S'well water bottle. Paid 6.99 which is a lot more than I normally would pay but it retails at around the £24 mark and the shop let me test it in their kitchen for leaks before I bought it. It's the 500ml size which is just right for a handbag when going the theatre etc and I was getting fed up of water escaping from the plastic bottles while I was out.
And it's insulated and very pretty.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.10 -
Oh yes, I bought a reusable water bottle and a thermos from a charity shop the other day. I had completely forgotten about that as I had a nap when I got home
They were both new as they had labels and they were £6 for both.

I was in town yesterday and once again the weather didn't let me down. I enjoyed strolling along the South Bank and browsing along the table top used book sales. Whilst its good to see it still thriving - I bought a very dog-eared version of Yudkin's "Pure, White and Deadly" from there many moons ago - every single book was priced at £6.50. I couldn't bring myself to spend so much when I can buy 25 second hand books for that sum back in my usual haunts less than 40 miles down the estuary and have the money go to charity.

So much to read, so little time.10 -

Hi everyone, hope you had a good day.
I was so tired yesterday that I completely forgot to say that I also bought an empty frame hoping that it was the right size for a print I bought during the week when I went round some of the artists exhibiting in Abingdon for Artweeks here. Miraculously I'd remembered the proportions exactly right so here is the framed print.
ETA: sorry about my reflection in the glass, I hadn't noticed it until I reread my post.
Then I remembered to photograph the trousers and two pairs of jeans I bought in Bicester and for good measure threw in the two tops neither of which I'll be keeping because they don't suit me.
The jeans are lovely thick denim and girlfriend style from F&F so I thought they'd be good for the allotment and the navy trousers are very light chino style from Next I think, none of them cost more than £5. The tops were both from the Sobell warehouse and only a £1 each which is why I took a bit of a chance on them. I might try asking if I can return them to the branch here in Oxford and if not I'll simply redonate them."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

Hello everyone,
I always read along and cheer you all on from the sidelines! I went to a seaside town on the east coast at the weekend with a friend - we do it fairly regularly as we catch up over a chazzer mooch and a bite to eat!
I have been on a bit of a decluttering run for a while so only buy when I actually see something I need or can't talk myself out of! I have a list in my head of things I'm always on the look out for .....big plant pots, wooden bowls, 1950's melamine trays....you get the drift! Anyway on Saturday I knocked TWO things off my list - a Longschamps handbag (RRP £80) and a slim rucksack (RRP £39.99).
Both were £7.99 - I also bought a Fat Face corduroy dress (£3) which fits great and a pair of jeans (£3) which were too small for me.
Combined with a wonderful mooch around my local Open Gardens event where I spent a total of £25 and I picked up several plants for my garden and hand made cane ceramic toppers .
All in all a frugal-tastic weekend where my £££££ were stretched a long way.
Thanks everyone for sharing your buys - I love reading along and cheering you all from the sidelines!

I took a trip up to Banbury this morning, and was really shocked by how derelict the town centre is these days. Most annoyingly, several of my favourite chazzers have disappeared - although I did discover two new ones which have sprung up since my last visit and they turned out to be the only ones in which I made any purchases. I bought a long sleeved stretchy tunic top in a faux patchwork pattern of dark turquoise and mustard yellow motifs, and a heavyweight grey marl longline knitted coatigan which is actually a bit oversized on me but I still really like it. Those were from the Woodgreen charity shop (the sister to which I discovered in Bicester over the weekend) and they had a similar model of stocking heaps of clothes at very reasonable prices. Both my items were £3 each.
Then I discovered a new to me Dementia Support charity shop and made quite the entrance. There were two steps just inside the shop which were very high and had a deceptive lip on the front of them which I failed to spot, and I did a spectacular pratfall to announce my arrival. What a blithering idiot. The lady running the shop bounded over, expressed great concern, assured me she is always tripping on those steps and then wailed "we are only a small charity, please don't sue us!!" which made me laugh all the way around the shop.
There was not a great deal of interest to me (I hate to say it, but the shop looked very grubby and haphazard) but I did end up getting a manual Cuttlebug embosser/diecutter for £3 which I didn't really need (I have the computer-operated Silhouette and various Sizzix machines already, plus I've lost the habit of making my own cards over the past year or so) but this looked handy as it was more portable than any of my existing stuff.7 -
I bought this from the Salvation Army in the local High Street earlier:
I could see it was Joseph Joseph but had to ask what it was.
It is a soap dispenser, which apparently retails new at £20.95! Mine for £1.99 though. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.8 -
Me: I'm never gonna buy anything from Primark, either from their shops or chazza shops cos I don't agree with their business methods!
Me today: Ooooh that's a nice dress, oh it's Primark, but it's only 99p, sold!!!
So much for my principlesAlso picked up in the same shop....a pair of ivory M & S flat leather shoes, a pair of black M & S ankle grazer trousers and a Hollister grey hoody. Hope this is a genuine Hollister as I know there are a lot of fakes around. The label inside says something about Abercrombie & Fitch? Thought that was another company?? Anyhoo, everything today was 99p.
@Working_Mum Oooooh well done spotting the Longchamps bag....I have that one too but I bought mine from a seller on Vinted for £30 (!) I did a lot of research before buying as I know there are loads of dupes around - yours looks genuine tho!
@Floss There is a shop in Otley that sells hardbacks and paperbacks for 20p a pop.....so nerrr!!
