hugs to those in need or who would like one.
may pop in the tlc carriage.
Been working late but popped to post one item I've sold (and packaging) 207
but didn't list things I wanted. Working at home tomorrow so will try and do a little before and after as don't have to travel. In desperate need of tidying as paperwork left out for moving many frogs forward.
So glad decorator delayed so I can do that weekend after tax deadline.
Have a few more things to do to CS .
Mrs SD you are right I got the house ok for guests before and haven't brought anything big in since then. I am naturally someone who gets distracted and while I work hard to tidy up as a go .... only partially successful19 -

Sold another two items on eBay and listed everything I photographed last night.Decluttered a shelf in the flipping kitchen cupboard as it collapsed. Had all my glass cooking dishes on, thankfully none broken but did find a few things I didn’t know I had. Now to wait for DH to mend cupboard but got a man coming tomorrow to see to the cooker so won’t be for a day or two yet.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Thank you Mrs SD, I think funding a new house may be harder than getting an offer on our current one but fingers crossed! I think you deserve a medal for all your fabulous cheerleading efforts.
Thank you for the hugs @Dizzycap
@weenancyinAmerica, thank you for your positive wishes, the fatigue is ME and the rest of the Long Covid minus the lung damage but I’ve also has some other blood tests just to check there isn’t anything being missed.
@vulpix I concur, please stay!
@foxandflowers, fingers crossed for a moving date soon.
Beautiful cat @vulpix
@florenceem glad to hear Mr F seems to be a little bit better.
I’m the volunteer school librarian in my youngest two’s school library, I was there today and managed to get quite a bit of admin done, so whilst not a personal frog, it needed doing and I’m glad it’s out of the way. Issued books and tidied up a bit too.
I’d planned to deal with a big frog at home this evening but fell asleep after I’d put the children to bed, so I’ll try and do it in the morning.
I’ve decluttered quite a lot of cake today but nothing else of note 😀
Love to you all xxx

- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I did go out: Left home 12:45 & back 14:15 - having visited the bank + M&S, then bus to pharmacy to pick up BP meds. Another bus to Asda (found 2p - bit of a comedown from the £2 coin I found last time 😂) - posted birthday card & competition entry form & cashed in winning scratch cards then bus home. I updated my accounts. Dinner was lo beef in gravy, mash & fried lo cabbage. Plenty of beef leftover which will be thinly sliced before being bagged & frozen. Wudupa

Morning all - been up since 5.30.
I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep - I think the Neurologists seeing Mr F today was on my mind.
I have my shopping trolley and a bag packed for the charity shop. I plan to pop to Ald. for a bit of shopping on the way home.
It is friendship/lunch club day at SA - I plan to go along but it will depend on whether I get a phone call to go and speak to the Neurology team.
Going to sort some more in my craft room before I go out.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

A quick stop in - Early start today. Looked out to see that roommate hadn't put out the trash cans, so I did. Started working on roommate Di's room - oh my. Fortunately while I was working they picked up the trash, as I had four more large bags to go in. Found out she is coming home tomorrow morning - no they didn't check to see if things are ready for her or there is anyone to help. So I took a world globe to my sister who collects them, took four boxes of books to the library just as another member of the Friends was coming in so he helped me unload the boxes, went to the bank, then bought a mattress for Di (she paid for it, delivered this evening), picked up my prescriptions at the pharmacist, and then went home to make sure I got the mattress swept off (cat litter!) before the new one was delivered. Delivery person helped get the old mattress out and brought the new one in. I still have to make it up before 10 or so tomorrow morning, call for three doctor's appointments, and restart the daily nurse. Would you believe that when I was young the only thing I did not want to be was a nurse or doctor - and yet I have spent the last 35 years taking care of somebody. The best laid plans...
I managed to get some reading time in after dinner only because I refused to go back in the room of doom after dark. Even with the lights on, I don't want to work in there. Then the nursing home called to say that they would be delivering a wheelchair and a commode tomorrow also. Is there a place to put them yet - noooo. Nor is there a way to get the wheelchair down the hall unless it is folded up. Di's stuff is in the way.
I did get to sign up for the Winter Reading program at the library. I get a pair of Anaheim Ducks (hockey team) shoelaces already the next time I go in the library. Will put the Ducks prizes aside for grandniece and grandnephews as they are real fans (more to come if I can keep reading over the next two months). They come over 45 miles to see the games every month or so.
The new fires are south of us. The winds are dying down (15 miles per hour now). Will be warm (24C) tomorrow followed in a few days by possible rain - the first real stuff since July - and temperatures around 10C over the weekend. Don't know what direction it is going to go from there. Don't think we will get snow like Florida and the South is currently doing, but who knows these days.
Hope you are staying dry and warm - and not blowing away. I swear Dorothy flew by with her little dog yesterday. It was that bad. I was afraid to try and drive in it.19 -
I am catching up with posts - love the tips from Daisy_1571 on page 6, found them super helpful! My husband really struggles with organisation and I can use these to help him stop feeling so overwhelmed and tackle his room of doom. And very useful for me too (masking tape for freezer labels - genius!).
Used my working from home lunch break yesterday to eject:- Old pair of broken shoes
- Old bathmat
- Mini whiteboard
- 31 pencils
- Decorative brass trivet
- Pair broken reading glasses
- Novelty corkscrew
- 2 pin badges
- 2 pens
- Wooden box of pencils
- Mount cutter in box
- 2 kitchen utensils
- Silicone loaf tin
- Very old tube of hand cream
Will take to charity what can be reused.
Running total of 31 things ejected this week. Need to buy more black bin bags…19 -
I have sorted out stuff in my craft room ready to leave the house.
Wet here - hope the rain eases soon. I want to keep the donations for the charity shop dry.
I have decided as encouragement - I will keep a weekly record of what comes in to the house and what goes out. We all need help on our decluttering journey - this may be good for me or others. First totals will appear on Sunday.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I keep just about catching up with the thread and then it moves on quickly again!
Eating frogs 🐸 here, which are not my favourite things!I have also sorted some more jumpers to go and will get them washed and dried today, ready for the clothing bank. Although, they have been worn this winter, I just don’t find them comfortable. Given that I won’t allow any more wardrobe, or drawer space, or overspill, they have to go in order for me to have replacements. My jeans that I repaired, have now gone across the knee as the denim is so thin these days. Having said that they must be at least 6 years old and have been worn a lot. I am wondering about taking them apart to make a pattern as I can’t buy the same now. Feels a tad ambitious but nothing to lose if the next repair doesn’t work!
Mrs SD - well done for managing some early getting up sessions. It is really difficult to change sleep patterns so I hope you will accept a 🌟
@vulpix - please don’t have any more thoughts about retiring from the thread. Beautiful cat photos too!
@Florenceem - it is great that you have your journal to back up your discussions with the doctors.@weenancyinAmerica - is there no end to the load that is piled upon you? From over here it feels as though your good will and generous nature are constantly taken advantage of. I hope that some of the other occupants of the house will help with Di coming home. I don’t know what your arrangements and contract is with your roommates but it can’t be that they leave everything to you. I really worry that they are driving you into the ground and not allowing you to look after your own health. Could your sister help with standing up to them? I do apologise for ranting and also send hugs along with my indignation at their behaviour.@Fastfashioncoststheearth - it is so useful that Daisy put that list together. There is definitely a way for everyone to get started with decluttering so I hope something works for your husband. Mine was very resistant and needed encouragement and help but he is more amenable and able to cope with it now.@~FlowerPot~ - good luck with your paintings. I have a couple of abstract paintings and find them very timeless and versatile.17
