Back to early starts to wake DS3 up for work, only I seemed to wake an hour earlier (5.30). Got yoga & Norwegian done, then fried some garlic mushrooms to have on toast for my dinner.
Saw the sunrise reflecting on the breast of a male pheasant on the grass verge, on the way to work, it made me smile. Managed to go for a walk when k got home, before it got dark.
A late tea as DH had had an afternoon appointment at the hospital. Cut & pinned 2 pairs of trousers, will see them tomorrow
Grateful for a nice walk, nature & the bell at 3.30Use it up, wear it out

What I Do When It Starts Getting Bad Again (@crazyheadcomics)
Writing tasks into simple check lists
Drinking lots of warm drinks
Picking up after myself as I go, before the mess gets overwhelming
Journaling
Taking a short walk every day
Crying it out
Listening to uplifting songs
Reminding myself of the things I find fun
Planning extra yummy dinners
Doing the opposite of what the depression voice says
Sticking to a routine as much as possible
Trying not to isolate
Lots of deep breathing
Gentle To Do List for Very Bad Days
Essentials Shower Medication
Clean one thing/ space
Tend something growing (a child, a plant, an animal)
Be mindfully present to
a sound or song
a sensory feeling
something you see
a spiritual practice
Reach out to a human beyond your home
Do one thing to get your heart rate up
And do one thing you'll be glad you did later

Today I have made some more of those yummy scrummy 3 ingredient brownies and added a 4th ingredient - cherries. It's like a black forest gateau! Slurp. I thoroughly recommend it.I have 3 bagfuls to take to the ch shop when I go to collect Pip; I have renewed my prescription and my online DBS thingy; I've done 2 loads of laundry - no room to hang a third one!; I've sent my sister a pic of the sewing I finished for her plus an item she left behind after her recent visit; I've put clothes away off the airer; been for a walk too.Overall, it's been a happy and productive day.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

I know you wrote this several days ago grandmanerd, but this has really resonated with me: Write down your goals and take them seriously. Thank you!

Shopping today, so I also paid the milk bill and ordered the garden items that I need for my planned reorganisation, so it is still NSD # 7 for me.Made a big chilli with some reduced mince I got from the supermarket plus loads of veg. I will also make a fish pie, and that will be dinners for most of the rest of the week, as I am working for the next 3 days.Did a bit in the garden this afternoon as it is dry for a change. Moved some logs out of the mini greenhouse and then moved the greenhouse itself along a bit to fill an awkward corner of wasted space. OH helped with this, as I couldn't have lifted it on and off its pallet by myself. It is made from wood and perspex, so heavier than the polythene type with plastic supports. Then I moved a birdbath which luckily comes apart into 3 pieces as it would be very heavy indeed otherwise. It had sunk into the ground somewhat, so I filled the resulting hole with old compost from a large pot.I moved a small sorrel plant to a different location, and harvested a single spring onionMy chilli seedlings have germinated on the windowsill, so I got the growlight thingy out of the loft, set it up and put them in, so they don't get too leggy. It is dark in this old house, so they need all the help they can get. I only need a couple of plants to keep us in chillies all year (I freeze them, you can chop them straight from the freezer), so if they all survive there will be extras to give away or swap

Yesterday and today were nsds so I’m up to #4. Feeling sick of winter! Today has been dark, cold and damp. The kind of moist weather that gets in your bones.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #827

Good evening 🌔
Love the garden stories DawnW - I live in an apartment so no garden here. Just my windowsills that get ludicrously hot in Summer.
Saw my Nurse today and she was happy with my progress. Otherwise a quiet day.
Today = NSD number 7
Today I am grateful for:
1) Cheerful company that broke the day up
2) The batch cooking I had done so I didn't have to just eat toast haha
3) My computer games
Have a nice evening folks xx⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Felt meh most of the day, so was glad when the bell rang at 3.30! Went straight home & had a nap.
Shortened 3 pairs of trousers & repaired another one after tea.
Grateful for the glue on my floppy clown shoe staying stuck (DS1 mended it for me), 2 new customers today, messages with friendsUse it up, wear it out

No matter what, hang on to the part of you
that gasps at a beautiful sunset or gets super excited
at a new notebook or a freshly baked cupcake
or a dog you just met on the street.
Allow yourself to be regularly startled and humbled by JOY

Good morning!
What's Norwegian Thrifty?
Have a day to catch up today, but will be a spend day. Payment cleared but have used it to top up my car fund to cover tax, insurance, maintenance/service - as that's all due in May. Also had unexpected expense - apparently I am responsible or the fire safety door check in my apartment as I own it (not the property managers). It's only once a year thankfully but was just short of £60. The way I am looking at it is - I vale my apartment so much - so ensuring it is protected in the event of a fire, is a form of self-care, given it gives me so much back.
Today = NSD number 7 (still)
Today I am grateful for:
1) My little apartment
2) New friendships
3) My budgeting app
Have a nice day folks.
PS. Full Moon 🌕 in the sign of Leo ♌ today so if emotions are running high, that could be why! Full Moons are a good time to forgive, and release that which no longer serves us.
