Another good haul today @bubbs, you certainly know how to stretch out the food budget. 😇

I don't envy you being in the unit tomorrow, hope you can get the orders done before it gets too hot.

It was 25 degrees before 10 o'clock this morning. I went to my walking group but we stayed under the trees and managed OK. It was 31 degrees this afternoon.

We're out for lunch tomorrow, hope it's not too hot in the restaurant. No idea of the menu so hopefully something SW friendly. 🤞

    Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, bacon, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- JP (F), keema curry (P, S), salad (S)
    D- Austrian ham hash (P, F, S), veg (S)
    Syns - mustard 1

    Hi all,

Have had murders trying to post this week plus work woes - not sure what today in the office will bring but things need to get better. I have the Friday morning dreads ☹️

Food has been truly terrible and as if to prove the point, I have a very sore tummy and IBS symptoms. My own stupid fault.

    Food today:
    B - banana, blueberries
L - cous cous, beetroot, feta, apple
D - citrus salmon, rice, tenderstem
    broccoli
    HEA - milk
    HEB - skinny oaty
Syns - 0.5 for couscous - will definitely have something else once home.

    Have a good day all

Morning all, I'm back!!!  Got back last night but was absolutely knackered - probably through lack of sleep over the last month while we've been away because it has just been too hot to sleep properly.  Did get plenty of walking in though and DH didn't do much driving as we only went about half an hour most days and stayed a coupe of days in one place a few times which made for very peaceful break.

Have weighed this morning as it's my normal WI day and am pleased that I have only put on 2.4lb which is amazing considering the amount of stuff I wouldn't normally eat - white bread, pastries, pizza, cheeses and pate!  What I cooked though was mainly on plan so that probably helped to keep the weight gain as low as it did along with the walking.  No idea how but DH managed to lose about 4lb!

Hope DH's blood tests turn out OK @bubbs.  Another fantastic haul from the Company shop.

Glad you had a good holiday @maman and are now ready to get back on plan properly after the weekend.

Well done to all the losers and commiserations to anyone who has gained when they didn't want to.

We did do a couple of loads of washing while we were away but I've still got a mountain to do!   Have done 3 loads of washing and all out on the line.  It's probably going to take a few days to get through it all although I'll keep going until it's done.  In addition to the mountain of clothes there are also 2 sets of bedding to do but it will get done eventually.

Anyway to SW matters today's plan:

    B - bacon omelette - P
    L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - HEA2; HEB; S
    D - steak, chips, onions, mushrooms - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

@bubbs great haul again. @joedenise good result after your holiday. @coxy11 sorry you are having a rotten time at work.
I have confined myself to barracks again today, OH has been poorly with a cold virus, generous soul has  given it to me now, need to cancel my time at a family Christening tomorrow, disappointing, but cannot spread it around.

Welcome back @joedenise . That’s a very small gain after being away so long, fabulous!
Hope you feel better soon @maddiemay rotten you’re missing the christening.
Hope work improves @Coxy11 nothing worse than the ‘dreads’.
How expensive has masonry paint and wood stain got?!!  And of course they didn’t have the colour I’ve already used so stood for ages trying to decide 🤣

Food related not much happening. Still on salads, fruit and yoghurt, too hot for anything else.

    Evening all 😁

Welcome back Denise, that's a fab gain for a month away.

Coxy hope you are feeling better.

Maddie sorry you have to cancel your plans, but be careful Mum's friend has covid and been quite poorly for 2 weeks and still testing positive 😢

Oh dh's appointment has been cancelled and remade for the next week 😢 another week of worrying, letter came today.

    Hot,  hot ,hot!!

I left here to go unit at 7.50am and it was 27 degrees!! Popped to get post at 1ish and car was reading 33!

Spoke to Mum earlier, she has been waiting for age UK to get back to her about her step, she said ironic i live in a bungalow but feel trapped!  It's the step to the back door she is struggling with, (front even worse) but we have always used the back door, they told her 18 weeks, she worked it out end of August, but they rang and came this week, so she was pleased , but then they said extending the steps , yes that's fine but will put 1 rail up, Mum said that's no good i need one either side, oh that will take it over the budget they said, Mum said  I am willing to pay, Oh no you can't pay 😂 we will have to apply for a grant if it's over the budget, let's get the quote the woman said, if not we will apply for the grant but that takes about 8 weeks.
I said to Mum this time next year it will get done at this rate.

Then she had a grumble about her feet 😂 and she has to have the shoes made for her , they better not be heavy!, well that's a waste of £70 i just spent on these ones, I have a high instep make sure you measure my feet right 🤣🤣 I thought hey up she is starting to sound like a old person , bless her 🥰

    Anyway food,

Lunch was part hexb and part hexa

Tea was BBQ chicken done in the air fryer, free and picky bits, free, i then had 1.5 ltl mayo

Welcome back @joedenise. Glad you had a good holiday and the minimal gain is amazing! 👍

Baking hot here too but coping by staying in the north facing rooms.

Sorry to hear you're not well @maddiemay, hope you feel better soon. Shame about missing the christening but you're missing the pub buffet too. 🤔😁

That's so ridiculous about the adaptations to the step for your mum @bubbs. By the time the grant gets approved it will be too cold to go out! ☹️

Hope you had an OK day at work @Coxy11. 🤗

I made good choices at lunch time. I had sea bream with prawns, new potatoes and broccoli. Only syns would have been in the sauce, any oil in cooking and 3 for a G&T. I passed on the knickerbocker glory that everyone else had. 👍

The bad news is that I weighed at the GP (after lunch) and I'm 6.5lbs over target range. 😢 That'll teach me to have 3 weeks of crisps, biscuits, white bread, ice cream, baklava, full fat chips and copious alcohol.

I'm going to take the scenic route back to target, doing 'good when I can' . I've done my meal plan and shop for the week and there's just one meal out in there, next Thursday. Onwards and downwards!

I ended up with syns as DH decided to open a bottle of wine so that's about 18 syns I think!  Just have to be a bit more careful rest of the week.

I'm sure you'll manage to lose that excess weight quite quickly @maman - you always choose sensibly when you eat out and very low syn when eating at home.
