So back to work and had a lovely day, £0 spends too so even better.
did a few miles today so can claim some mileage this month.
have made lamb curry to have tomorrow (my version 😊)for dinner as I have a late meeting that goes on a bit so it will be nice to have something done. Will put it in slow cooker in morning but just cooking it a bit now, otherwise potatoes can be a bit hard. 1/3 £0 spends this week, aiming for 3 this week.
left over fish pie and beans tonight 😊
now I’ve swapped to agile I just microwave tea rather than put oven on during peak times.
curry is on gas hob so that’s not too bad

happy Wednesday, busy day planned at work and i have a joint visit with a colleague so hopefully it will be a good learning opportunity.
anyway plan is for £0 spends today.
husband has left over lasagne from freezer so he won’t spend £ in Tesco for lunch and I’ve made my salad already last night.
organisation is key!
putting lamb curry on slow cooker when I get up.
Gonna sort laundry and put that on at cheaper time if I can time my visits and get home about lunchtime , Agile a bit cheaper at 1 ish which would be when I get home but gone are the cheaper days of late.
still i think it’s cheaper than a fix rate.
solar is doing ok, nearly breaking even on usage and output.
decided not to overpay mortgage anymore this month as we have done well so far and next month we have to pay for blinds so will keep £ extra in saver account and I’ll pay the holiday in full on payday which will add £65 to next months budget.
Keeping savings is key for next 3 months we will loose £356 out of my wages and we will have to carefully budget for any overpayments.

2/3 no spend days today and I’m hoping tomorrow will be same, still have 170 miles left in car so shouldn’t have to put fuel in until Friday/sat at push.
had a good day and finished on time.
lamb curry ended up tasting like a tagine somehow, still nice but not at all like curry.
made enough for tomorrow lunch, have enough for hubby and I to take.
gonna have kipper rice, peas and onion tomorrow night.
wages not yet affected by my overpayment repayment plan so not too bad, plan to save it all though to offset the next few months reduction in income.
put wash on at cheaper time and managed to pop out on line , did this during lunch break, beauty of hybrid home working.
tomorrow I’m in office for most of the day so washing up to date, popped dishwasher on timer to come on early morning when it’s cheaper, it will be ready for when I get up, although i have an early start so I’ll leave hubby that job 😛
£100 should be coming back fro octopus as they have 600 pounds of our money so I’ve taken mmt advice and taken a bit out, will put that in mortgage ac when it gets paid into account.
11 days till holiday and only 6 working days, definitely on count down now 😊😊☀️

So it wasn’t a £0 day today as husband got petrol and I used loads at work so whilst I will get mileage back, it does mean i will have to fill up tomorrow, ready for our trip to Epping and rugby at Twickenham, really looking forward to that.
countdown to holiday, now 9 1/2 days to go.
had a lazy freezer tea tonight as I’m really tired tonight.
Thank goodness it’s Friday tomorrow and I have a nice back massage to look forward to.
2/3 no spend days, looks like Sunday will have to be no spend day to meet the target.

Big spends today on petrol as I filled car up 😢
plus i have my monthly massage later
and potentially expensive Saturday as we are at Twickenham.
really excited though, hopefully it will be worth the trip, although I’m not excited about the dreadful toilet/queues.
we have hospitality tickets so one meal plus one drink included so that will help reduce expenditure a bit.
back to searching for jobs again. Just a bit bored today

Happy Sunday 😊
was exhausted after yesterday’s antics at Twickenham!
that’s something ticked off my bucket list,
was an amazing experience and a very tense game. Really enjoyed it and rugby fans are the best, family friendly experience.
Ended up being cheaper than expected as we had booked a corporate package, not fully inclusive one but ours included clubhouse and food and one drink, they had water on bar.
the meal provided was huge, left half my chips.
had 1 pint of Guinness.
drank water after that as they had iced water on bar, didn’t get dinner as I was still full from late lunch.
the best thing about getting a package is use of clubhouse so we could sit watch rugby before game started, get a seat and the very important use of pleasant toilet facilities, I’m sorry but it was totally worth paying just for that 😛
i
the only costs on top were tube and train tickets and a bottle water and lucozade for hub.
oh and I bought a baseball cap in the stadium which had been reduced from £20 to £10.
thought the train from Waterloo to Twickenham were going to be a lot, on machine it looked like £17 each, got train app, 2 for 1 ticket used.
got both tickets return for £20 total.
not sure what tube costs are yet.
estimated spending was £75
i had allowed £100 so I’m sure I’m under budget.
my next plan is to link my Oyster card to my 2 for 1 railcard as I’ve been told that also gets you discounts on tube.
the only trouble is you have to do that at main station but that would be so worth doing as we would have saved big over last few weeks.
we plan on a trip back in June/July
want to see stranger things so will be sorting that out.
Got a £100 back from Octopus energy so popped that in mortgage.
1 week til holiday.

Managed to pop another £190 in mortgage from savings, tempted to put final £200 in, have got until May 12th to do that.
my overpayment allowance this year was £7770
have paid £7570 so very close to target.
Have got some savings but aware it’s getting more on interest but still tempted as £200 is so close 😉

I'd do it anyway - how much £££ will the interest on that £200 actually add up to over that time? What's worth more, a few pence, or the satisfaction of knowing you hit the limit?Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
