Lovely finishes @nmm and @foxandflowers x I too wash my finishes using a little Woo!ite or similar.

You deffo win the prize for the longest WIP @foxandflowers 🤣 Lovely piece though and sure your friend will cherish it. Good plan to shop from stash rather than buy something else!

I have cut out some fabric for the first WI stitching group which is this coming Saturday. Might have a go at stitching some pieces together tomorrow to get in the groove. I will need to ‘stitch in the ditch’ so YT will
    be deployed for that!!

SIL being discharged from hospital to a MH inpatient facility tomorrow. Sad but for the best I feel.

Hope anyone with snow is staying warm and safe. How is it on the boat @nmm

foxesandflowers, love the bee finish, so colourful a great first ta-da of the year

I only wash larger pieces as they get grubby over time. i'm sure DMC and Anchor cottons can be washed up to 90 degrees and are colour fast, wouldn't trust unbranded though.

Coxy, no snow here but as its a small space to heat up we are nice and toasty :)

Well done on the TaDa’s @foxandflowers and @nmn. Nice to see some colour everything here is either brown or green in the outside world. No white for us thank goodness.
Glad to hear that SiL has a space in a MH facility where she can hopefully get the support she needs @Coxy11, feel for her and your brother.
I’m waiting for some threads to start my new projects so I’ve just carried on with ‘A year in the life’ whilst I’m waiting.
Yesterday we finally exchanged with completion on 17th. Yippee  :)

Update on ‘A year in the life of’ with May complete. I added DH’s initial as it’s his BD and plan to add mine to August.

Is there anything more exciting than getting ready to begin a new project?

Both pieces of Aida cut to size but … I have decided to stitch June first to complete the first half of ‘A year in the Life of’. I think it makes sense to me.

Woohoo @Charly27 great to hear your house news! You are really going for it with the projects - great start. Love them all ❤️

I went to a new local WI on Thursday morning.  Was okay…think it’s going to take a while to find my people! I popped into the market town afterwards for some wool. I want to knit a teacosy to sell in my Etsy shop. Managed to get just the right colour and have made half already (two halves sewn together for the finished article).

I also stitched together the strips of fabric for the WI craft sub-group project. Have realised I need to cut more accurately as several pieces a bit wonky(!) but first time doing any patchwork/quilting so not to worry. I have to do the binding around the edges still. It’s only for us and is a heat mat for hot pots. Photo to follow.

SIL is still stuck in hospital awaiting a bed in the MH facility. Just awful ☹️
