That’s a ridiculous price for a strawberry tart @milann especially as they are in season - not like it’s Christmas and they are importing them!!
Food looks lush @bubbs.Screening went okay and apparently I’m only due one more as they stop at 60 unless I want to go private! DH’s kit is now in the downstairs loo - he can read the instructions whilst sitting in there!! 🤣
We cleared DS2’s bedroom and took woodwork and carpet to the tip then I went up the allotment with him as DH had work. We weeded two beds and raked them over. Brought home:
5 large garlic bulbs
Another 250g of broad beans which I’ve frozen
2 beetroot
5 large spring onions
2 medium courgettes
2 punnets of strawberries
and forgot to get what I went for - a lettuce 🤣🤣
Dinner was bolognaise bake using up three small courgettes harvested last week. I did LO new potatoes, tomatoes and cucumber with mine for some speed. Syns therefore only 5.5 for today.A little cooler here but not by much!Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
Coxy glad screening went ok, yes i am only due one more next year then that's it , i think we should get them till the end!
Food was lovely, 1st time trying the sw wraps, i have frozen them by rolling them , then take one out at a time, thought i'd try something different .
Well done on your allotment haul.

That’s a hefty price for a strawberry tart @milann. The dearest I’ve seen here is £4.80 but I suppose it could be a lot more in the cities.
Thunder and heavy rain showers are back! Cant believe Maman is due back already 😳Have Pilates shortly then pottering around at home type of day. Will make some lentil soup in the slow cooker for the freezer. Cooked a gammon joint for dinner and want to use the stock.
Food today:
B/L - sweet omelette with banana, strawberries and nectarine, yoghurt 1.5 and tbsp skinny syrup 0.5
D - gammon, new potatoes, broccoli, carrots and sweetcorn, pudding is an ice-cream cone 9.5
Have a good day everyone!0 -

@coxy11 all I do is whisk 3 eggs, add a tsp of vanilla essence and cook omelette as you would normally do. Once cooked I add sliced banana on one half and fold over. Serve with other fruits and yoghurt of choice. I also have a tbsp of toffee skinny syrup over it too for 0.5 syn.
I sometimes add a half teaspoon of cinnamon to the egg mix if I’m having sliced apple or have the M&S skyr baked apple yoghurt. Some people add powdered sweetener but I’m not a fan of it.
It took me a couple of goes to get my head around sweet eggs 🤣 but it’s a firm favourite now!0 -
Oooh thank you @ Jellybaby. I might try it tomorrow as have a lot of strawberries from the allotment that need using up.Have enjoyed my food today and have just sat down after doing a pile of ironing. Does that count as body magic ?!Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0

Morning all,
Dull, cool and exceedingly wet here!Forgot to say I usually spray the pan with the butter or coconut frylight @coxy11 although it wrecks my pans!Great bargains as usual @bubbs
Taking mum to her bloods appt shortly and we will no doubt end up in a cafe somewhere with her trying to force feed me caramel shortbread 🙄 it’s a battle I will win easily. She is an absolute feeder.
I had another sweet omelette with strawberries, mango and yoghurt for breakfast (2 syns for yog and syrup), there’s lentil soup if I want any lunch and we’re having steak, chips and all the veg for dinner. Might have a cone for pudding.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Hello All!😊 Back from my holiday, having gained a lovely suntan, lovely memories and almost certainly some not so lovely extra pounds!
I have tried to read along and keep up while I was away but it would have been cruel to post some of the food I was eating. What matters is that I enjoyed it all. I couldn't eat like that all year round but it was good at the time.
Back to reality now and I've decided I'll ease myself in gently and start SW seriously on Monday. So, I'm going to have a drink this evening, have my usual high-ish syn weekend and then next week it'll be back to normal. That'll give me a chance to do a meal plan and shop to get in everything I need. I'm not going to weigh yet but need to check when I have to go to WI next. I think it's in about 2 weeks.
I wish I'd read your post earlier @Jellybaby as I could have had lentil soup from the freezer for lunch. Instead I had pasta and tonight we're having spaghetti Bolognese so not great planning.
It's sunny and pleasant here today, 21 degrees and a nice breeze. Sorry to read that many of you have been melting. We had the benefit of AC and the sea to cool off in!❤️😎0 -
Welcome back @maman glad you had a good time x
Hope you managed to resist the caramel shortcake @Jellybaby. I reckon our Mums are sistas from another mista.
I went for an early run at 7am before it got too hot. Did 4.4km round trip although I did walk a couple of times. My aim is to continue with Park Run on Saturdays and build up to keeping going for 5k. I've done it before so will do it again.
I went to the allotment this morning. There are 4 horses in an adjacent field and their electric fence had broken so they were loose. Luckily the gate to the allotment was shut otherwise they'd have trampled all the hard work and we have an open day on Saturday. I helped to weed in between the onions along with another lady and we had a lovely chat. Really lovely community and some very interesting folk. She had taken in a Ukrainian family so was telling me about their progress. I brought home another 250g broad beans, 5 beetroot (gave 3 to Mum), 3 garlic (gave 2 to Mum), golden beans (like French beans but pale yellow), rainbow chard and tenderstem brocolli.
Food today:
B - nothing
L - picky plate a la @bubbs - 30g feta, fresh beetroot, crabsticks, tomatoes, gherkins - HEA, S, free
D - SW mushroom risotto, parmesan - 3
HEA - milk
HEB - skinny oaty later
Syns - skinny dream 3.5 plus 3 so 6.5 total
