Morning stayed the same this week @Brambling
Really pleased with this as I attended my first bereavement counselling session last week, had a major wobble and ate all the food and I mean all the food before managing to stop myself from doing this at the weekend.
Next week is a new week I guessWeight loss goal 6/7lbs for first quarter
Overall 2025 weight loss goal for the year 6/21lbs
Holiday savings target 3400/£48007 -
@Brambling I was going to say minus 1lb but I think you have already added it this week (from my hopeful comment on Sunday I think)? I am back to my start weight of this quarter (11st 11/75.5 Kilos ). It is sooo hard to get below that and maintain it.6

cheerfulness4 said:Back to normal here today. Can't honestly say the fish and chips felt like a treat after all the lovely home cooked things DH has been making for me. My tastes are changing.
well done everyone 👏👏Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin3 -
I had to hunt down the rennies, too Brambling. The worst of it was that the following day we had a repeat as DH wasn't up to cooking. He works with mentally ill adults and sometimes he takes a beating which happened this week. We've decided that, while he could cope with it years ago, he's too old for the job now and is leaving in the summer. I think physically and mentally it's become too much for him.
So lets try again!
Food today:
1 x slice of buttered toast
Lemon & Pepper fish fillet with quinoa with mixed beans
Snacks - packet of quavers, fruit
Actually on reflection that doesn't look like enough food so I'll add some crackers and stilton if I feel hungry later on.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

It's weigh day and I remembered to step on the scales this morning.
2 lb off for me please Brambling.
I'm mostly eating OK but I've cut out about 90% of the snacking and I'm trying to move a bit more too. Not lots more, that just makes you hungry but I'm tring to do more steps than I'd do if I was just moving around the house normally.4 -
Well done, Cranky.
Food today:
2x Boiled eggs with 1x buttered fingers
Super spaghetti with salad
Snacks - Fruit
I'm looking forward to my Super spaghetti although we do change the recipe a little and stir 90g of soft cheese into the mix to make a nice creamy sauce and do away with the hard cheese.

Hi all! Annoyed that I've put 3lbs back on :-( It's so cold and I'm struggling with lack of motivation. I'm back at my house and I don't have central heating, only storage heaters and my stove. It's too cold in the morning to do Pilates, going outside is cold, and I'm tired and want to eat lots! Plus got some worries on my mind, which doesn't help.
I did do a big batch cook yesterday, so now have portioned up cottage pie, lasagne and veg pasta sauce in the freezer. Hopefully next week will be better. Brrr!
Roll on spring 😂6 -
Nevermind, Pixie. Like the rest of us that put on this week you braved the scales and reported here. Now you have a fresh page to start the week and the batch cooking is bound to help, but totally get how fed up you are of this drab weather. Nearly at spring, though, aren't we?
