So today has been quite productive and I find baking is really relaxing and apart from electricity I’ve just been using up all my baking stores so it’s all good, the only problem is they taste too good so as soon as they are cool they have to go straight in freezer otherwise the temptation is too great!

The baking looks good, great idea to put them in the freezer to prevent too much temptation 😁

so today I’m pleased with myself as I went into the city and walked from outskirts to save myself some pennies on parking and it was a lovely day for a stroll. I really grudge how expensive it is!
I also made my self a sandwich and took some fruit for lunch as I got back to car hungry and would have bought some rubbish out in city if i didn’t think I had lunch waiting in car.
After that I drove to Aldi on route home and just bought some salad leaf and fruit as on my health kick so did really well with minimal spends.
my appointment was paid for last month so it’s almost like it doesn’t count 🤣🤣
I then have cleared some of my old paperwork, decided it would be good idea just to burn it in a fire pit outside, definitely not a good idea as it was so smoky, luckily I live in the stix but all the same I think I’ll just take it to my work’s confidential waste next time as I felt bad for the environment 😕
my daughter has a interview next week for a job while she waits to hear about her cruise contract.im hoping she gets it as I
I need her to contribute once she’s earning as our electricity and groceries have gone up since she arrived back and I’m now owing on electricity, only about -£10 but I had £1200 accrued so was feeling good, however because Octopus were not getting proper readings they have now wacked me with a huge bill, I sent some manual readings I was aware they had not billed me a few months but these were ignored. I also can’t make head not tail of billing and to make matters worse since they changed smart meter I can no longer read how many units I’ve used to check and the app isn’t showing the missing months, so frustrating as I’d like to check. I emailed them and they have basically said tough but look on bill but the bill makes no sense to me or hubby!
i think they do that on purpose!

back to board and lodgings thoughts,
my daughters happy to pay some board once she’s earning but it’s just hard waiting for her to start, the hospital she interviewing for can be really slow on the recruitment side 😕
she also needs to work as she tends to just slob about. She did hoover lounge today but only because hubby asked her too.anyway can’t complain really as she no trouble really compared to others she’s an angel 🥰

so I bought tickets for the great Gatsby in London, I love, love, love ! Jamie Muscato who is starring in it so I bought tickets for my birthday so £70 out of saving pot, i would have put it on visa but my daughter can get access tickets as she has a disability so we got 2 tickets for £70,half price and her phone wouldn’t accept my visa for some reason.
my April is getting really busy
first week is London landmarks for hubby, I’ve had to cancel my place due to ankle injury unfortunately.
Fortnight after I have great Gatsby then a week later we have rugby at Twickenham for my hubby‘s birthday.
So April may be an expensive month, but it’s all paid for so far 😳

It’s Friday and I’ve just been shopping, didnt go mad and kept within budget.
Will make a cake for weekend as I have some limes getting a bit old so a lime drizzle cake me thinks.
cleared fridge out and just made some veggie soup out of older veggies, rather than throw them away, so pleased with myself as I love a bit of homemade soup.
i have my monthly massage later today so it’s not a no spend day for me.
dropped daughter at train as she’s in London this weekend so it will be a bit cheaper if we go out. As I do tend to treat her as she’s currently in between jobs.
did have a word with her about time limits and her career though as she can make tax free money on cruise contract but it’s not a full time career as it’s so hit and miss and so much waiting around for jobs.
she has experience of hca work at hospital but our local hospital Has no money and has frozen recruitment for its bank so she now has to get a permanent job then hand her notice in a few months which is not ideal but will have to be done as she has no choice. I’ve said if she talks to them they may allow her a career break as she wants to eventually do her nursing apprenticeship.
luckily she has an interview next week so fingers crossed she gets it 🤞
the other interview I. A&E she’s been offered clashed with an audition for London work, I’m not sure if they offer alternative dates or if it’s tough luck??

Looking forward to seeing my mortgage begin with a 6, think I’ll use one of my saver accounts at end of year to overpay and I’ll aim for 10% this year, been inspired by another mortgage free wannabe , had planned in OP £3000, think with a bit of careful planning make it £6000, not quite 10% but double the goal is hopefully doable

Cancelled physio this month as I have my exercises and think I just need to be disciplined with those and can just go next month instead, would rather pay monthly than 3 weekly as that will make a bit of difference and it’s really up to me to make it better, just have to put the work in!
I think this getting old malarky sucks!
