I hope you psyched yourself up & went to the group @beanielou. You might meet someone lovely to be your friend. If they've been before, they'll keep you right. And/or you might learn something new, and/or have a laugh. The first time will be hard, but if you like it, you'll go back, & if not, it's ok. You've still got all of us 😀

Didn't exercise first thing, as felt a bit queasy after all of last night's food! I did walk 4.5 miles with DH though after breakfast.
Made soup with the last of the cheap sproutmas parsnips, so dinner all sorted.
Unpicked two body length zips & replaced them with Velcro. Hopefully the subs for football team will be cosy at the weekend now!
More programmes deleted off the box & utoob.
Grateful for a beautiful day, DS3 getting an appointment to see the surgeon, getting a big sewing job done & being brave to say that the payment left was only enough for one zip!Use it up, wear it out

Yesterday was NSD # 8 for meI also managed to declutter a stack of roof tiles from the garden. Some of these were here when we bought the house, and some left by the roofer when we had the roof done. I must have moved them round our not very big garden about 6 times! I listed them free to collect and a lady picked them up after work, to edge some borders in her garden. I was so pleased someone could use them rather than them just go to the tip!8

"Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like
teardrops
Weakened by my soulful cries.
You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your
hatefulness
But still, like air, I'll rise

Good evening 🌖
Yesterday and today both spend days. Slightly gutted as saw a 5% cashback offer on a supermarket on one of my apps. I rarely use this place but decided to go and do a big shop. When I got home to check the app - it hadn't registered the buy. I realised the T&Cs said I had to pay with VISA and I'd paid with MC 🤦🏻♂️ I live and learn!!! Still - earned some points towards vouchers haha
Paid another £150.00 off my debt - meaning my DFD is now later this month!!! I can't believe it. I have just re-done my budget for next month without my credit card payments [has freed up £150.00 / month] so I can start paying into things like a fund for white goods replacement, a holiday, a clothing budget and a health/wellbeing budget. It'll all go in a savings account and just build up. It's my equivalent of an emergency fund.
Today = NSD number 7 (still)
Today I am grateful for:
1) The light at the end of the tunnel 🌞
2) Coffee ☕
3) Endings and new beginnings
Have a nice evening folks xx⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Apologies I have been in Italy this week, as I am at my mum's house helping her declutter and packing for her move in the new house in a couple of months. We have thrown away quite a bit of things in the basement and some bulky old electricals in my dad's old study, which is still full of things despite him having passed 20 years ago. I fully packed my room, as I've never really done it, and I threw away a total of 9 boxes (!!!) full of papers, notes and notebooks, essays, etc from university. Lots of memories as well, lots of decisions, which has been utterly exhausting, luckily I took a couple of days off so I could fully focus on it. Beyond my room there is still so much to do, and I have booked to be back here in April, but she should have moved by then, so I was considering if maybe I should take another couple of days and come for a long weekend. I will decide next week.
There is still tomorrow, as I'm flying back on Sunday, so hopefully I can still achieve a lot tomorrow.
It was lovely to catch up with the thread today, big hugs to everyone who needs one.Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:

My day started off really well. Planned to go for a walk with DH after breakfast. On a spur of the moment, I told him to get in the car, not telling him where we were going! I drove us to a popular sight & we walked along the cliffs to the next bay. I'd reached into my treats bag to get some rations to suck on the way, surprisingly pulled out a packet of love hearts. How appropriate! Arrived home just as a customer pulled in, to drop a sewing job off.
Spent the afternoon doing a different sewing job.
Received a message from my cousin, to see if I was home. Phoned her, & she shared the news that her oldest brother had passed away at lunchtime. He's been fighting the big C for quite a few years. So sad 😓 phoned my mum & brother to tell them.
Did the ironing after tea, now I'm going to sit & knit & watch something good on TV.
Grateful for a lovely time this morning, my cousin contacting me, my family ❤️Use it up, wear it out
