Good evening all, just to let you all know we didn't sleep very well and were up at 3.15 this morning!!! Plenty of time to get to the port and ended up having to wait for over 2 hours before they even started loading and being a larger vehicle we didn't get on until nearly the end. The only ones later getting on than us were the cars and caravans!
We drove for an hour once we got to Dieppe and are now just relaxing for the evening after a walk around the town and a bit of shopping. DH is having a short nap and I'm to wake him at 7.30 so he's got half a chance to sleep tonight.
Pretty good with food this evening had ham and cheese salad with some French stick.
Not sure everything will be as good this holiday but we'll see!0 -

@milann great loss. Denise pleased you arrived safely, hope you both have a good night's rest.
@Coxy11 fingers crossed you O.K. now.
Very hot today walked 6 miles part around Derwentwater mainly through woods and close to the lake. The whole circuit too far so caught bus back crazy ride bendy stone walled narrow road meeting lots of terrified tourists in their cars, so glad I wasn't driving though O.H. doesn't mind. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Morning all,
Sounds like a white-knuckle ride @maddiemay!!It’s Mums birthday today and I’m taking her and DDad for brunch. I have had breakfast of poached egg on GF toast so will choose wisely. Dinner tonight is SW leek and mushroom pasta.DDad is going to my cousins for a couple of nights so I’ll get up to the community allotment this afternoon and bring some pickings home. Apparently the soft fruit is coming in ❤️
Have a good day all

Fab loss @milann 🎉. Have a lovely day @Coxy11. I’m doing the birthday lunch for Dad tomorrow 😁
Thunder showers forecast here but so far it’s sunshine and warming up nicely. No washing today thank goodness!Having two main meals a day seems to be suiting my stomach better. I’m having bran flakes with yoghurt, strawberries, raspberries and mango around 10ish and chicken curry with rice for dinner.
Off out to meet my friend for coffee. Have a good day everyone!0 -
@Coxy11 I hope that you all enjoyed brunch, yes the bus ride was pretty lively!
A break away sounds just what OH and you need @bubbs.
@Jellybaby seems you might have found a way of eating that is best for you.
WI this morning not good 2 pounds back on, still it is a holiday! Another week away and will try and plan better, not just the increase is the problem, but a very unhappy tum too.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Brunch was nice. Mum and DDad had cooked meals but I chose the HM malt loaf. As a result I had a picky lunch of a bag of French fries, a banana, some crab sticks and a skinny bar!!Dinner was lush - SW mushroom and leek pasta with the addition of freshly picked broad beans yummy. I also picked some raspberries, a few strawberries and a few gooseberries - ideas for those please. I also got a small courgette which I’ll use tomorrow.Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0
