Cross Stitch and Craft Cafe 2025 - come in, sit down and join us!
I have finally found time to sit down and sew! It is such slow progress on the dreamcatcher bits, lots of colour changes and backstitching. FIVE more feathers to go, a little filling in and then it will finally be time to move the fabric over. I've been experimenting with parking my threads and having multiple needles on the go and it isn't half confusing!!
I can't wait to see the back of this one! I found a cross stitch kit bi-monthly subscription last night while browsing... Maybe once this one is gone I will treat myself.

Hello everyone. I am pleased to have found this forum. Thank you for having me. I learnt crochet and some embroidery when I was very young and that was a long time ago! I picked it up again during the pandemic and I am now happily passing the time making little counted cross stitch works. I have looked at some of yours: you are all very talented! I will post some of mine when I have learnt how to do it. Have all a nice evening.
A solid 12 hours of stitching later and it doesn't look like much has progressed, but I am determined to have finished this by the end of the month. I have a love hate relationship going on with it, it looks great, but it requires so much concentration and I have messed up the counting somewhere long ago so I am working on "fixing" that without frogging it.
I have a really easy ta-da to do, which is just filling in the white stitches and backstitching a lighthouse, but I'm saving that as a reward for when this is finally done. Is there a word for sewing that you've abandoned half way through? Like a currently reading shelf full of half read books, my sewing projects are a little out of hand.

@foxandflowers that sounds challenging. I have never used more than two threaded needles but I am sure for such a complex project it is the way to go. I like the sound of a new phrase for incomplete projects if it’s DNF for books … Welcome @tinkerbelluk - love the tarot project. Welcome also to @KnottedSkein looking forward to seeing your posts. It’s easy to upload pictures just click on the photo icon next to the emoji’s and attachments. What I can’t do yet is alter the size so that’s why mine are so huge! Have a lovely crafting weekend all.

@Charly27 if you click on the </> button it will say img alt="" src=" and you just need to insert height=XXX width=XXX in between the two. The click on the </> button again and it should be resized. You may need to play with the numbers you put after the height/width to make it the right size. For rectangular pics I usually go around height=300 width=225.
I hope that made sense!
Maybe we should call it a ASP - Abandoned Sewing Pile!

A "happy new home" card for my son and dil's first flat. Bought the kit in a charity shop and did some modifications. It has taken me half an hour to upload these (and reduce them), so it might be some time before I post another one 😂
welcome to the new members, i'm loving all the photos. I use a program called irfanview to resize my photos before uploading them. If you're on windows you can resize using the default photos app, just right click the picture then resize image or there is a resize button in the paint app too, hope this helps
