We're just doing France this time - probably just Normandy and Brittany but if the weather is carp then we'll probably head a bit further south!

We're thinking about Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany for our September trip.  We'll use the tunnel for that trip though as have quite a few Tesco vouchers which need using up.  Going to book that when we get back probably once we know what's happening with DH's shoulder!  Hopefully the op on our return will be successful and the full replacement can be put off a bit longer!

Lovely part of the world @joedenise. You'll have plenty to see and do in Brittany and Normandy.

Hope your DH can do justice to the roast beef @bubbs and that the new pan makes your usual legendary Yorkies!😋🤣

    Lovely YPs @bubbs!

That sounds like a lovely break @joedenise - such an interesting part of France.

We had breakfast at the hotel - I had two bowls of fruit salad then a little scrambled egg, lean bacon, mushrooms, tomato and cubed potatoes. We came home via a NT house which was rammed with families. DH queued for 20 minutes for a coffee, we toured the house then queued again for a sandwich then another 20 minutes or so for an ice cream. Plenty of walking as the grounds were extensive and the rose gardens were just beautiful. Got home at 6pm and made a quick SW beef stir fry which was yummy.

WI tomorrow and know I will have gained but at least I have mitigated the damage with good choices this weekend. We shall see!!

    Morning all,

Yes @maman - tbh the NT book made it sound small and insignificant but we were astounded by the gardens (as were half of Hampshire it seems!!) Lovely day.

Well as expected I had a gain - 2.5lbs on which I feel a little hard done by considering I was on plan all week and chose wisely. It would appear that any alcohol or pudding just comes back to bite me.

    Food today:
    B - tortilla - potato, egg, cheese, brown sauce, blueberries - Free, P, 1/2 HEA, 1, S
L - brown rice, feta, gherkins, pickled red cabbage, onions, soy, apple - Free, HEA, S
D - pork fillet, gnocchi in cream and cider, green beans - P, 7, S
    1/2 HEA - milk
    HEB - tba
Syns - skinny bar 3.5 plus 8 so 11.5 total

Morning all, another nice day although a bit breezy.  No more washing until I come back next month!  Will obviously need to do some while I'm away as don't have a month's worth of clothes - or the space to put them if I did!

I dread to think how much I'll put on this holiday although I'll try to be good when I can although that's quite hard with all the lovely cheeses and pate!

I probably won't be posting while I'm away but will try to read when I can - wifi willing!

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions - HEA2; HEB; S
    L - 2 pea soup - S; F
    D - beef olives, mash, veg - P; S; F; 2

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - breadcrumbs 1.5; mustard 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.
