@bubbs he's got severe arthritis in his shoulder so the consultant has done keyhole surgery to clean up the end of the bones and apparently he's cut into the biceps muscle as that will help with the bones not rubbing together.  He also took off a load of fluid which had built up over the last few months since he had it removed at the doctors (by one of the physios).  He's still completely numb so no painkillers as yet but no doubt he'll be needing those later this evening!  Hopefully this will mean he won't need a replacement shoulder 🤞.

So pleased it went well for Joe @joedenise. Hopefully it will ward off a much bigger op. 🤞

My trip to the dentist was straightforward. She gave me the numbing injections and when she was poking about to check they'd worked, the tooth virtually came out on its own. She cleaned it out as there was a bit of infection and 🤞 all will be fine.

WI was much as I thought. 3lbs over the top of range so I'll do a food diary and hope to see it off in the next few weeks.

My old consultant was pleased to see me and gave me a big hug. They were a strange group of people but the good news is that she's starting a morning group in September. Wednesday isn't ideal but OK for my usual every 8 weeks.

Morning all, DH had a good night's sleep from about 10 until 6 - the nerve block was still working and he wasn't in pain.  Said it's not too bad this morning but can at least feel something and it's not numb any more.  Hopefully the pain killers will be strong enough otherwise it'll be co-codamol which he hates taking due to the constipation it causes (TMI!).

Glad the dentist went well @maman and not too much of a problem with the tooth coming out so easily, better than when they need to really pull them!   I'm sure you'll easily shift that few pounds to get back to target and good news that your old consultant is starting up another morning group in September.  It shouldn't really matter what day of the week you weigh as you'll still be weighing about every 8 weeks as normal.  The group of people where I started after my old consultant left were also a bit strange and certainly not as friendly as my old group - I think it's probably one of the reasons I decided to go it alone.

    Today's plan:

    B - breakfast hash - P; S; F
    L - pork and apple sauce sandwich - HEB; P; 5
    D - chilli, rice - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 3; apple sauce 2

    Have a good day everyone.

    Evening all 😁

    Denise glad dh is ok.

Maman glad the dentist went ok, 3lb is not too bad after your holiday, you will soon shift it 😁😁

Well we was just leaving at 8.15 for dentist and they rang and cancelled it!! Dentist is ill, been trying ringing all day to get an appointment and there is a message at the start saying they are busy please be patient, well i let it ring 2 1/3 -3 mins every time and still didn't get through after trying 4 times today, i'll try tomorrow.

DH had his eye test, no change so that's good, he asked the optician about the lump on his eye, he said it may get bigger and if it does he needs to go to the doctors but he said it's not sinister, he told him what had happened regarding the cancer and he said i can understand why you was getting worried.

Anyway because we was ready to go out this morning, dh says do you want to go shopping anywhere? I said oh lets go and look in Sainsburys as i saw alot of electrical things posted yesterday they were reduce, Bubbs grabs bargains of  lifetime 🤣🤣🤣I use the hand held scanner, picked a double electric blanket up 1p , next thing i pick up hand held hoover 1p 🤣🤣🤣That's all i found though.

Did you know also when you shop at lidl and you get a free item , ie bakery, then fruit, then sauce etc, you can get the big 1kg strawberries free 😁😁😁 or if it's veg you can get the big sack of potatoes free 😁

    Food today

    Picky plate, free

Fakeaway chinese , 3 syns for my half and hexb.

Oh i was really naughty last night and ate loads and i mean like half a box loads 🤣 of wine gums, very nice they were too 🤣

Hope Coxy is ok after her meeting Monday 🤔

Those must be the most amazing bargains ever @bubbs! Much better than going to the dentist! 🤣

The Chinese looks super professional as always. 😋

Well done on getting a few more syns in the wine gums. 😁

Glad to hear that Joe had a good night @joedenise, hope he can manage without any co-codamol.

I'm lucky that this SW group is only about a mile away @joedenise so easy to get to even if I just go for weigh and go. I can understand why you decided to go it alone though as it's quite a journey for you.

    Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA 1 milk, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
    L- lentil soup (P, S)
    D- Austrian ham hash (P, S, F), cauliflower and broccoli (S)
    Syns - mustard 1

Morning all, up much earlier than usual!  Slept really well until about 3 and then can dozing and waking up so gave up about 5.15.  DH got up even earlier!  Not sure what time but think it was probably about half hour earlier as there was still a cup of tea in the pot!

Annoying about the dentist @bubbs but bargain hunting played dividends for you!  @bubbs strikes again.  I don't know how you manage it but you seem to do it regularly.  Wish I could find a hand held hoover for 1p - would be handy for the motorhome rather than the usual dustpan and brush!

When our dentist was ill a couple of years ago they just fitted us in with one of the other dentists in the practice and she was so nice (didn't really like the dentist we'd been seeing!) I asked if we can stay with her so we've been seeing here ever since.

DH isn't feeling any pain this morning so hasn't actually taken a painkiller yet so that's good.  Wouldn't be surprised though if last night's painkiller wears off soon as it was around this time when he took one yesterday morning.  I've got to take of the pressure dressing around lunchtime today - think that might we a bit painful - the sticky bit looks really stuck - good job he isn't a hairy guy!

    Today's plan:

    B - bacon & spring onion omelette - P; S
    L - ham salad wrap - HEB; P; S; 3.5
    D - mushroom stroganoff, rice - HEA2; P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - Primula Light
    HEB - SW wrap
Syns - avocado 3.5; may have a mini mix lolly 6

    Have a good day everyone.

Aldi or Lidl were selling hand hoovers a few months ago. DS2 bought one to keep his new car clean and I think he paid about £12.99 (I might be wrong) and thought it was a good price but obviously not in your league @bubbs 🤣🤣 you should start a YT channel on how to grab a bargain 😁

I started painting the external lower window casings yesterday and re-staining the garage door and windows and I’m done in! I was up and down ladders, it was much tougher than I thought it would be. Finished what I started this morning and phoned a couple of people to quote.  DS is off on holiday or he would’ve been roped in!

Breakfast was fruit and yoghurt, might just have more fruit for lunch, dont really feel hungry in this heat. Dinner is steak, chips, tomatoes, mushrooms and onions.
