Teetering on the brink

Today I succeeded in deep cleaning the living room. 🎉 It is so nice to go to bed feeling like I have properly got on top of another room. I feel like I am finally getting my house in order again and that helps me feel more in control of my life which is a great feeling and a huge motivator to keep going on my list. 😁
Of course the first thing the dogs did was go and fetch half their toys from the toy box and sprinkle them liberally around the floor, but I did at least reinstate the last game of the night for them which is to fetch each toy and put it back away. I say ‘them’ very loosely really because Big Dog always does all the tidying and Little Dog just stares at him with a slight look of puzzlement on her face for the entire time. Maybe at some point she will get the idea and join in, but probably not.

Oh and dd1 is recovering well, thanks for asking. She is still in quite a bit of pain on the inside from the op, but I think that is to be expected for a few more weeks. Letting her take over the care of the piggle seems to have been a really good idea. Obviously she is still very much missing Big Cat, but she said having something else to care for is helping her to feel a bit less lost when it comes to when she would usually be feeding Big Cat. Long may their new found frendship continue! 😊

It's good to hear your DD is on the mend, though as you say, it may take a while longer. She has obviously inherited your love for animals! I think having one to care for is a great source of wellbeing.
And well done on the deep cleaning!

Sorry I didn't come on to earlier say how sorry I was to hear about Big Cat. You did the right thing for the Cat even if it hurts now. Sending you and your daughters hugs from America.

Happy Mother’s day to all you mothers out there. x
My daughters even put balloons up for Mother’s day this year - I think that might be a first. I got a card, flowers, some smellies and a feast of yummies that should see me through to Easter if I ration them properly (I give them a week 😉)! Usually we would go out for dinner for Mother’s day but none of us can really afford it this year so dd2 is going to cook me dinner instead.
In other news, I finally made it down my list to start listing again on Vinted and eBay. I really didn’t feel in the mood due to lack of sleep but the lack of cash in my bank account is now really beginning to stress me out so I started anyway. I have to say, having a tripod and light really has made the process of taking photos much easier, but I am still in the position that I have so much stuff in my bedroom that it is a hassle trying to list things. I keep trying to remind myself that 1, I really need the money, and 2, the more I sell the more space I will have so it will get easier. With that in mind, once I had started flagging I looked around for three big bulky things in my space that I needed to sell and promised myself I would list those before I stopped. That turned out to be two guitars for spares/repair and a Small Dog Slalom which was gifted to me but of no use to me since I have labradors not chihuahuas! Sadly I couldn’t see anything particularly valuable that was jumping out at me so I think I just need to shift as much of the low value stuff as I can asap. I have at least already made one sale - for £1.40. 😞

EatingBeans every little sale counts and adds to the pot. I sold a dog lead today that I never use for £1.50. But the little sales add up win win

There will be someone for whom your items are perfect and as the space opens up, it will get easier.
