Had an awful week really as my husband workplace was actually in notice for administration so they are selling it, all offers need to be in today, meanwhile they have been putting work out to new place believing the work wouldn’t get done in house.
now they have been told that they shouldn’t legally have done that.
its a difficult situation to be in! Damned if you do, damned if you do.
furthermore some of the products needed to produce the work have been taken back by creditors so they can’t really do the jobs in house anyway.
its all a bit confusing and difficult to be in at the moment.
not sure who would buy a failing company but we should know by next Tuesday.
We just want to know one way or another!

So shopping was much more than usual as we are having bar b q this weekend.
hard to budget shop for that.
I have also factored in the fact my husband might not get paid so we will have to supplement from savings this month so basically there is no £ as I’m just taking what is needed out so there will be no extra this month if that’s the case.
My daughter starts work in a couple of weeks so she will contribute then which will be helpful as the shopping is definitely more with her being home.

So I have not posted for a bit as the forum kept bringing up this security message everytime i posted anything, drove me mad.
so I left it a bit and it seems to have sorted itself out.
    Anyway update time.
hubby started new job with small payrise, he’s adjusting, it’s hard with new system and people but his days are getting better each day. Hopefully that’s him sorted till retirement 👍😊
money wise he got 1 weeks pay, dipped into emergency fund this month.
the administration people helped all staff apply for redundancy from government and the cheque came within a week, super quick, the system wouldn’t accept his bank details for some reason so reverted to cheque.
    that’s gone in bank.
Once cleared it will go in savings pot.
house sale no 2 , buyers dropped out, they were a bit odd and had funny request to use garage for storage and pay us cash.
    sounded dodge.
    Anyway onto buyer no 3
sounds promising but we have been here before in the game so we shall see.
it will sell one day 🤣
daughter finally has date for cruise, she’s worrying now as she has a syndrome, however is fit and well so should pass medical. She just wants it so bad she’s stressing.
I'm very much don’t worry til you need to as life is too short and it could be fine.
Anyway all I know is if she does go I will save a fortune 🤣🤣🤣
anyway, due to lack of extra £ this month I only overpaid £0.59 this month but this just rounded mortgage balance down to whole numbers.
The interest had reduced significantly last month hence tiny OP.
Ive only got £900 left to overpay of my 10% allowance and 11 months to do this so it’s doable .
once cheque has cleared I’m planning on overpaying £450 to take total to 57,000
    leaving just £450 OP allowance.
Tempted to pay more but I like even numbers , so like to OP to round them down.
Am I the only person that does this 😆

So redundancy money has gone into bank and I have made a OP of £450 leaving £57,000 mortgage balance.
I have only got about £450 left that I’m allowed to OP so will do that over the next 11 months.
Saving the rest as my savings account pays more than mortgage interest rate and I had to repay £ we used as wages this month.
    on the home front
my daughter got the call she’s been waiting for, hopefully if she passes her medical, she off on a Disney cruise contract for 9 months, off to Toronto in October and the Caribbean in December.
lucky girl, hopefully we will meet her somewhere halfway through as I will miss her and it’s a good excuse 🤭
I will also be able to save money while she is away as my husband and I are more frugal with food shopping when she’s not home.

So met a friend in the city yesterday, walked into city to save on parking and had a chicken wrap for lunch at spoons.
cheap and good for the diet, cold chicken breast and chilli wrap with no Alcohol cider.
should have had 0% beer as less calories but we did walk in so 🧐
I made a lasagna before I went to city and there’s enough for tonight with salad.
or home made garlic bread.(not for me)
must make some rolls & tea cakes today.
Just did a bit of window shopping and a catch up so minimal spending 👍👍
worked out that I don’t need white top I purchased for a white party(holiday thing)
they run them fortnightly and I worked out we won’t be in Majorca when it’s on.
white is not my colour so it’s going back.
    Refund coming 😊

So went to beach last night instead of shopping as it was so warm.
fish and chips £20 for 3, my hubby and I shared fish and chips and gave some chips to my daughter with her fish so I think £20 was not too bad and it was plenty.
We had lovely swim in the sea which of course it free so we had a lovely evening out for £20
