I love the idea of a @bubbs YT channel! She could cook SW friendly meals, using the ingredients that she'd picked up for next to nothing!👍🏼🤣

DH is really tired today too after painting the sitting room yesterday @Jellybaby. Fortunately, there's no urgency to get it done. He's busy today so I told him he can take the day off! Hope you get some decent trades to do the hard work for you.

Hope you removed the dressing without inflicting too much pain @joedenise. At least you didn't have to trek back to the hospital or surgery to have it done.

We've been out with our walking group this morning. It isn't as brisk recently but fast enough considering the heat we've been having.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- crustless quiche (P,S), salad (S)
D- gammon (P), SW chips (F), stir fry veg (S)
    Syns- LTL mayo 1

Morning all, another early one although not quite as early as yesterday!

I weighed this morning and pleased to say the holiday weight has gone plus an extra 0.2lb!  Pleased with that.  Just hoping I can continue losing as I'm still a couple of lbs over top end of target.

DH's dressing came off really easily and he only winced once and that was actually getting the damn thing started but once started it didn't take long.  There were also 3 plasters over each of the incisions which also needed to come off and be changed.  The wounds look nice and clean, one stitch in each one which are dissolvable.  Have made an appointment at the GP surgery for the nurse to do a wound check in a couple of week's time.  He's not having much pain and only had one painkiller yesterday so looks like things are going well thankfully.

DH has got a date for his follow up appointment and as it's when we would normally be in France (our month in September) we won't be doing that so we've booked 2 weeks at the beginning of September and are going AI to Bulgaria, somewhere we haven't been before.

    Today's plan:

    B - porridge, fruit - HEB; S; F
    L - Spanish omelette - P; S; F
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, beans, corn on the cob - P; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
    Syns - may have a couple of G&Ts 6

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

Sorry for being absent. It was DS2’s graduation on Tuesday in Canterbury Cathedral. Lovely day and we managed to dodge the showers to get some good photos. Dinner was in our local village pub with DD, DS1 and DIL.

Despite having nothing since last Sept, TOTM started yesterday and I’d booked to donate blood, so timing couldn’t have been worse. However, it all went well and I heeded the advice to ‘eat lots’ !! Meno clock starts again 😭

I’m in the office today and have a Greggs sweet potato bhaji salad pot which is 4 syns I think??

Glad DH’s op went well @joedenise and well done on the loss xx
Good to see you’re still getting some
bargains @bubbs and glad DH’s eye isn’t an issue x
Glad the tooth extraction wasn’t too bad @maman - you’ll have those couple of lbs off in no time.

    Have a good day everyone

Rats!!! I must have just hit the wrong key and lost my post and ended up in January's page.
Very tired and anxious OH took a call from GP reception making an appointment for a chat with his doctor at lunchtime on Monday coming - just that nothing else said. Meanwhile he has lost a bit more weight and not eating very big portions, I am literally counting the days and hours. He is worried but holding together fairly well (as far as he lets me see.

SW news my appetite low too so I shed a pound at WI on Wednesday morning.

Forecast to be hot here today, the sun is nice, but the humidity means cannot do much outside.

    Evening all 😁

Well done Denise and Maddie on your losses 👏👏

Denise glad dh's wound is ok and he's not in too much pain.

Maddie i know exactly how you feel, we are waiting for Thursday if it does not get cancelled because of strikes but he has already had a text for Tuesday ( not consultant, think it's McMillian , we know what the appointment is for but not saying as bit personal to DH although to do with op)  He said this afternoon i wish i didn't keep waking up early, i said are you worried? he said worried about what? I said Thursday, he said i am not worried at all i can't change it so need to get on with it, which in fairness he has said from diagnosis,   I AM bloody worried!!

Coxy glad you had a lovely day 🥰
Coxy this? Greggs Bakery Sandwiches & Salads Sweet Potato Bhaji & Rice (230g pack)

That melon looks like the ones they sell in Tesco as Snowball melons.  If it's the same then they are very, very sweet!

Morning all, up early again but it's definitely getting a bit later each day - 6.15 this morning!  I'll be glad when it gets back to normal of about 7am!!!

Not sure if I've said before but I'm growing butternut squash and it's like a bloody triffid, it's covering half the raised bed and growing so long I've got it draped over the BBQ!  The good news is that it's got about 6 or 7 good sized squashes on it, one of which is bigger than most of the ones you see in the SM - just need to wait for it to ripen and then it can be stored in a dark cupboard ready to use in the winter.  I've currently got one in there which I'm planning on making a curry with at some stage when I get round to it and I've got enough space in the freezer to put some of it!

It's looking to be another nice warm day, yesterday we got up to about 26 which I find a really nice temperature.  Think I might get a machine load of washing done today or tomorrow before the forecast rain early next week!

    So today's plan:

    B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
    L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - HEA2; HEB; S
    D - Spag bol - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but may have a mini mix lolly 6

    Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, raining lightly here, not enough to wet soil even as yet.
Usual bowl of fruit and yogurt enjoyed, rest of day meals still to be planned, firstly dog walk (pleasure for us too), a coffee at the farm shop then a scoot around Sains for some stocks.
Rest of day the usual chores, perhaps a bit of weeding and no doubt OH will be watching the TDF this afternoon.
    Have a good weekend all.

    Morning all,

Well done on the losses @joedenise and @maddiemay. Also hope all medical appts go well for your DHs and yours too @bubbs

Pleased to have lost 1.5 this morning. Now to just keep it going!

I’m a bit achey after the painting escapade so plan to do pretty much nothing today 😁 I need to pick up some w/m rolls so will go for a walk around the park  but apart from that I think it will be an afternoon with my book.

Had a banana and coffee in group - must say not particularly liking the new format for image therapy, a few individuals like to talk, a LOT, but early days I suppose - about to have bacon medallions, toast, tomatoes, mushrooms and beans then dinner will be my good old favourite spaghetti with meatballs and Parmesan.

Well done on your losses @joedenise, @Jellybaby and @maddiemay . All moving in the right direction!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

🤞🏼both Mr Bubbs and Mr Maddie get positive news at their appointments this week. The waiting must be hell!🤗

I didn't get to post yesterday. My back was playing me up again and the GP gave me new medication. It relieved the pain but made me really woozy and good for nothing. I'm feeling a bit better today so will have to do postponed weekly shop. I'll take DH with me as I don't think I should drive, probably an expensive solution.🤣

It's warm, overcast and quite close here and a chance of rain is forecast so will leave the washing until tomorrow.

I sort of stayed on plan yesterday. I had breakfast as usual and then just snacked on some quiche as had no appetite. Overall, a bit low on Speed but didn't eat much so hope it balances out.

I have a plan for today so hope I've got the energy to stick to it.

B- HEB toast, eggs, bacon (P), baked beans (F)
L- LO ham hash with pickles (P,F,S)
D- sausage casserole with penne (P,F,S)
Syns- BGTY sausages 2 and weekend wine (as I checked and it's OK with the new pills!👍🏼😁)
