Good evening 🌔
Thanks for all the congratulations! It seemed for awhile that I would never get there - then all of a sudden it was here. Today felt a bit flat - like I was expecting to suddenly feel amazing and burden free. I think it is maybe because it has been a focus for so many years and I'm in that 'what now' space. Debt busting I felt passionate about. What did those of you who are debt free do when you suddenly found you were 'there!'

Today I am grateful for:
1) My spiritual practice that lifts my mood
2) My friends and family
3) My little apartment and my car
I need to find my ignition 🔥 switch and zest for life again - as it seems absent at the moment. Think I need some sunshine 🌞
Tomorrow I will start... honest guv! 😉⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Congratulations abundant and more hugs too. I can't match f0xh0les gymnastics, I'll just wave a feeble pompom. Ankle is still bound up, very painful and just done a few things limping around the house.
Grateful for rest, a large prawn salad (prawns, a 'prawn cocktail', a bag of mushroom stir fry, the remains of the oldest box of cherry tomatoes and some chopped up broccoli, mange tout and green beans with lots of lemon juice). Very slow grazing meal over 3 hours. Good books, the couch and yewtoob videos.8 -
Congratulations @abundant1972 🎉
After my cousin telling me about her weight loss through going to the gym, reducing portion sizes, etc, it spurred me on to be more active. Her big birthday is 3 weeks after mine, so guess we must both want to be fitter for our 50th! Instead of yoga today, I did a 20 minute exercise video on yootoob. Managed to get to the end, without having to sit down halfway through 😂
Pleased I'd made my dinner for work on Monday, so I had time to read whilst eating my breakfast.
Work went ok. Stopped for diesel on the way home.
More customers collecting sewing.
Sewed all the ends in on the jumper, whilst watching the new Martin Clunes series, it's good do far!
Grateful for not collapsing when exercising, laughs with family at teatime, getting another big job finishedUse it up, wear it out

Mindful living means choosing to live grateful for the gifts in every season. It means consciously and stubbornly mining for these gifts.

Be so calm about it that it ends up working itself out.
Sometimes you just need to surrender it and enter the
trusting phase to allow things to come together for you.

back on the couch. My ankle is still painful and my lower leg and hip must have been trying to compensate and they are also aching. I woke several times in the night and couldn't get back to sleep. I did bundle one of the bedspreads into a heap and prop my ankle up. Took ibuprofen first thing and that and propping the ankle up have eased it a little. When I needed to move I'm using my walking stick and have the ankle strapped and short wellies for support. Very very slow.
I asked DS3 to bring baby wipes from upstairs, fill 2 x 1litre bottles of water and move my walker to the end of the couch. I'm hoping to sit on the walker and put clothes and other things into bags for life and bag up the latest pile of sweepings (another reason to move the walker as I needed to sweep out that area).
I've spent money to do a 'big shop' (expensive but probably better than the small orders which are sometimes limited in what they sell - pushing more expensive branded goods). That's coming tomorrow evening between 7 pm and 8 pm when I hope I'll be able to stand up more. The earliest slot was from 5 pm but I chose one of the 'green' slots (the van is delivering close by so less van miles). Another reason why the order is expensive is because I've picked lots of 'grab and go' foods - ready salads (healthy well mixed salads not the lettuce and tomato with a bit of protein added) and colourful stir fry mixes (which again will be eaten raw), things to go on sandwiches plus wraps, white rolls and a toast loaf (had the last of the loaf yesterday and the small order didn't send the loaf and rolls I ordered) and 'picnic' type food - scotch eggs and crustless quiche. All this because I need to get the ankle better and if that means staying on the couch I can at least feed myself.
I did make an important phone call yesterday. They had the most dreadful on hold musak I've ever heard. The call took 54 minutes and I was willing myself to hang on and not start screaming. But it's done (I did raise the matter but not sure if she will pass it on) another thing off my list and a loose end tied off.
Sorry if that sounded moany. I'm fine really just frustrated by my limitations (I have a skip to fill). I have thought of a couple of things I can do whilst stuck on the couch.
Gratfeul for the couch, food deliveries, good books, series and puzzle books.9 -

Thanks for all the hugs everyone!
Just a quick check-in tonight as super-tired. Had an OH appointment and we are just fine tuning my return to work. I have promised to start to become more active over the next few weeks to see how tired I get as have been a bit of a couch potato. I am going to re-implement my marbles 😅 (where I pick a marble each time i do mindfulness, a nature walk or the gym - and my activity levels then pay me for the week after). When I'm on it - it does work!!!
As of now... I am officially (aside from my mortgage)...
⭐ DEBT FREE!!! ⭐
I treated myself to a game as a reward, and have re-jigged next month's budget to include a holiday, clothing, health & well being section - as well as white goods, and a month ahead category. I have also created a wish list in my budget where I can list up to 3 items I want to save for. No more impulse buys - I can trickle money in and buy it when I have saved for it - not buy now, pay later (unless it was an absolute emergency).
Today = spend day

I am grateful for:
1) Finally clearing my credit card debts!
2) The opportunities, and support I have had to get there
3) The end of my debt chapter - and the start of a new way of living
See you all tomorrow xMortgage free wannabee 2022 #828 -
Wednesday and Thursday both ended up being nsds as I didn’t need to spend any money. I’m going to envelope all clubs etc for the new term tomorrow. I thought I might need to spend money today but then hubby went to the shops to pick up some bits. 🥳Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #827

Did Norwegian, then new fitness video again. A bit achy from doing it yesterday, but think my shoulders are a little less stiff.
A good day at work. Changed the bedding once home & listed 2 things online. One sold in less than an hour! Ka-ching!
Did 2 sewing jobs after tea.
Grateful for an easy day, a short working week, feeling more positive about exercise (I CAN do it 😊) & being in a good moodUse it up, wear it out

Sorry for my absence, it's been an explosive couple of days and I still haven't been able to go further than the back door (with a hobble and a limp). I have been patiently shuffling stuff off the couch for several hours and Mr and Mrs Builder have just arrived so I asked for help. The ottoman stool is now on top of the couch instead of one of the decrepit cushions and it's just the right height for standing up and sitting down. I still have a pile of things to sort and more in bags but I have found a lot of things. These included the notebook I want to write things in to send to my cousin (she's ground to a halt with getting her mother's house fit for her to move into, is tired of workmen, is quite worried about her son and her ex is hanging around - he ran off with another woman many years ago, moved to a second woman and is now looking for sympathy and handouts).
I found the small notebook for addresses and the battered temporary one that actually has the addresses in. I haven't found the missing library book (but did renew them all online) and also found a k!tK@t. a m@r@thon bar and a p£ngu!n, 2 cans and three part filled water bottles. DS3 finally brought the bins back to the house and the first bin bag went in. Think it might be a couple of hours before I take another. My food order came and some of it has been put away (some has been eaten).
Going to take 2 ibuprofen, wait until they kick in and see what else I can do. Washing is stalled because they have put something in the WM and want to let it dry in the machine.
Grateful for lots of fun things to pass the time whilst I'm stuck on the couch, the new arrangement which means I can stand up and sit down, lots of easy food.
