i should do one of those use everything up weeks.
so far I’ve resisted temptation to go to shops as I have enough food in and I’m going to write a list of meals and what we have to save on shopping this week.MFW December 2026

Husband has got a new job, signed his contract today and whilst wages are higher, I don’t think he will take home as much, as his old work used to do salary sacrifice for pension.
anyway we are very lucky he could walk straight into a new job and he should get redundancy, just got to see if he gets paid ????
some of his work colleagues are not as lucky so we are grateful 🙏MFW December 2026

So it’s my day off, no daughter as she’s in London so today will be cheaper.
I have my scheduled massage which is about £25 and I need to buy sausage meat as making sausage rolls for our wellbeing day at work tomorrow.
plus i need eye drops as my hay fever is next level at the moment!
not sure im gonna get through the wellbeing day at work as it’s outside, might not be much of a wellbeing day for me 😢
news on house front.
Husband and his sister have sold their parents property although the prospective buyers wanted to pay us cash to store sand and cement in the garage before sales goes ahead.
we politely declined 😬
they supposedly don’t want a survey or search’s.
they are willing to take our word on that the last survey turned up one minor problem.(this is true but we don’t know what level survey they had)
makes me feel that they are builders and will gut the place.
but searches?
Anyway we would have had that done as last buyer we got to signing paperwork, they obviously didn’t.
Supposedly they are cash buyer and renting but we’ve heard that before, I’ll believe it once they sign I guess.
if it goes ahead it should be quicker.
but like I said I won’t hold my breath.
wont be a £0 day today but aiming for one tomorrow.MFW December 2026

So I’ve made another error on my budget, somehow leaving £100 off 🙄
triple checking it and next month to ensure that doesn’t happen again.
been to local butcher and had my monthly massage, knots de knotted 👍 not at the butchers 😜
so I have 406.19 left now with 2 days left.
aiming for £0 spend tomorrow
making veggie curry today with limp broccoli and old carrots.
was gonna make soup but had some sweet potatoes that I thought would be nice in curry, had some coconut milk so added half, I alway freeze the other half and it works really well, otherwise it just ends up in bin. I only use coconut milk now and again.MFW December 2026
