Morning everyone, it looks a beautiful day here but absolutely baltic!  A little snow that turned to sleet last night but thankfully the heavy stuff is staying away.

Once I’ve been to salsa this morning I’m planning an afternoon with my book. The heated throw is out again.

I’ve decided to use the random bits and pieces in the freezer and cupboards to clear space for Christmas stuff and veg wars. So I’ve had weetabix minis HEB and yoghurt for breakfast, using the last of the eggs I’ll have a veggie omelette with pickles for lunch and dinner is going to be a tomato sauce and pesto pasta bake concoction that I’ll cover in cheese HEA.

    Stay warm everyone!

It's just tipping it down here @Jellybaby and about 5 degrees. I'll probably join you this afternoon with my book.😊

Hope you're lucky with a laptop bargain @Coxy11.🤞🏼 Enjoy your rum and coke tonight, it's good to have something to look forward to and spirits with a low calorie mixer are quite low syn.👍🏼

Thanks for telling us about Harvester @joedenise. I haven't been there in years but we do have a couple of local branches. My original SW group used to go there for a Christmas meal as there were plenty of SW friendly choices.

Well, WI this morning didn't happen. I tipped up at the venue to find an empty car park. It didn't occur to me to check it was on beforehand . I looked at my phone and it would seem that my consultant no longer does the Wednesday morning. I don't know whether that's for personal reasons or because she couldn't raise enough numbers. It was no big deal today as my 8 weeks isn't up until next Wednesday but I decided to come back home rather than go to another of the  groups in the area meeting this morning.

So I've got the rest of the week to rethink my decision. If I was confident that I was still in target (which I'm not) then I could go anywhere for a quick weigh and go as I've often done before. I think it's more likely that I'm a couple of pounds over and it will take weeks, because of Christmas, to get back in. I don't really want to pay £5+ every week just do weigh and go or stay for a group I don't like. I can't do my consultant's evening groups as they clash with my dance classes. I'm veering back towards going it alone.🤔

Thanks for putting up with me thinking aloud. 🤗

Today will be all on plan and I'm going dancing tonight so keeping up with the Body Magic too. Thursday, Friday and Saturday I'm out for various meals so other than choosing wisely where possible there's not much I can do other than be 'good when I can'.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA milk
L- Spanish omelette (P,S,F), salad and pickles (S)
D- sausage casserole with penne (P,S,F)
    Syns- BGTY sausages 2

I’d missed the post about Harvester Joedenise. I used to go occasionally but the one I went to was taken over. Do they still do the unlimited salad bar or is that now a thing of the past. Sounds like a lovely meal and convenient near to the hospital.
I'm happy enough with a maintain….not getting me where I want to be but not taking me away either 👍
Breakfast - mushroom and tomato omelette
Dinner - left over lamb, cous cous, peppers, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms with herbs and garlic
dinner will be late as I’m going to the cinema at 4.30. I’ll probably have beans and toast or another syn free snack which includes my heb  when I get back later.
snacks - a few flapjack bits, fruit and a latte in the cinema.
    January spends - £587.58

@Jellybaby the bits and bobs meals always taste the best, but of course I can rarely replicate them :(
@maman a pain about not finding a meeting where you expected one.
@milann I always treat a maintain as a positive no such joy in my WI's at home the last 2/3 weeks.
@joedenise hoping the injection works well.

I went to group yesterday evening, not my preferred time as it is so noisy and rowdy, my shiny new hearing aids are making my life so much better 1:1 or in small groups, but not there.  Wednesday morning group is better for me, but meant that I was out of the house 7 mornings running.

I stepped on the scales and no shock, but oh dear I will need to lose 4.5lbs to in the middle of range. More FF yogurt and my fave cottage cheese bought this morning and need to begin weighing and noting food portions again. Frustratingly neither of the 2 SM have signal to be able to check foods, also many thigns taken off shelves and replaced with unhealthy C things.

So bitterly cold today, time to get my Nanook of the North coat out and I think buy some insulated insoles for smarter black boots.

The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)

Evening all, thought I'd posted this morning but obviously not!  DH had cooked a sourdough loaf for our DGD so he sliced it and bagged it up to take over to DD1 to put in her freezer for when DGD is next visiting (probably not until just before Christmas and we'll be on holiday!)

Apart from that while we were near Sittingbourne we did a bit more shopping in Lidl - DH picked up the wrong stollen bites!  They're doing ones with chocolate cream instead of marzipan but they're horrible - still at least it stops we wasting 1 syn on each one!  Not only did he pick up a pack of marzipan filled stollen bits but a  whole stollen - I'm going to have to work out the syns for some of that if I have any!

We also needed to pop into the Santander branch and were in there ages as we ended up moving our current account and setting up new savings account paying 6% on up to £4,000 which we thought was worth doing.

We didn't get any rain until late morning but it certainly came down hard.  It's definitely getting much colder and we're forecast 0 overnight and a frost in the morning.  Wanted to go to Tesco tomorrow but will probably leave it until later in the morning once the frost has cleared.

    Today's plan:

    B - kedgeree - P; S; F
    L - chicken fajitas - HEB; P; S; F; 1.5
    D - vegetable stew with cheesy dumpling - HEA2; P; S; F (PON recipe)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - Primula/parmasan
    HEB - WM wrap
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 1.5; couple stollen bites 2

Have a good evening and keep warm.

    Morning all,

Thats annoying about group @maman. What are your thoughts now you’ve slept on it? I am no shining example of going it alone I’m afraid 🤣

That’s a good rate for a savings account @joedenise I will check that out.

I didn’t have any rum last night in the end as got engrossed in a drama I’m watching. I just stuck to a cup of tea.

I have some errands to run this morning including a trip to a local posh food merchant for some
Kentish goodies. I’m meeting an MSE’r from up
north on Saturday so plan to gift some local
    bits to her.

    Food today:
B: satsuma, toasted protein bagel thin, poached egg - S, HEB, P
    L: JP, tuna, mayo, mixed salad, pickles, apple - 1, P, 2, S
D: pork and apple burgers*, coleslaw, salad - 4
    HEA: milk
    Syns: 7

*didn’t have these on Tuesday as forgot to get the pork mince out of the freezer 🙄

    Afternoon all,

I’m sure you could go it alone very well @maman you know the plan inside out and have your GP scales to keep check.

I have several Santander accounts and was thinking of moving as the current rates aren’t great but I’ll take another look at what they’re offering @joedenise thanks for the info.

Enjoy your meet up on Saturday @Coxy11

Still no snow 🎉🎉 but it’s bitterly cold. Heating was on most of the evening and I heard it click on during the night so it must’ve been really cold.  I have a hair appointment later this afternoon and was keen to do the food shop after it to save a trip out tomorrow but parents want to keep the usual routine 🙄

Anyway, food is on plan - I had a soft pitta with bacon medallions, mushrooms and tomatoes earlier and I have left over pasta bake for dinner (yesterday’s concoction turned out well and was delicious!).
