So Disney are happy with daughters scan results it seems and now we have a bit of time to get the other tests done, we can breathe.
on the work front i have got past the first few stages and just a couple more shifts this week before starting training for my actual job.
Just paid off another £10 today to round that mortgage down.
looking if I can Achieve my MFW goal of £300 more this year, as I’ve got until July I don’t think I’ll bother, I will just OP small amounts to round down total.
I have a lot of expenditures coming out this month
    boiler service £135
    car tax £195
    plumbing bill ?
    hubbys prescription service £114.5
    Car insurance £?
think i need to up budget for house/car insurance to £200/mth.
i did also buy a few things from shein but i needed some trousers and they were really cheap, probably will get some £ back as im sure I’ll return something.

small win with GIFF GAFF , they are refunding my money and i will start again with a different email address as it seems i have a lot of accounts linked to my personal email which is messing up my joining.

On the in laws house sale front things are moving at a crippling slow pace as first buyers are bringing £ in from America and Dubai for deposit so the money laundering checks are slowing the process.
we think things must be moving though as they have arranged to survey the house they are purchasing so we are hanging on in there.
the chain is only 3 in total (including us) so better than some. Our buyers are off to Spain for 2 weeks but they have checked that they can sign electronically if needed. They are good at keeping us updated as the estate agent is bloody useless!
one day we will sell it but we have kind of forgotten about the sale and what that means for us as it’s been really difficult process. I suppose we still can’t believe it will happen.
don’t think it will change us much as we have some savings and my hubby still buys cycle gear off Vinted, loves a bargain that one 🤣🤣

Happy Monday, my how the weekends fly!
my final week training before I start my job and I’m already looking for another job, found one with funding for post grad diploma in CBT which is right up my street. Starts January so at least I’d know by then if this job is for me and if it isn’t I don’t have too long to bare it!
I also have to give 3 mths notice so knowing in advance really is helpful, have to obviously get said job too 🤞🤞I just have to be the right person on the day.
i have heard my present company are rubbish at approving AL and I can’t fight with people over what I’m owed.
I’ll apply this week for the new job.
hubby and I are off for a well deserved holiday ( hubby that is, I’ve had a holiday already), away for our anniversary, looking forward to that at end of hard 5 weeks slog!!
this AL was arranged before I started so had to be honoured 👍
This week should be totally online so saving fuel but I have to go in one day as we have a planned electricity cut Tuesday. I have over 100miles fuel left so my 20 mile round trip should be alright.
Plan 5 no spend days this week !!
plumbing bill £135 paid out of £ from octopus balance on closing account , remaining balance I’ve allocated for elec/fuse payments as that is not a set amount but i can estimate it via app pretty accurately, set up a elec ac in chase

  • i would need some capital to do some nail courses etc.
seriously thinking about it but I am older now, not sure about all this social media advertising you now need to do 😕
do people just want young therapists?

Definitely not,  I am always happy to have a slightly older technician and the experience they bring. 😊

Sorry things aren't working out with the new job.

    Enjoy your holiday x

That’s nice to know, thanks for that
I was self employed years ago and i definitely have lots of experience, would have to brush up with a few courses but that would be fun.
need to see if this training course job pans out.
presently work for NHS, would have to leave for a year which would impact pension.
if I left to go self employed i would then need to invest in private pension.
the good thing about the new job is at the end i could go back to nhs at higher banding and do private work on side so could overpay nhs pension to try to make up shortfall.
its a risk either way but i think happiness is important too!
I also need to give this job 5-6mths as it’s so different from anything I’ve done.
i thought a lot of people may go for the CBT training job but a lot of people probably wouldn’t take risk and not everyone likes studying, unlike me 😊a lot of the people this would attract due to qualifications are band 6’s and pay is more band 5 too which will also put some off, whereas it’s more than my present part time salary.
anyway i have not even got an interview yet 😜
money wise, i like being away as our Visa card will have a rest with us budgeting from our holiday fund.
    paid plummer
gonna pay car tax from next mths visa budget.
any extra wages will cover boiler service.

Got car insurance this month too but have a saving pot for that.
my hygienist is also this month but will shunt it to next month as it’s booked on a work day now and I don’t want to travel out do that then back again to work.
hoping there will be a small amount left for mortgage op and savings running still at £500/mth in natwest and first direct savers.
on house sale news, the buyers still have questions to answer at underwriters.
our buyers have agreed to put theirs back on market after a month and given their buyers a time frame.
hoping that gees things up a bit.
their house is in a sought after area so will sell again no problem..
