Had a really good visit to Huddersfield yesterday, went into the Kirkwood hospice shop near the church & found a pair of m&s jeans for £3.50, then walked down to the shop in the pack house centre & found 2 tu dresses, a next office shift dress, Peter storm short zip fleece, a Tu shirt, a Tesco top & a pair if George jeans for myself & a pair of Charles tyrwhitt trousers for my brother all £2 each such a haul for a size 20 lady unusual. Even bigger happy moment was when I tried everything on at home & everything fitted. Thankyou to the size 20 lady who must have had a clear out

I checked the price on my brother's trousers when I got home an eye watering £89.99 had spotted the brand until I repacked my bag they happened to be his size.
I suspect she has been jabbing herself with whatever is now fashionable and is no longer size 20.

I remember the Wood and Sons Clovelly tea plates, bought from The Shambles in Worcester in the 60s to supplement the Green Beryl ware.

General I don't think you were posting back in the days when someone expressed a wish for some tidily turned out person to drop dead so they could buy out an entire wardrobe from a charity shop? It was before covid & seemed funny at the time. I worry these jabs are not a good idea not least as we have ectomorphs & endomorphs for a reason, (even if it seems to be to give the ectomorphs someone to laugh at.)

I have two small dishes from this service and some egg cups. I use them in the bathroom to hold bars of soap and bobby pins. I saw the complete set in our local charity shop over the summer.
I remember on special occasions we would eat dinner on this set.  No idea where the original went but I have collected them from charity shops over the years

If you'd been around our local hospice shop 20 years ago you could have had our family's complete set, along with some Berylware too!
