So I didn’t spend any money today but hubby bought himself £3.50 meal deal so not too bad, he’s bad at making himself lunch especially Fridays, I usually make sure there are leftovers and he takes them for lunch as he hates sandwiches.
anyway I’ve just noticed octopus has put a £400 charge on Tesco credit card and it should be refunded, it not showing - which refunds usually do ??
so I’ll keep an eye as currently it’s sat pending so it has been known to change.
i tell you, you have to keep an eye on these companies. I thought it was paid back to d/d account 😕

This weekend hasn’t been great for no spending, hubby bought loft boards £25 for 2 lots as he’s got some sorting to do in garage.
then He annoyed me as i knew we would be out all day so i offered to make him a sandwich for lunch, he declined, then he ended up needing to eat as he had underestimated time needed to clear his dads garage so he bought a roll out, i guess i saved us some money, then his poor mum wasn’t to good so we ended up staying as i wanted the community nurse to come make her comfortable. We needed to pick up daughter at station so had to buy dinner out, cheaper option was spoons at £18.
it was snowing so we didn’t want to trek home so stayed out till her train came in then bought a few things from b&m while waiting, some cheap coffee for hubby and I got a great turntable for fridge, have one already and I love it, gonna buy 2 more as they are fabulous, so spent a few quid there.
Today should be £0 day, that’s the plan.
think we will need to spend some time with hubs
    mum today ❤️
will be taking snacks and a thermos of tea, the tea they provide is so gross, sure they wave a tea bag over it 🤣🤣

Hello so it’s nearly time to go back to work and I have decided to stay in present job as I do enjoy it and pay is ok.
i withdrew an application then reinstated it, I will be interested to see if I’m shortlisted but might not interview, would mean pay cut and shift work so…
i really need to just keep going with present job as I’ve only got 12 years to retirement and it’s not really time to take a pay cut, it would probably take me 4 years to get back to earning same £ as I do now and it’s a wast of earning potential.
i also get part of my nhs pension in 5 years so i need to max out my pension really, so now is not the time to take a pay cut!
today I took daughter out ( this is a theme 😜but I know I’m back to working 9 day fortnight soon, so spending on lunch out will be a distant memory.
£30 spent today so £78 left in spends budget to last 2 days.
i have lunch tomorrow with my past student buddies but it’s just me and they have £9 special deals which I will be getting.
My aim is for 15 no spend days next month.
When I work full time I literally spend nothing, occasionally buying coffee and only on a Friday as an end of week treat.

So another potential hit to my mortgage overpayment this month, not only will my wages be less because of sick now they have not taken enough tax, I kinda knew this so put an estimated amount of money away which luckily is just about right
but unsure how they are going to take £500 in 2 months as that’s what government gateway says, it will be taken by 2025 April, luckily I’ll use savings but it’s a pain!
just don’t know how much I’m getting until 23rd ish, payday 25th
I also think they paid me too much last month as it should have been half pay from 13th January so I’ll probably get a letter saying I owe them that 😢
I’ll do that in instalments as I spent those wages thinking it was right!
anyway last day before returning to work, looking forward to my 2 day week this week 😊😜
At least next month wages will be returning to near normal, apart from tax being clawed back
meeting friends for £9 lunch today, gonna stick with special offer 👍👍
