I am delighted to be the proud owner of a Trespass waterproof jacket for £2.50 If today is anything to go by it is going to get good use this winter!

Mine is a stone colour but I would have been happy with green too.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.12 -
A couple more things I picked up yesterday in the 99p shop….. (now all washed & ironed).
A Hawkshead shirt in a pink & blue pattern and a Zara shirt in a Black Watch tartan patterned brushed cotton with sparkly beaded embellishments above the pockets. The Zara will be perfect for when I take up line dancing*….yeeee hawww!,

@Rosa_Damascena I LOVE that knit coat... what a find!
Just catching up with everyone's bargains. A few of my own today:
- A Craghoppers coat. Warm, waterproof, not very flattering, but much needed for dog-walking. It was £20 and in very good condition. I need to do a coat audit this weekend and put some on Vinted...
- A Masai shift dress. I really like Masai (not new, too pricey!) and this is in a loose shift style. It's grey-ish and I have to go to a funeral next week so it might work for that (I have a more traditional black dress already if not). £8.99.
- A pair of M&S Good Move leggings in purple leopard skin print for £6.59
- A plain black John Lewis knitted polo neck, very classic, very useful. £5.
- a pretty glass-blown window ornament in the shape of a bird. First stocking filler for my Mother in law (we get her a mix of a few new treats and second hand as she loves charity shops almost as much as me). £2.5011 -
@Miró - how fabulous to have a 99p store in the near vicinity, I hope you donate back as much as you buy to create a rental platform by another name. The question remains...how on earth did you get anything dry yesterday? It tipped it down all day here and my saturated jeans are now in the WM.
@Magpie100 - I hadn't heard of the Masai brand previously but was encouraged to look online. Pricey! No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Had to go to the market today to get eggs and bacon and popped into Dog's Trust which is close by. Nothing of interest really, not even the usual in house dog waiting to be petted!! But I did spot a rack of cards for £1 each and found a nice one with a hedgehog on it for OH's birthday next week.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I often get the £1 cards from the Dogs Trust. They sometimes have ones with cats on too.8

From the Sue Ryder shop, a bnwt lambswool scarf for £3.99. Label said Edinburgh so I thought it was Edinburgh Woollen Mill but on looking it up it is the .Edinburgh Lambswool Co and the scarf was selling for £80! Crikey, who pays that for a scarf? We have an old walnut tree in the village that nobody bothers with so I trundled up with the wheelbarrow and scooped up all the walnuts, even the squirrels didn’t want them! Now dried and weighed…5.5lbs of free walnuts. Ermm, what does one dooo with an excess of walnuts? (Currently researching candied walnuts….)

Walnut tart with brandy icing. Courtesy of Keith Floyd. My OH has made this in the past and it is so good. Pleased to see that someone else liked it enough to put it on the interweb so I don't have to type the whole thing out!! Walnut tart with brandy icing | Carole's Stuff and Occasional Nonsense
