Well today is turning out to be a good day! A guy has only gone and bought the old seats out of the van! 😱 For the grand price of (paying me) 99p, he not only took them away, but he genuinely seemed pleased with his purchase despite the rust and mold! 🤣 Honestly I had meant to take the listing down because I deemed them way too far gone to be any use to anyone but it seems the idea that one persons trash is another persons treasure is absolutely spot on.

I am sure the neighbours will be pleased too as they were a right eyesore sitting in the front garden. 😬

Every little helps. Now you don't have to pay to dispose of them as well.

Keep listing things when you can.

Yesterday was payday. I was expecting it to get a normal month’s pay plus all my accrued annual leave and it would have been enough to buy my most essential equipment to start setting up my side hustle. Sadly, I did not get the accrued annual leave so that will have to wait until next month. ☹️ I’ve checked with HR and it turns out someone hasn’t ticked a box somewhere to trigger the process so I should still get the cash, just not yet. I swear, my leaving had been a complete admin disaster. That’s what happens when so many staff all leave at once. The people trying to run the place are all new so they don’t know what they are doing yet, and those trying to do the work on the ground are run off their feet.

Fingers crossed my next place of work is in slightly better shape. 🤞

Another interview down - in-person this time. This one was only for a 12 month contract but I had good vibes about this one and I hope I get it. Apparently I should here back about that one by the end of the week too and then there would be another interview/meet the team session. That’s a new one on me. Surely it is either an interview or it’s a meet the team session? Either way, at least the two jobs seem to be running along the timescale so if I do get an offer for the first one I don’t have long to wait to see if I can also get an offer for the second. Both have merits but I would definitely choose today’s 12 month contract over the earlier one if I had the chance.

In the meantime I am just trying to not melt! 🥵 Hope you are all managing to stay cool!

We hired someone recently and had them meet some of the team. It really was just that, as we wanted to make sure they would be happy to work together.

    Thanks everyone.

I really hope it is just a meet the team session, although tbh I think I will feel pretty darn awful if that is all it turns out to be then I don’t get it because that would be like saying we just don’t like you! 🥴 Not much I can do about that I guess.
