The big draw in the area is the pub and Belfairs Woods. Chazzers are few and far between in those parts!Wednesday2000 said:No. I haven’t been up that way to look at charity shops yet. I should do.No man is worth crawling on this earth.

I’ve only been to the woods twice, but was planning to do a walk there while the leaves are autumnal. I haven’t tried the Inn either yet!
I will hopefully find a parka next weekend while I’m in Southend and Shoeburyness.6 -
Oooooh, bought something completely out of my usual comfort zone during the week……a black leather a-line midi skirt from the Sue Ryder chazza £6.99 and the most gloriously soft and sumptuous leather. Not a clueby doo how to style it but …..hey ho!
Then today in the Thirsk, Herriot Hospice shop I could not resist an L K Bennett coat, paid £45😳 but fits beautifully and not a mark on it. Found it for sale on FleaBay at nearly £300🤭

@Miró
Maybe the skirt needs a big loose turtleneck jumper with matching colour tights? Scarf or brooch on the jumper?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. @Miró - I love the skirt, perfect for autumn and winter! I have similar in brown leather which I don't wear anywhere near often as I should, the cut is very forgiving. Can be styled in a multitude of ways - for your black one, I'd probably go with a smart blouse and furry gilet on top should it get chilly.No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Spent ages yesterday trying different ‘looks’ with the leather skirt but gave up in the end - I guess it just wasn’t ‘me’ ☹️. Plopped it on Vinted and as soon as I listed it…it sold and at the asking price…no haggling! Made a little bit of profit which will help pay for the L K Bennett coat 😊
Today, in the Cancer Research shop in Northallerton they had a boxful of scarves on the 50p table….couldn’t resist but stopped at 3. Two bnwt great big silky satiny ones and one pure silk.

I had a lucky day at the chaz with a couple of these (one of which had clearly never been used) for a couple of quid:

£32 full price: https://www.dunelm.com/product/masterclass-non-stick-aluminium-17cm-casserole-dish-14l-1000221177?defaultSkuId=30847607#product_reviewsNo man is worth crawling on this earth.

Meant to say this got my spidey sense tingling.....the blue/purpley one is the pure silk isn't it?!Miró said:Today, in the Cancer Research shop in Northallerton they had a boxful of scarves on the 50p table….couldn’t resist but stopped at 3. That would be my guess, too. In my ignorance I have a 1 in 3 chance of being right but the vane dy label doesn't suggest 100% silk...4

I was so happy to pick up a pristine copy of Bill's "Cook, Eat, Smile" for just 20p - what a delight! Although it's not vegetarian, the book clearly celebrates fresh seasonal produce and I am encouraged to try its recipes as we head into winter.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
