Well hello all! I've been so rubbish at posting - huge apologies.

I started a new part-time role in mid-March. It's Mon, Wed and Fri. After 3 weeks in the role, I headed off with my DSis on the final leg of our JoGLE charity hike, finishing in Lands End on 19 April (a day ahead of schedule no less!). It was an amazing final leg, with my DH supporting us and the weather was amazing, apart from one day when we had an amber weather warning so decided to stay in our accommodation. We've raised c£19k in memory of my nephew so far, which isn't too shabby, but I have to say the come down from the emotional high has been intense. We both felt so discombobulated and it's taken a few weeks to settle into the rhythm of 'life' again. My role is really busy which means the days fly past - such a contrast with my last role which saw me staring at a beige wall for 7 out of 7.5 hours of the day.....

Onto crafting things. I have been really busy so not a lot done. Did make small small knitted items for my Et$y shop and today I got the sewing machine out and made a couple of pocket tissue pack covers - saw a video on Faceache and thought I'd give it a go. The green/pink one is for me and the yellow one will be gifted to Mum as I'm seeing her tomorrow. DH laughing at the green and pink one - should have thought through my colour choices more! They don't take long to make and are only 2 x 18cm of fabric plus two small buttons. I am going to experiment with other little makes like this to build my confidence with my machine. I'd like to have a go at a pair of trousers at some point as find it hard to get the right length as I'm so short!

Welcome to @tinkerbelluk - I'm in awe of the tarot design but as @daisy_1571 says, you can complete one card at a time and it'll soon come together. Not sure I'd cope with black aida though!!

Welcome to @KnottedSkein - some lovely makes there x

Welcome also to @JessyM - some beautiful beadwork going on there. I've only every used beads once on an art deco piece - which reminds me I still need to find that and put it up - it's still in a box from our move in November!

@Teaparty_mum so very sorry to hear about your DMum - @Auti makes a great suggestion about making a memory piece. My friend was widowed and had a cushion cover made of her husbands favourite shirts which is lovely.

Great work on the dreamcatcher @foxandflowers - definitely worth a treat of a smaller project once this is done. What was the subscription you took out?

Hope everyone is doing okay? We have BH this weekend and Tuesday is my NWD so a 4 day weekend for me. Our new (larger) garden exploded over the last few weeks, so I'm trying to get out there each day and do a bit, to avoid it becoming onerous. I also need to visit the community allotment this weekend too as they've put out a call for volunteers to help weed the beds. Will see what goodies there are to havest too!

    Take care all
    Coxy xx

The tissue holders are lovely @Coxy11. It is impressive what you have managed to do in such a short time: new job, a charity run (wow!) plus knitting and sewing. Puts me to shame, although I have been quite busy in the garden too.

    Hello all!

Very hot here and exactly a year since DS1 got married. Not sure where that year went tbh!!

I have done some crafting and have made a pen holder with elastic strap for my journal and
5 crocheted butterflies to donate to the WI stall at the village fete.

Next up is a drawstring bag for my sewing machine foot pedal. I got some fat quarters, interfacing and thread from our local haberdashers and some more Kirstie Allsop fat quarters from Vinted. Just need some time. DDad currently over from Cyprus and staying with us, DD2 finished uni and returned from
house share today and work extremely busy.

Local haberdashers is up for sale. If I were 10 years younger I’d be seriously tempted….. just hope it sells as a going concern as it’s a lovely shop.

    Hope everyone is doing okay

Hello ladies, i apologise for my absence aswell, life has been very busy, all is well here on the boat, we've had some incredible weather lately. Not a lot of crafting done, mostly seagulls for the bollard toppers, oh a friend and i from craft group completed this granny square blanket (its double bed sized!!!), it was a chore and a half, but amazing once finished. I am stitching a tatty ted birth sampler for a friend, it'll pop with the babs :)

I will read back and see what i've missed, i will try to post more often, bye for now x

I’m in! Sorry for my absence, part life part difficulties logging in!
@Coxy11 loving your updates. You sound like you’re gaining confidence with your machine sewing. The tissue holders are really pretty colours.
@KnottedSkein lovely work. The colours on both scenes are eye catching but I’m drawn to the cool pastels of the beach huts at the moment.
@nmm the quilt is a work of art. How on earth are you going to share it?
Well I’ve done some frogging on Love Cats and need to start a retirement card for which my deadline is the 18th July so Love Cats may have to wait. Its been 18th months so no hurry  :D

I am sorry about your local haberdashery @Coxy11. I hope it will be taken on by some passionate person.
Love your blanket @nmn although I had to work very hard to see the beginning of a teddy bear on your second photo. Do give us updates.
Your cats are lovely @Charly27. I am thinking of doing something similar for my wedding anniversary next year (40!)

Best wishes to all and keep crafting.
