Chase Bank current account debit card number

I wonder if anyone could tell me where to find the long card number to pay for stuff? It's not on the card and in the app under card details it just gives the sort code and account number. I also can't find it on my monthly statements. Thanks for any help.

On the main screen I can see "See Card" (dark blue tab) then "See Details". That's not the real card number, though. Its just a pseudo number.
You should be able to download an app to read your card which will tell you the real numberI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -
What's the benefit of nothing the real number?surreysaver said:That's not the real card number, though. Its just a pseudo number.

I seem to recall reading a thread where someone was having difficulty with their Oyster card account, needing to know the real number to prove they had paid for a fare or something. Can't recall the details now.

Think the issue was that some vendors of items that needed the card to be produced when collecting pre-paid items (rail and theatre/event tickets I seem to recall were particularly fraught because of time pressures) had the physical card number stored rather than the virtual card number that shows in the app hence a mismatch.Slinky said:35har1old said:

The Oyster system was relevant because one of the summary reports that could (can) be produced for journey details shows the physical card number if the Chase card had been registered.
I think the problem has been resolved (at least it had the last time I used a NatRail ticket machine to collect tickets).0 -
I have had a couple of issues recently with the debit card number when trying to get a refund from a retail store.
The number printed on the receipt is different to that visible on my card. Each time, the shop assistant has refused to believe that it's the same card. As I know that it's the only card I use, I've had to persist and show her the transaction within the Chase app to get the refund processed.
But just wondering, is this normal and is it a security feature?0 -
Is there any reason why a refund "must" be processed as a return to the original card used? Why not another card? Or cash?granta said:

I don't know the reasons why, but all retailers I've ever shopped with always insist the refund goes back to the original payment method.flaneurs_lobster said:
