Yesterday ended up being an unexpected nsd so I think I’m on #6. I always find the school holidays hard to get a nsd as the kids need to go somewhere or buy something everyday. Need to do a big food shop but putting it off as long as I can. Will need a top up shop today for bread, milk, fresh fruit and veg. Everything is just so expensive recently and food shopping is the worst. Average family of 4 has gone up to over £680 a month!Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #827

Hope your appointment went well, beanie. Are you enjoying your new kitchen? We bought our insurance for going to Canada at Easter the other day. It was a ridiculous amount, but that's due to dh moving beyond the age of 65. By buying insurance for me and Pip separately from him, we saved nearly £300!I too have had cataract surgery in one eye. I'd previously had a partially detached retina and the cataract grew following that surgery. That must be about 10 years ago now. And now the other eye has decided that it's feeling left out and has started growing one of its own. I totally understand the difference in depth perception.Grandmanerd, I'm imagining you without a back wall. Or at least with gaping holes in the back of your house. Please tell me I'm wrong!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

My ankle is improving but still weak. My sleeping pattern is gradually moving back to where it should be. Diet was a bit carb heavy today (made toast instead of going for a yoghurt from the fridge) but feeling okay. Lots of resting although another bin bag of floor carp went out (and bits for the other bins). Washing up done (only 2 bowls and a plate) and the rest of the washing went out and a new load put in during the day and just set going.
Grateful for sleep (woke at 7 am but dozed after pills and breakfast), lots of water and good books.7 -
Hugs @beanielou. It's done & out the way now. Keep looking at your lovely kitchen to take your mind off it.
NSD#12
An early start. DS3 up for work, yoga & Norwegian done. Managed to read a chapter of my book whilst eating breakfast too 😊
Inset day, need I say more?!
Phoned mum, then did 2 sewing jobs after tea, & messaged with cousins.
Grateful for my work besties, messages with family, my warm fire, after the heating not working properly in school todayUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Good evening 🌔
Thanks for all the hugs everyone!
Just a quick check-in tonight as super-tired. Had an OH appointment and we are just fine tuning my return to work. I have promised to start to become more active over the next few weeks to see how tired I get as have been a bit of a couch potato. I am going to re-implement my marbles 😅 (where I pick a marble each time i do mindfulness, a nature walk or the gym - and my activity levels then pay me for the week after). When I'm on it - it does work!!!
As of now... I am officially (aside from my mortgage)...
⭐ DEBT FREE!!! ⭐
I treated myself to a game as a reward, and have re-jigged next month's budget to include a holiday, clothing, health & well being section - as well as white goods, and a month ahead category. I have also created a wish list in my budget where I can list up to 3 items I want to save for. No more impulse buys - I can trickle money in and buy it when I have saved for it - not buy now, pay later (unless it was an absolute emergency).
Today = spend day
Total NSD = 8
I am grateful for:
1) Finally clearing my credit card debts!
2) The opportunities, and support I have had to get there
3) The end of my debt chapter - and the start of a new way of living
See you all tomorrow x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐
Follow your heart & be true to yourself always

Delurking to ask @abundant1972 to post any advice on the debt free roll of honour board. Success stories really help others on their debt free journeys and encouraged me when I started mine. Congratulations and well done 👏
