Maman that cracked me up about the tooth 🤣 we have dentist Weds, dh also has opticians .
Jelly glad you got your pipe sorted.
Been ok ish here today , a couple of heavy showers but warm. Although storms still forecast. I even did my ironing this afternoon while it was cooler. We was up th unit till 12.30. So another busy day!
I had a free picky plate for lunch
TeaTried something new tonight, dunno what you call it, apart from it was bloody lushHexb choice wrap, on the other side I used 5%chicken mince, flavoured with mixed herbs, garlic and Paprika. I then put that side down in a hot pan and just flipped it before I was dishing up , i then put, hexs cheese in , cucumber, tomato and salad .Although this was nice, I'll use beef mince next timeI made a sauce from 1 tbsp 0.5 syn ltl mayo, tom puree, and 2 tbsp ff greek yoghurt, chopped spring onions and gherkins.Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
Mmmmm……that looks delicious. I saw something similar on tv a while back and meant to try it.
I put a load of veg, piece of beef and bottle of beer in the slow cooker yesterday. We ended up eating chicken, veg and pasta as we were home later than we intended and Dh needed to go out again. So it went in the fridge until today. I shredded the beef, blitzed the veg and juices with a bit of cornflower and served with stir fried sweetheart cabbage tossed with bacon and onion and new potatoes on the side. It was sooooo nice. Lots of shredded beef in the fridge for wraps and other things. It was lovely to be able to cook in normal heat without melting.
Hope all goes well at the hospital 👍and the tooth extraction goes well 👍January spends - £587.580 -

@bubbs - it's a bit like a quesadilla where you'd normally spread your filling over the wrap with whatever you're using, cover with cheese before adding another wrap and turning once the cheese has melted.
@maman - DH's op is day surgery so I'm going to be stuck in the hospital while he's in theatre. Just hope he's one of the first down as we have to be there at 7am! It's over an hour to drive there so planning on leaving about 5.45! Not looking forward to getting up about 5.
Good luck with the dentist @maman and of course for tomorrow night's WI.
The beef and veg SC dish sounds good @milann.
The goat curry for tomorrow night's dinner looks and smell lovely. Just waiting for it to cool down so I can put it in the fridge. Once it's cooled down I'll be able to scoop the fat off the top. I'm hoping there's enough for us to have tomorrow and also enough to put some in the freezer for another meal in a week or so.

Milann that sounds nice, i can't get on with food apart from pulled pork in the slow cooker, just don't taste the same to me.
Just see today boneless leg of pork is £3.78 kg in asda.
It was nice anyway Denise 😁Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Morning all, it was a very early start this morning- up at 4.45! I’m at the hospital and DH has gone down to theatre already so hopefully won’t be stuck here all day. The consultant said he’s happy for DH to go home around lunchtime.
I bought some overnight oats with me and have eaten them. Not sure about lunch but may just wait till I get home and have a salad. Tonight will be goat curry and rice.
I know what you mean about some SC meals but find curries and mince dishes ok. Don’t like stews cooked in them, prefer to either pressure cook or oven cook.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Hope all goes well @joedenise and you get home for lunch. 🤞
I tend to use my SC mainly for batch cooking, so chilli, Bolognese, savoury mince, keema. I've never used it for a meal on the day as I think things taste so much better when marinated. What I like is that you don't have to watch the SC like you do with things on the hob.
I'm planning on just some soup for lunch as that'll be a light meal before WI and good if I do have a tooth out.
I've had a fry up for breakfast and dinner (after WI) is going to be meatballs and spaghetti in tomato sauce.0 -
Morning all,
Hope all goes well and you’re home for lunch @joedenise. 🤞for both the tooth extraction and WI @maman
Like you @maman I use my SC for batch cooking and I’ve taken to doing bacon joints in them and using the stock, once I’ve skimmed any fat off, for lentil soup in them too. I’ve also done cowboy or Boston beans as I wasn’t prepared to have the oven on for two or three hours 🤣
Didnt sleep much due to the rain battering off the windows so may need a nap this afternoon.
Food today:
B - sweet omelette again as I enjoyed it yesterday 1.5 for yoghurt
L - tuna salad 1.5 for salad cream
D - homemade smoked haddock fish cakes, loads of roasted veg

DH has been back from theatre for about 30 minutes and seems ok. Been told he needs to rest for about an hour and then he’ll probably be ok to go. Not looking forward to driving home as just seen online that there was an accident just after 8 this morning and still not clear.
Edit: traffic delays weren't too bad as police were directing traffic around the accident. Got home about 2 and had my salad - I needed it I was starving!
Now to try and get back to normal - whatever that is.0 -
Afternoon all .
Denise, glad your home and dh is ok, what did he have done his shoulder?
Hope the rain has stopped Jelly? we had rain this morning when we got up but had stopped by the time we went unit at 9.30.
Maman, hope you get on ok at the dentist, we have check up at 9 in the morning, dh has opticians in the afternoon, couldn't get appointment so we only went out once. He booked it at the weekend, within 10 mins Specsavers rang and said it wont be a free eye test unless your eyes have changed as you are not due one, he said that's fine, i need my right eye checking, he also still has this lump on his eye what we thought was a stye , so he said i'll just ask them about that too because of the other cancer.
