Funnily enough, making toasties from wraps was one of the things discussed at my group last night @bubbs

I know @joedenise buys sausages from the butchers but for anyone who uses Sainsburys BGTY Cumberland (1 syn each), I noticed that they've changed the packaging. All their sausages are now called Butchers Choice in a sort of greaseproof paper pack. The BGTY are labelled Cumberland but there's a very small blue label at the top of the pack saying low fat or reduced fat or similar. It would be so easy to confuse them with the full fat Cumberland sausages. Strangely, the shelf label still says BGTY. 🤔

I went every week until I got to target @milann but now I only go every 8 weeks to keep access to the website. Unless of course I'm out of target range (like now 😡) when I'll keep going until I'm back in range. IMO, it really is worth persevering until you get to target. It's such a good feeling to be the weight you want to be. It's been hard for you adjusting to a new routine. Perhaps when the winter comes and you aren't going away/out so often it will be easier. 🤔

Morning all, another fairly bright morning but think it's forecast to cloud over later.

Hope your DH's scan went OK @maddiemay and you don't have to wait too long for the result.

Realised that you asked about DH's shoulder @bubbs and I didn't answer.  Everything is looking good and there was only one stitch which needed trimming up so that it didn't catch - they were dissolvable stitches.  One had already dissolved; the knot was the only bit left on one and that came away with the plaster.  Checked it this morning after his shower and that one's gone too.  He's got a video physio appointment at lunchtime today so no doubt he'll be given some extra exercises to do.  He's been doing the basic ones which were on the information sheet when he left hospital.

Need to go shopping again this morning so having an earlier than usual breakfast (it's currently cooking!).  So today's plan:

    B - breakfast hash - P; S; F
L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions, beetroot - HEA2; HEB; S (I bought some tinned beetroot when we were in France so thought I'd have some today and then they'll be some to have with salad another time)
D - paella - P; S; F (using a couple of chicken thighs, some prawns and some scallops)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

Good morning sat in bed and read my book a bit too long last night, tired this morning, but had a few wins already - managed to make my beastly printer and p.c. see each other for the first time in ages and found a pair of sandals and of trainers that are sufficiently cushioned under the heel area to be worn around the homestead, still needs to be walking boots for pavement pounding, also received and studied an article about lack of balance, falls, proprioception.
OH got through the scan O.K., hoping never to need another one!!, up to 5 weeks for the results, now need to plod on and try not to overstress.

Knit and Natter today, not touched any for weeks, it is not as relaxing as reading, but I have a project eady to start, also have only managed the occasional meeting

My scales showed another little loss yesterday hoping that I can be midway in range now.
Food to be decided yet from a few possible, lots of juggling as some days OH does not have much appetite or finds some meals too heavy.
    Have a good day all.

As I expected I’ve gained this morning. 2 1/2lb which has taken me to the heaviest I’ve ever been. To be honest I think it’s the kick up the backside I’ve needed.
The focus this morning has been SP which I’ve never managed to do. She said something that struck a chord with me. She asked us to put a pendulum in our head - one side being SP the other being extra easy……if you start off at the SP end and don’t manage it and have a bit of pasta or couple of potatoes- all is not lost. It means the pendulum has swung over to Extra Easy. Made perfect sense to me.  I’m at least going to try a day or so. My diary has come out again….line drawn, book out and enthusiasm boosted.
Maddiemay enjoy the knit and natter. I missed mine on Tuesday as we went out for our anniversary.
Breakfast - syn free nibbles at taster session in group.
Dinner - salad, hard boiled egg and ham
Tea - chicken based home made pizza (hea cheese) red pepper and chickpea hummus with cucumber and carrot sticks
Snack….water melon, banana, heb wrap with some sort of syn free filling to be decided
    January spends - £587.58

@milann - don't think you can have banana on an SP day as it's only Free and not Speed.  Would be better if you have some berries or an apple or orange.

I assume you mean a butterflied chicken breast as the base of a pizza?

I've never managed SP days as I find I'm hungry without the carbs!  I've tried things like swapping rice for cauliflower rice and vegetable "noodles" but it just do it for me so good luck with it.

If you look at @bubbs meals she does mainly SP days.

Thanks JD - You’re  right there’s no banana on Sp and that’s one of the reasons why I’ve struggled in the past. Doesn’t seem right that you can’t have a banana but can have a bar of chocolate worth 10 syns 🥴….I've just had a rethink and will stick with Extra easy….and throw some SP meals into the mix. I’m not prepared to give up my banana 👍
Yes I batten my chicken breast flat - spread with Tom purée and usually a bit of chopped lean ham and mushroom - top with 30g cheddar, garlic and oregano. It’s delicious 👍

Your post has given me a motivational kick up the backside @milann.  I think I need to shake up my meals and your chicken based pizza sounds good. When I like something I tend to eat it to death (spaghetti meatballs not included, I’ve always loved that 😁).

I’ve been out for a walk and coffee with a friend. She also bought me a bacon roll so counting that as HEXB as it was wholemeal and no butter. Going to have some fruit and yoghurt as I’m not hungry enough for a proper lunch and it’s chilli salmon, new potatoes, roasted veg for dinner.

Wow this a really inspiring thread just reading back a few entries, I have just joined online SW and I would love a group to join online to be able to reflect and have some banter with, can I join please? I literally started just a little while ago, I am not really counting today as I have not started in a positive way unfortunetely.

However without going shopping and sticking with what I have already got in this is my plan for tomorrow:-

FYI I am allowed 25 syns

    B - 45g Bran flakes HeB & HeA Milk

L - Beans on Jp with worcestshire sauce

D - Dirty fries (Pepper, onion and potato, oven cooked until ready then sprink 1XHeA plus a further 30g Cheddar cheese - 6 syns.

Dessert - 100g custard like dessert 6 syns (I don't know strictly the syns it is a guesstimate, it is called milk tart from South Africa, I plan on eating it as it is delicious and my roomie made it especially! It is like custard so I have synned for that.)

Plus I want to use up my chilli cheese 1 slice is 5 syns

    Total: 17+/-5 syns

I look forward to seeing how this works out this time. Have a good evening all and i'll drop by tomorrow and tell you how I am doing.

Welcome @CrazyBee787 to our lovely thread, everyone is welcome who is doing Slimming World whether online, going to group or going it alone.

You are right to be using up what you have and it looks as though you're within your syns with what you're having today but going forwards it's best to not buy too many treats and if you do buy them make sure they fit within the plan.  I doubt very much that you used a full HEA of milk on your Bran Flakes this morning so I'd syn that and count the 2nd lot of cheese as your 2nd HEA as it will be less syns.

I went to group for about 12 years but stopped going about 18 months ago and am going it alone.  I've been out of target by just a lb or 2 in that time.  It's not easy staying in target range when you like to get away on holiday, particularly All Inclusive ones!  We also have a motorhome and travel frequently in this country.  We were away for a month recently and I did pretty well to only put on 2.5lb which I'm still trying to shift!

Good luck with sticking to plan and losing the weight you want to.
