Seems like you will try for external venting, but if you are going for recirculation then you will need a compatible recirculation kit for the hood - so don't get the hood unless/until you have sourced the reciculation kit for it (I doubt it comes with the hood).  These usually come with an appropriate length of flexible ducting (very short as it only goes up to the vents in the chimney).

Re the noisiness of the Candy, the Which report says it is not too noisy but that they have found other hoods which are quieter.  Not a particularly informative comment!

We have two electricians out today. First one said that it would be possible to install external venting but incredibly difficult and would have to life up the laminate flooring in bedroom above and go up rather than straight on ground floor and then make the exit from up stairs.

The reason being is there is only 5cm between fake and real ceiling and there's also the supporting boards that would need to be cut through as they run parallel and block the path of the ducking to run straight from the fan. More so there's the boiler pipes in the way to run it straight from fan and how can we get around them.
    Please see photos.
He said yes it's possible to do it via the upstairs bedroom but very complex and alot of work. He said also the ducking is 150mm and no space to run that straight from the fan to outside.
He said he could install a fan in the wall alot easier if we wanted to do that. He said it would run constantly as they are susppose too.
He said maybe we should just use it as a recirculating fan and see how it goes and there's always the option to change to an external fan later, even though very difficult.
He advised to get the carbon filters as they may not come with it and make sure its adaptable with the model. Any links from yiu guys for that I would appreciate it as a bit confused with that.

2nd guy didn't really look much and just said he could run a flexible 100mm ducking along straight from fan. But don't think he took into account the support floorboards and boiler pipe obstruction. He said 100mm is totally fine even though 150mm is advised in manual. He said its flexible so can squeeze along that 5cm in height gap between false and real ceiling.

    Amy advixe appreciate it.

Looks like the Candy (if that is the one you want) does not have a recirculation kit as such (where they do they tend to have a short piece of flexible ducting which takes the air to a diverter at the top of the chimney where the air is diverted through the vents).  It seems to just blow the air into the chimney and let it find its on way out throug the vents.  But you need a charcoal filter - a Google showed that there appear to be ones which either fit exactly (Candy sell them as spares) or compatibles which can be cut to fit but suggest you investigate as you will need to change them regularly.

Also consider getting your new hood positioned lower - it looks quite high even for a gas hob (which requires the most clearance between hob and hood) so ask fitter about that.

Are you sure that there is a recirculation kit for the Candy (the conveyor assembly is something different - it's the fan)?  It looks to me as if it takes just a charcoal filter - the instructions don't refer to a recirculation kit, just the filter.  Suggest call Candy to ask if in doubt (if they have a customer service line....).

As t'Frog says, a read of the instructions makes no mention at all of any kit requirement for the recirculating format, just the use of charcoal filters - replace every year min.
Ducting is required for ext vent, that's all.
How are you blocking the ceiling hole?
And, as mentioned earlier by someone, is the current height ideal, or would you prefer it lower? There is obviously a min height level, different depending on whether gas or leccy, but beyond this the main deciding factors are 'does it gets in the way?', and 'the lower the better for effectiveness'.

Thanks all spoke to another advisor and he said all you need to buy is the carbon filters. That's it.
Forget about needing a recirculating kit etc. Not needed.
Just need to know the ideal height to put it

Also will the top be open so blowing into that hole on the ceiling? Or will I need to seal up that hole with tape or something?

The top will be open and as this hood does not have recirculation diverters it will blow into the ceiling.  You need to close up the hole and then it will get pushed through the vents in the side of the chimney - which is what should happen - instead of into the ceiling void.

For idea height, suggest you get fitter to hold it at minimum level off the hob and if you are not comfortable with that raise it until you are comfortable.  As @ThisIsWeird syas, it is a trade off between effectiveness (lower the better) and convenience.  I tend to go for as low as possible on gas.
