Little update just to say you aren’t missing much on the budgeting department. In fact I have had zero sales since my last update. 😞
Honestly, I’m not really sure what has happened since Mother’s day, it’s all been a bit of a blur. dd1 is back on her feet and back at work and college as of yesterday although still very upset over Big Cat. dd2 is also back at college but the toll of taking care of everyone has now hit and she needs a bit of time to look after herself now.
Me? Well, I feel like all I have done is gone back and forwards to the doctors a lot! 😬 I finally got the ok to start my new medication but it took the pharmacy a while to source it (I am not sure how I feel about the fact that even the pharmacist hadn’t heard of it! 😬), but still, I’ve now been on it for a few days and so far it’s looking very promising! 🎉 I still get pain every day but the shocks are more like being stung by a bee now rather than being stabbed in the face, so I’ll take that! And, best yet, I seem to be able to take it in the day and not be instantly put to sleep! My brain seems to be coming back on line and I’ve even been able to take the dogs out for an hour two days running (although tbh I think that was trying to run before I could walk as I’ve hurt all over from doing it).
The biggest news is the GP asked me to wear a 24hour blood pressure monitor last week and despite returning it late on Friday, they still got me back in on Monday to which they told me I should be on medication immediately. I fought back as I don’t want and side effects of a blood pressure medication being put down to my new medication for the Trigeminal Neuralgia and she agreed to give me a four weeks reprieve. So basically I have four weeks to drop my blood pressure to give me a chance to show I can do it without medication. I think she said it is currently 150/99 so it will be a challenge but hey, at least Now I am not falling asleep every five minutes I might just have a chance! 🤞End ofSep-25Oct-25Brother 7,800.00 7,650.00 Overdraft owed 0.00 0.00 MBNA CC 11,481.53 11,504.06 Barclaycard CC 9,662.17 9,558.10 Fluid CC 1,046.44 1,036.29 NatWest CC 11,705.36 11,693.03 Aqua 1,127.94 1,107.94

Good to hear from you.
Glad the new meds are looking promising.
Hopefully your blood pressure will drop soon.

Did you mention to GP just how very difficult the last few weeks have been, so a higher than usual BP is hardly surprising!
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3 -
When they take my blood pressure, I imagine myself walking through the town I would most like to return and visit. Has really helped lower my pressure reading. Right now, I am alternating between Belfast, Stratford upon Avon, and Hay-on-Wye. The visiting nurse is coming to see my roommate every day and taking her pressure and mine.

Smart thinking to not confuse the situation with 2 new sets of tablets. Vety glad to hear first set is doing great things. Everything crossed it continues

It's good to hear DD1 is now improved, and extra-good to hear the same can be said of you! Hopefully those will also help DD2 to relax a bit: she's been marvellous.

VERY VERY pleased to report that the new tablets have now started to properly work on the Trigeminal neuralgia AND they don’t make me feel like a zombie! 🎉 I’ve actually been able to get some sleep and I’ve started to get back on top of all the long abandoned house jobs like cleaning the oven, the washing machine draw and washing the carpets. Even the girls have noticed that the house is seeming much better and it is no surprise since I’ve been planning it in my diary as if it was a full time job! I know, I know, most adults clean their house and go to work full time without even thinking about it but considering a few months ago i struggled to even make it out of bed to go to the loo, I think this is awesome progress!
Speaking of work, I sat down today and calculated that my best approach for returning to work would be to go back 2 days a week from 1st April. Even putting aside the financial element, I think going back to work a but would be good for my recovery as it will help get me back into the swing of things.End ofSep-25Oct-25Brother 7,800.00 7,650.00 Overdraft owed 0.00 0.00 MBNA CC 11,481.53 11,504.06 Barclaycard CC 9,662.17 9,558.10 Fluid CC 1,046.44 1,036.29 NatWest CC 11,705.36 11,693.03 Aqua 1,127.94 1,107.94

That's very very good news.
I hope your return to work goes well. Two days will be enough at first. You can use the others to prep food in advance etc.

Excellent news! And what a lovely feeling to be getting through the jobs.
Two days at work to begin with is sensible, as it's a big adaptation to make and you could start off wondering how you ever managed it before. You will adapt, though - just pace yourself.

so very pleased to hear the new meds are helping more with the pain & you are getting some mental energy back too. (hope you dont just use all the new energy for the boring adulty stuff though, maybe keep a wee bit of new energy for you to get some joy, you've had a rough time for a while x)
