Afternoon all, I seem to be getting later and later just lately with posting. It just seems that things need to be done so I like to get them out of the way in the morning if at all possible. It was shopping again this morning and was pleased to get a few YS bits from Tesco including an avocado and some asparagus. They'll both get into the menu plan in the next day or so. Also got some broccoli but hoping that will be ok for Sunday as it looks good at the moment so not sure why it was in the YS section!
I like that posh place that sells the Kentish goods @Coxy11 but they are a bit on the pricey side! I went to a meet there with some old stylers a few years ago - it was good to put faces to some of the names! Hope you get some nice stuff to gift at your meet up on Saturday.
Done a machine load of washing this morning and got it all dry. Now need to sort it all out and put it away but shouldn't take long as I've already paired up all the socks which is always the time consuming bit!
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs; toast - HEB; P
L - minced beef hash; stollen bite to follow - P; S; F; 1
D - sweet and sour pork fillet, rice - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - stollen bite 1
Have a good day everyone.0 -
While I've still got access to the app I checked the Lidl stollen @joedenise and the bites are 5.5 each including the chocolate cream ones. The stollen loaf is 10.5 for 50g. Personally, I just like the marzipan, I'm not fussed about the cake.
I'm still not 100% sure @Coxy11 but I think I will try going it alone with SW. I took forever to get back to target after my summer holiday this year and felt I'd have got there anyway without the group and without paying!
Just work on getting to the top of range @maddiemay and then aim for lower. So break it up into smaller steps. That's what I've done for years and it doesn't seem such a big leap put that way. 😁
How irritating that the parents can't be more flexible @Jellybaby. I usually do my food shop on a Friday too but it's not the end of the world if I have to change it. 🤣
I've had a fry up for breakfast and a tuna JP for lunch. We're out for dinner tonight. It's a good restaurant with choices so I'll probably have prawn cocktail followed by the fish. I just hope they have something other than chips to go with the main.
As I'm eating out so much at the moment I'm going to make sure all my other meals at home are as low syn as possible. Like @milann said, the other day, I want to grab the opportunity to enjoy myself. There will be plenty of time to focus on SW when Christmas is over. 😉

Bloody hell! How can the stollen bites be 5.5 each they're tiny! Definitely not have more than 1 a day then, LOL!
I'm sure you'll be fine going it alone @maman as you always seem to get straight back on plan whenever you've been eating out a lot (like at the moment) and always choose wisely when you do (as you've already decided on prawn cocktail and a fish main).
It's the AI holidays which always seem to scupper me - it's been quite a time since I was actually in target range but at least I only seem to go a few lbs over each time but it definitely seems to take longer to lose it than it does to go on!

Morning all, it'a another cold one but at least it's forecast to be dry although we had rain overnight. Hope it stays dry as decided to change the bedding and would like to get it out on the line to get at least the worst of it out so it will take less to dry indoors.
Other than that not much happening today although I may try and get the skirt hemmed this afternoon as I've got the webbing stuff to do it now.
I weighed this morning and have lost a lb of the 2 that I gained last week. Just wish it came off as quick as it goes on!
Today's plan:
B - boiled eggs, asparagus - P; S
L - burger, onions, pickles, soft pitta - HEB; S; 0.5
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, corn on the cob, beans - P; F
HEA - milk
HEB - soft pitta
Syns - burger 0.5; couple of G&Ts - 6
Have a good day and keep warm every warm.

Morning all, it’s literally freezing here! Went to bed last night coughing and sneezing and woke up this morning with a heavy cold (one way of getting out the food shop I suppose 😉). It’s a day on the couch with my book and the heated throw.
I’ve just had copious cups of tea and honey with lemon, not feeling hungry at all. Have taken tomato soup out the freezer and will see how I feel later.
Stay warm everyone.0 -
Not a nice way of getting out of the shopping @Jellybaby. Keep up with hot drinks and take some paracetamol if you've got a temperature. Hopefully you'll be able to manage some soup later.

That's really bad luck developing a cold overnight @Jellybaby.🤧 Look after yourself.🤗
It's really bright and crisp here @joedenise but cold. The highest temperature forecast is 6 degrees. Hope you're lucky with the washing.
Last night wasn't quite as predicted but quite SW friendly all the same. There was a new starter on the menu so, instead of prawn cocktail, I had a crab, crayfish and rocket little salad but it was mixed with pesto rather than mayonnaise. Sea bream came with new potatoes and roast Mediterranean veg.👍🏼All syns would have been in the wine.😁
Today will be similar but I haven't seen anything on tonight's menu that looks really SW friendly, hopefully there will be some specials.🤔 We're going out to celebrate DD2's birthday which is next week.
I need to do my meal plan and shop this afternoon as fridge looking a bit bare. Having eggs again for lunch as have plenty of them at least. So far I've had a fry up for breakfast and I'm planning an omelette and pickles for lunch.0 -
Get well soon @Jellybaby xx
That meal sounds lovely @maman x Enjoy your meal tonight too.
Gosh that is a lot for the stollen bites. I'm not too fussed about them (luckily) but do enjoy a florentine.......
Not much in the way of Kentish goodies yesterday at the posh shop because they have copious amounts of Christmas goodies now. A bit disappointing tbh.
Today I've been a busy bee. Have washed the bedroom curtains. They are awful but we plan to replace them in the Spring. Not sure why it's taken me a year to get them down and in the wash - think the house move and discombobulation over employment really threw me. Anyway they are now back up and closed to allow them to dry (only polyester - shudder). Have also cleaned en-suite and cloakroom, swept porch, refilled the bird feeders, vacuumed and steam mopped the floor in the kitchen and painted some shelving/kitchen stool for a second time.
Food today:
B - satsuma, pain au choc - S, 8
L - LO chicken biryani,teddy faces - free, 3.5
D - chilli and soy salmon, rice, tenderstem brocolli - P, free, S
HEA - milk
HEB - skinny bar
Syns - 11.5

Morning all, another cold one today and rain forecast for later this afternoon. Am taking a chance and doing a machine load of washing and will hang out until about 2pm or so assuming the rain doesn't arrive before then! No point leaving it out after that time as it definitely starts getting damp.
Hope you're feeling a bit better today @Jellybaby and managed to at least eat something yesterday.
Hope you managed to find something SW friendly where you went to eat last night @maman. It can be so hard sometimes. We're hoping to get out sometime next week and go to the nice fish restaurant in Folkestone or maybe Ramsgate where they do a cheap steak, jacket and salad on a lunchtime deal!
Not going out at all today as have a few parcels arriving and no doubt they'll all come at different times spread over the day!
Today's plan:
B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - HEA2; HEB; S
D - Spanish rice - S; F; 5
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - chorizo 5
Have a good day everyone.
