Not really achieved much so far because lots of meetings and DGCs all week. My desk seems to be covered in papers and things that need doing so thats a challenge for the next few days. I managed to start a Christmas list - Mainly just a note of stocking gifts as they all get money. I managed to put together a quiz for tomorrow of things related to 5th November. Other than the obvious it was quite hard to identify 10 questions. My youngest DB was 70 today and number 2 brother (I had 4) would have been 80 tomorrow. DGS2 was 20 today as well. It all makes me feel so old. I managed to get hair done and went into town for a meeting before collecting DGCs from school so not much else done.
Sox is not sure about the fireworks - he seems confused more than frightened. I kept him in but just took a walk round garden with him as he was miaowing at door to go out. I bought him back in after a few minutes as he seemed anxious. He has a litter tray if he really needs it. I managed to pour a cup of hot tea all over the blanket he likes to sleep on in chair by window (ignoring 3 lovely cat beds) so I put another fleece blanket on the chair - he is now settled on that for the night.
1052 Meeting papers for next week sorted
1053 Yet more emails processed
1054 Locksmith booked for Friday as outer porch door can't be locked from inside
1055 Quiz printed off for tomorrow.
1056 More tomatoes to DS2 - I think the plants are coming to an end now
Tomorrow there is quiz and DS2 is hoping to come and put second bedside table together if he finishes work on time. I need to go up in loft but not looking forward to it.2025 Decluttering Campaign 1056/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅🏅) 🌟🌟🌟

Wednesday started bright & sunny with a forecast high of 17°C, low of 15°C & only feeling 3° colder due to the wind. DH has been a busy bee - filled the bird feeders, shared the pumpkins between 2 wormeries & 2 compost bins + has made an hodge-podge soup. My mojo is still missing 😞 but I will soon have no excuse as the Sudoku book is nearly finished 😉 Dinner was ham, egg, chips & baked beans. Wudupa. I had a quick bath & will now do a bit of cheerleading whilst my hair dries. Starting from November 1st
2055 - 2057 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, plastic bottle - recycled
2058 Kitchen detritus - binned
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 This “I have one set of covers but promised DGD4 she can choose another set as she sleeps in there most.” is a lovely thing to do 😊 Fingers crossed that Sox wasn’t too distressed when you got home 🤞
Excellent decluttering suzeesu2000 👏 Well done on taking your time & pacing yourself 👏
London_1, now that is what I call forward planning - starting to create space in the freezer for Christmas food 👏 Shame about needing to donate your crochet equipment 😞 Hopefully someone will buy as a Christmas present 😊
TC77, sorry to hear that you are feeling exhausted 😔 so well done on keeping up with the decluttering 👏 last 1/11/25
Yippee, starting the cheerleading for posts dated 2nd November 🙂
CRANKY40, sorry to hear that your DS has been so badly let down by his uni 😔 Excellent decluttering in October 👏 a medal 🏅 is on its way. Happy 21st to your DS 🥳 🎂 🎉, hope he has a great day whatever he decides to do 😊
Excellent work TC77 👏 you must be pleased that you are noticing a reduction in food stocks 😊 Hope DB enjoys his stay & notices how much work you have done with your decluttering 🙏
vulpix, what a lovely looking room 😻 I think the placement of the vent would irritate me too 😥 & of course once you notice it you cannot unsee it however much you try ☹️ Hopefully your builder will get the two specified jobs done before Christmas 🤞 Although I am pleased to hear that the bigger building jobs are now in ‘his queue’ 😊 How lovely that DD1 is keen to help out ☺️ I loved This “Now we have extra muscle I want to unearth a built in desk in the dining room and dismantle it so that a chest of drawers that Mr V has renovated, currently in the hall, can go in the alcove. I have bought a little oak cupboard for £30. I would like to transfer the telly onto it. Telly currently on the old sewing machine table. The oak cupboard can house my craft things then I can declutter a massive green Amazon storage bag. It's like jenga. It takes a lot of planning.” especially the underlined bit 😊
Green_hopeful, so sorry to hear about your cat 😢 Hopefully this is the last op & your cat can start her recovery 🙏 The doughnut collar does look rather cute 😊
Caught up a little but am nodding off, so will post & head to bed. Sleep tight 😴

Thanks for the medal and the birthday wishes for ds MrsS_D.
Mycousin came to visit yesterday and took some of the yarn stash and a few other bits home with her as she is learning to crochet. Total of items out so far in November is 20.
There won't be any decluttering other than yarn to make things today as even though it's reading week ds has to go into uni for a couple of hours so I'll give him a lift then crochet in the car whilst I wait for him.
