Made a start! Hope everyone is okay and not too turbulent a time with the storm. How are things on the boat @nmm?

Charly, congrats on being MF and the house sale finally completing It got a bit rocky on the boat we are on the west coast so got hit quite hard, no damage to us but many suffered torn sails and canopies, a window blew out on one boat and a 4 solar panels have vanished off another likely in the water now. Hopefully we get nothing like that for a while again.
WI sounds interesting, i will have a look to see if there is a local one.
Coxy, i hope your etsy sales are going well and so pleased you are out at craft groups, its my K&N tomorrow, can't wait.

I didn't have enough yarn for a second tea cosy Got almost to the end of the second half (shaping the top) and realised it wasn't going to stretch. No matter. I've pulled the yarn back and will keep for another project. I went to H0bbycraft last Tuesday but their plastic bee buttons were £1 each so I left it and ordered from a seller on Etsy. Not buttons but metal/enamelled charms which cost £6 for 10 including postage. I sewed some on last night and have today listed the tea cosy and some mini knitted santa and elf hats which you put Ferrero or Lindor inside for table favours. My shop stock is slowly growing
I bought a single duvet cover from a car boot sale 2 years ago. Lovely embroidery on a plain white cotton background. Have this afternoon repurposed it into two cushion covers for our bed. The original cushion covers were showing signs of wear. I don't do zips(!) so these have an envelope opening. Will post photos when I've pressed them and it's daylight!
I didn't go to KnK this week as we had a few errands to run yesterday and tbh I didn't have a project to take. DH and I went to the local community kitchen garden this morning and were shown around by the lady who runs it. It's fabulous, is £20 per year and you can pick whatever you like provided you go fairly regularly. I think we may have found our people!
Hope everyone is doing okay Coxy

Hi everyone, Finally getting around to posting some photos. First is a HSC design which I’m loving doing. I’ve changed up the colours as had some Belfast linen already:
These are the cushions I made using a £1 single duvet cover I got from a boot fair (please ignore dodgy dusky pink walls - these will be going at some point!):
And finally my beehive tea cosy and the mini elf and Santa hats:
Hope everyone is doing okay Coxy

I realised last week that I didn't have enough DMC white embroidery silk so when we went with the ILs to our local market town on Friday, I popped into the haberdashery shop. They didn't have any white - had lots of other colours though and won't be stocking any more, so might be a few bargains to be had down the line. As luck would have it, I took Mum food shopping yesterday and when I phoned to confirm a pick up time I asked if she had any going spare. She did, so I can now finish the HSC design. I need to do the bird house and the confetti stitches on the background. I do have a long thin frame that I found in a CS a few years ago, so might see if it fits, otherwise I'll get it professionally framed for Christmas. Thinking whether to gift it to SIL/BIL instead of keeping it. Will decide later.
We started on DD's bedroom today. Steamed off the chintzy border and loads of plaster came off too - ooops. DH reckons he can patch the small areas but might need BIL for the larger patch. Oh well!!
Hope everyone is doing okay. Coxy xxx

Lovely finishes @Auti and @Coxy1. Love the colour of the cosies, it’s like honey! We’ve had a lovely few days away staying with friends in their house in the Lake District but also a couple of nights in a lovely hotel in Bolton Abbey. A real treat.
The stitching of Enjoy the Little Things is coming on. Trying to do the backstitch as I go. Didn’t realise quite how much there was 🥴 the toadstool was causing me consternation last night so started on the Enjoy as it was easy to count.
You’re getting right on with the decorating Coxy. Well done!
