Old Style Weight Loss Challenge - 1st Quarter 2025

So sorry to read your sad news. We just don't know what will happen! I have spent this morning finalising my will and power of attorney but really hope they won't be needed soon.Black_Saturn said:Well done everyone on your efforts this week.
We had a sudden death in the family on Friday, which was completely unexpected as he went for a run Thursday morning, took a turn Thursday afternoon, and died 24 hours later. It’s hard to comprehend when there is no suggestion of ill health and I have fought hard not to eat my emotions, but it hasn’t been easy. Keeping busy has been the key, and I have a -1lb loss to report.
I haven’t done a meal plan for this week, yet. There is a box of salad items in the fridge, which I need to chop up. I find it more likely to reach for the salad when it’s already prepared, so I’m going to do that today. I also need to make up a batch of soup at some point.5

I'm sorry for you lost Black_saturn when they are as quick as that there is no time to prepare, just remember to take care of yourself
Katejo I have no partner or offspring so I make sure i have a up to date will and that my nearest sister knows where it is kept. I was speaking to her about LPOs for the same reason and must add that to my to do list. I also need to draw up a list of financial things especially if you consider these days i don't have bank statements or letters from BSs sent.

@Brambling It's worth having the P of A (both financial and health related). You can allow your attorneys to have say in your welfare even if you are only temporarily unable to deal with your finances/health wishes (eg. ill in a foreign hospital). You can also tell them in which circumstances you would want doctors to resuscitate you. I also don't have a partner or offspring.Brambling said:I'm sorry for you lost Black_saturn when they are as quick as that there is no time to prepare, just remember to take care of yourself

This week I can ask you to record a minus 1/2 lb for me. Really wanted a full lb but it is actually 3/4 which is very annoying! Planning to get back to going on walks from this coming weekend. There is a good 9 mile one for me to join in Kent on Saturday.6

I made up a big tub of salad today, and spent most of the afternoon cleaning the bedrooms. It felt as if I had gone through a heavy workout. How it gets so messy under the beds, is beyond me, but hopefully, my efforts will reflect on the scales next week 🤣
Once again, thank you all for your thoughts ❤️7
