You have this one life
How do you want to spend it?
Apologising? Regretting? Questioning?
Hating yourself? Dieting?
Running after people who don't see you?
Be brave. Believe in yourself.
Do what feels good. Take risks.
You have this one life. Make yourself proud.

Still here! Just boring myself to death with more cleaning and decluttering. So tedious that I did not want to bore you with it. No end in sight, and no exciting building improvements to look forward to. Just dirt, and a couple of job interviews I am not sure I even want - they were very wooly on the roles they were hiring for. Not sure they actually know themselves what they need. Never going to end well!
You have not been cast adrift, fear not.
Bizarrely, I have still got a week left til payday and the budget purse is 3/4 full ......... how?

Sorry, I have been MIA as I was away Monday to Friday last week. I then wrote a long post yesterday and promptly lost itI have lost track of NSDs which is a shame as I was doing quite well this month for a changeHoliday wasn't very spendy, as accommodation was paid for ages in advance and was shared with DD2 and family. We only really bought food bits and not much of that as we took lots with us. OH bought himself a coat, but he needed a lighter one..I was pleased I managed to squeeze in my trusty air fryer, as the cooking facilities consisted of an unintuitive oil fired Aga / Rayburn thing which most of the time stayed lukewarm but the oven occasionally became red hotHad a chilled day at home yesterday, managed to sell a nice stone bird bath base (the buyer didn't want the concrete bird bath top, so I have paired this with a concrete base and have now listed that. I have no idea why I had so many bird bath partsToday we went out for lunch with an old friend, which was a bit spendy but not something we often do.Looking forward to being properly back to normal tomorrow, which will have to start with shopping as the fridge is virtually empty and I have run out of, or low on various pantry staples too.7

And that is the end of half term! We had a lovely visit from big sis and bil, we've been bouldering several times, I've made it to the gym and to liddle, plenty of bunting has been made, we've had friends over for lunch, holiday insurance has been purchased, 3 ingredient brownies have been consumed, audiobooks listened to, and -inevitably - Pip left most of his hwk until today🤣.Any volunteers to set up march? As ever, I'm very willing to do it 😁NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

A good day at work Friday, followed by going to a quiz at night. We came 4th out if 12, so pleased with that. I answered the music round & got 37/40 🎉 my friend told everyone I'd been on PopMaster a few years ago.
Had stayed over at mum's, & DS1 too. Went shopping yesterday, then walked into town to get my haircut, & back, before driving back home. Was a lovely day, but I was shattered, so had a nap in the afternoon, as another friend had postponed again. Watched a film after tea with DS1.
Yellow wind warning today, but DS1 was going for a walk, so I said I'd go too. Ended up walking further than originally planned 8.7 miles!! Face wind all the way home. Was glad DH had lit the fire. Watched a film together, but I nodded off for the last half hour, good job I'd seen it before 🤣
Did 2 sewing jobs after tea.
Grateful for a good day with DS, that there was only 2 light showers on our walk, Epsom salts in my bath, fun at the quiz, time with mumUse it up, wear it out

I decided I was going to have a good day. Slept as long as I needed to which turned out to be nearly11 am. Set off up the stairs in good time, did all the basics, sat and read my 'upstairs book' until I felt okay to comeback down. I settled on toast for my first meal. Couldn't find my ankle strap but found the pair to my trainers so thankfully gave the wellies a rest, Too wet to put more washing outside (I nearly had it all dry at one point) so I had a mostly relaxing afternoon - my ankle needed it and both upper arms/ shoulders are aching too (probably from helping to drag myself upstairs).
Afternoon tea was a stir fry eaten raw (broccoli, pak choi, green beans, red cabbage, red spring onions, baby sweetcorn and carrot curls with half a pack of baby mushrooms and a whole pack of beetroot coleslaw (beetroot, pink cabbage and apple. Quite expensive but think I packed enough veg in (feel energised). Some stir fry mix and baby mushrooms left which will be added to leftover rainbow carrots and sugar snap peas from yesterday as a jumping off point for tomorrow.
I found my pinsentry machine yesterday (that and the trainer were under the little table which is a bit blocked off - I've been pulling things out and bagging them all week). Checked my bank accounts. Only let me in on my second attempt and then redirected me to the error page before I'd got everything written down so will try again tomorrow. Just going to take a few things to the bins (one small bag at a time) then settle down to puzzles and books
Grateful for yummy raw veg, time to rest and getting there slowly. Hope I can move more tomorrow.10 -
Busy week at work last week, and was also in the office twice. Nthing exciting happening here, apart from the usual things, I've just experienced one of those "trying to do 1000 things at once" weekends, which is great, but I always end up disappointed on the Monday, because I have to start working again, and haven't even done half of the things I set out to do on the Saturday morning.
Both Saturday and yesterday I did a nice long walk to the park with OH and the dog, which was very nice.
I have booked an appointment this coming Friday to have someone come and measure the bedroom windows for a quote on blinds, as I haven't put anything on the windows since I removed the old curtains in September, when we renovated the room. Now that mornings are getting lighter we really need to put something, and also I need the blinds to manage the sun (and the heat) when it will be warm, otherwise I will not be able to work in the room, where I usually set up my desk. I waited until end of the month, in the hope that I can delay installing them until the end of March payday, when I will be paid my yearly reward bonus. I still don't know how much it is (it's usually not much), so I can't really plan for it, and especially I hope I will have enough left to pay for the blinds once I've paid for the water bill, which made me feel really angry when I received it two weeks ago (I sadly am with Thames Water). My hope was to make a substantial overpayment to one of the credit cards, and maybe have a small amount to put in the savings a count for emergency, but I'm not sure there will be enough left after paying for the blinds. Please send positive abundance vibes my way, as I think next week might be the week when I find out the actual amount.

Positive vibes @laura_lau & hope you feel more rested tomorrow @grandmanerd.
NSD#15, though gave DH money for his bus fare for a hospital appointment.
Felt a bit lightheaded first thing, but managed exercises & Du0lingo. DS1 decided to go for a long trek before I left, so DS2 was quite pleased he'd have the house to himself for a change!
A good day at work, my usual morning pupil was off, do I worked with a different one, & sourced & printed resources, then climbed up ladders to display them. Have my annual review tomorrow, first time with this Head Teacher, so hoping it all goes ok 🤞
Dropped a birthday present at a friend's on the way home & received my sproutmas present. Had a good catch up.
Unpicked a coat zip after tea & replaced it with a new one. Quite tired now, so will read my book, then go to sleep.
Grateful for a good day, pupil's parents feeling able to chat with me, seeing a friendUse it up, wear it out
