Mortgage free wannabe part 2

Just checked overpayment details on mortgage and we have just £400.61 left of our OP allowance left until May26.
i make that £50/mth which should be doable.
will see what the total is and just round down August 1st.
Remaining budget for month not as much as I had union subscription to pay+ husbands car tax and have paid for my daughters private scan, garden cement etc.
At long last my daughter has started to work and will start paying some board money.
However she gets paid next month as bank pay is a month behind.
So won’t be getting anything yet.
that £ will just really help with the costs of groceries but it definitely will help.
so saving focus will be topping up house/holiday fund as once we pay for garden furniture etc it will drop to approximately £1000

So I’ve been away for a week with
My daughter and my lovely hubby has been finishing the patio in my absence, pictures to follow tomorrow.
He’s a definite keeper 😊
We have done well with spending so we are well within budget and I can’t wait to get home as I’m missing hubby.
lots to do before I start my new job Thursday.
need to check broadband strength and screenshot that for them as some of my induction is at home, which is great as it will save petrol money.I’m sure the broadband is fine as always worked from home before with no issues.
it is one of the reasons I never change broadband provider as i never feel i can risk it!
had sky before and had so many problems.
would like to change as I’m sure I could get cheaper deal??
probably not time to change now but once I’ve finished training I have to work 6 months probation in office before I can homework.
Any suggestions greatly received 👍
mortgage
OP made and keeping within 10% allowance still.
Closed santander edge account as interest dropped. Transfer to chase then I plan on opening another saver once this one is closed completely.

Unfortunately things are gonna be a bit tight this month as I will only be paid for a couple weeks
will get more next month still so it will be okay in the end.
good news is, new job is just a 15 minute drive and I think my petrol is going to last 3 weeks rather than the usual 10 days, less miles on car= less wear and tear too so that’s a bonus.
next week I am home working for 3 days so that’s good too.MFW December 2026

Today we will be helping to tidy in laws garden, thinking sale no 3 is about to fail so we will probably be back on market in a couple weeks , buyer at bottom of chain has been refused mortgage, surely estate agents should check these things in the first place, as our poor buyers have done everything and paid for survey. Plus we will be charged yet again for solicitors 🙄
such a rubbish system!
