~FlowerPot~ said:afternoon lovelies {{{big hugs}}} all round for those who need a little boost.I have finally been in the sudio painting!! woohoo! its been ages and I now have 7 paitnings on the go all at different stages. The studio was 3.5 degees when I went in with the little haolgen heater it got up to 11 at one point, but Ive been in and out through the day so as not to get to cold, although My feet are now quite chilly. Whilst inbetween layers I had a tidy and sort through 43 paintings to go (plus a wodge on paper, not counted!), some on board, canvases or in frames have been bagged up for the charity shop or deposited in the bin. A number have got mold on the backs which is so annoying. Mosty though they are rubbish !!!!! My style has changed. I still have at least another 30 odd which I need to move on / sell if possible. I am working on a larger scale now too, So I need more space!!!Decluttering is now: 179 / 2025

The abstract one is more what I'm currently into, but probably not too many people's taste!Love them both!
I managed to drop off my 2 large black bags at the charity shop yesterday and today, after hopefully getting some sleep, I've planned to go through what's left in my wardrobe after decluttering & selling, and colour coordinate all the clothes. Makes for a much easier & simpler lifestyle and there sure is some space in their now
If I have enough energy left, I hope to pull out all the furniture, with some help, and Spring clean. I do a full deep clean twice a year in Autumn & Spring, but I always dread to think what's lurking and I'm never disappointed

Mrs SD while I read along often on the train to and from work when I read your cheer leading I realise I've forgotten or overlooked some.comment and when you quote fellow declutterai it so.often resonates such as @2Scratters and others.
I realise I've got rid of boxes that would have been useful for packing up dd2s room for decorator. I don't think at some level I thought she'd agree.20 -
I took advantage of having to sort my clothes for packing (am off to Malta today) to sort through them and now have 2 blue IKEA bags for donation, and a smaller heap for Vinted. I also sorted my Christmas stuff before putting it back in the loft so there is a box of baubles for donation in October too.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger is there an itinerary for the Decluttering Train's journey? I can't remember if we ever got to Japan for the cherry blossom last year?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Dizzycap - I like the white flower painting - so much detail.
Up early as I went to bed before 10 - too tired to stay up longer - I had done 10,000 + steps.
I spoke to a nurse yesterday - checked about my phone number - it wasn't on Mr F's records!
Cold overnight but meant to be a tad warmer here today.
I enjoyed having a hot water bottle last night.19 -
Adding a hat and glasses case. Hubby is having a sort out of his spares, and one was nicer than mine so an easy swap. Still only on 13 for the year!Keep reading books!17

@dND - sorry to say this but a new fire has started in Ventura County. In the river bed still and no homes threatened but the winds are gusting at over 70 mile per hour. We have no water in our rivers right now in Southern California. We usually do in winter (not in summer, I used to hike down them then). I was trying to watch the news tonight and halfway through, four of our TV stations suddenly went off the air - don't know if the fire got to the control towers or not. Where did your DS2 and Dil2 live in Sierra Madre? My brother-in-law lived on Alegria near St. Rita's up until he got married and his parents lived there in the house his father built up until about 10 years ago. It is also in the evacuation zone. The family still attend St. Rita's, only had to go to Pasadena last Sunday.
One of our idiot congresspeople (we have quite a number that qualify for that title) said we should seed the clouds to cause rain. We haven't had a cloud anywhere in the sky for months. Great for tourists up till the fires as the weather has been great. Just way too dry. She obviously hasn't been here or hasn't looked at pictures from here either.
Winds are supposed to die down in the next couple of days. I hope so. Not just because of the fires, but I have been chasing cat plates all over the yard and trying to keep the leaves and the weed cuttings out of the pool on top of everything else. We got the trash bins out tonight. Just hoping they don't blow over.
Tried to get help moving some furniture out for pickup tomorrow but I have three wimpy male roommates. One got drunk instead, one went off somewhere with his girlfriend after promising to help, and the other wouldn't even clean the cat box today. I am going around muttering "If it is to be it is up to me" in between calling them a few names. The book sale is Friday so I am going to see if the missionaries can come over and help me move the items out on Saturday. I got the pickup postponed until next week, but I have to get part of it out by Wednesday in case Di comes home from the nursing home then. I have worked out the schedule of appointments, working at the library, classes, and other things to do for the next ten days. Fortunately I can't work at the FamilySearch Center this week as I have no one to be there with me and I am not supposed to be there alone and next Monday is a holiday so no classes. So far this last week, except for moving the furniture out, I have done everything on the schedule - though often not on the day it was initially listed under. Two major frogs need to be eaten this week, in addition to getting the new mattress for Di in. Then I can catch my breathe and hopefully hop on the TLC train. I did have the Lemon-Lime cake from Aldi's tonight - wonderful. Bright spot in my day.
Hope all of you are staying warm and dry. I have been doing the thaw dance for you. We need the winter dance instead. Grass is dead - so are most of the plants. Trying to keep the tree watered so it doesn't fall over. I am still living in t-shirts. Every time I put on a sweater, it get too hot. We need to switch weather. I'd offer to switch politicians too but yours are sounding as bad as ours. Just remembering the Peter Principle, "people rise to the level of their incompetence" which seems to apply to everyone involved in politics.

Morning all. No frost here this morning. Quick post as off to hairdressers and need a shower first. I need to move on to next stage of repairs and decorating but giving myself a few days to recover from last week. I am trying to just have a sort of things that were quickly put away on moving day to see if any can be rooted out to go. DD and DiL put things in drawers and cupboards and I am gradually getting round to checking what is there. They culled kitchen stuff ruthlessly but a quick tidy of drawers found one extra item to go along with some dodgy looking oven cleaner stuck round a corner in cupboard - probably very old. I have plenty of space for things I have kept but may gradually thin out further. Today I will go through some units in dining room end.

Tuesday: I woke up at 08:10 with a bit of a headache so got up, put on fluffy dressing gown & came downstairs for a small cuppa & a short cheerleading session, continuing with posts dated the 12th:
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, snow & icy conditions are not safe to be out in, so I applaud your decision to stay indoors for 3 days 👏 especially as you are able to wfh 🙂 I hope you enjoyed your sm visit & seeing DD1 & family afterwards 😊 Sounds like you have made a great start on decluttering the small bedroom ready for its conversion to an office 👏
QueenJess, sorry to hear that your DD was so ill on Saturday night 😔 although I am pleased to hear that she was a lot better on Sunday 🙂 I see that you made good use of your time - 4 loads of washing & completing a 1000 piece jigsaw 👏 7 hours to drink a g & t must be some sort of record 😉 Hopefully you can properly enjoy your next one in a reasonable amount of time 🤞🙂 Good luck with your plans for the coming week 🍀 but please remember to take some time for yourself 🙏 Now that the staff aboard the EDT realise that I am a bit behind with the cheerleading, they have taken to saving me a portion of everyone’s bakes 😉 - although they did report a minor skirmish with your DS 😂 I am happy to report that the apple & cinnamon crumble with lashings of custard was delicious 🤤
Duchess2, This “Well done on your early rising …………….. Normal service returns today 🤭 (Sunday) had me giggling as well 🤭 Nothing wrong with having a quiet Sunday & certainly nothing wrong with popping into the TLC carriage to sample the hm goodies on offer 😊 I will keep my fingers crossed that your ‘mojo’ returns from its short break 🤞 so that you can enjoy the rest of Jettison January & plan for Fling-It February 😊
Brie, thank you for such a supportive, empathetic & informative post 🥹 I am adding cwtches to your offerings of “hugs, prayers, thoughts” for Florenceem to choose from 😊
A short visit as I have finished my cuppa & my headache is gone without having to resort to tablets 🎉 I am going back to bed 😉 I hope the early risers are having as good a morning as possible 🤞 See you all later 👋

Decluttered a sizeable frog this morning by finally doing my 2024 financial summary, and tidying up enough data to put it into a nice neat table. Frankly horrified at how much money was wasted last year.
Hoping the warranty related frog will be eaten by this time tomorrow and our van will be back on the road by Friday.
Thoughts are with everyone today, particularly those affected by wildfires, and our own Florenceem. Really hoping everyone stays safe and remembers to look after themselves.❀ debt at highest point: £51,062.14 ❀❁ currently - £32,019.56 ❁ emergency fund - £252.66/£500 ❁----------------------------------------------------------------------

@weenancyinAmerica Woke this morning to a message from my son to say that the fire was about 2 miles away but they currently are in no danger. We're all watching its progression like a hawk though. In Sierra Madre they were on Monte Vista, just off W Orange Grove. I think we're all hoping that the winds hold off; rain would be nice too. I have the opposite problem today, I'm waiting for the rain to stop so I can get on with some outside work.
Everyone is so busy it's hard to keep up with this train 😁 I do have a smile on my face today though, the first of my snowdrops that I planted last autumn is about to flower. I had 3 different varieties so I planted 1 of each in their own pots, for identification purposes, and it's one of those that is opening.
Have a good day everyone. DxAiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade BudgetDECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN
