- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Friday continued: the new filter kettle has already been delivered 🥳 I have done some knitting - now about 2/3rds through a 3rd hat. Watched Countdown & even got a nine letter word 🙂 Then succumbed to watching a couple of episodes of GoT. However, I did put the shopping & have done most of the preparation for my birthday dinner - we are having steak, fried onions, oven chips, baked mushrooms & tomatoes & peas 🤤. Accompanied by a glass or two of watered down red wine for me 😉 Just as we finished dinner, my nephew T phoned from France to wish me a Happy Birthday 🥹 About an hour & a half later we had a slice of chocolate cake 😋 Wudupa. Did have some rain late evening.

I know it is out of sync with my cheerleading but thank you all for your lovely birthday wishes 🥹
Recommencing the cheerleading from posts dated 3rd November:
Green_hopeful, pleased to hear that your cat is on the mend 😊 Loved This “I quite liked getting rid of our bedding. I just kept one set for each bed and a couple for our bed and got rid of the rest. They were quite popular when we freecycled them.” 👏
vulpix, with the amount of work that & MrV + DD have done, it almost seems like you have been in your new house for two months not just 2 weeks 🤩 Fingers crossed that you find the passports very soon 🤞Excellent decision re the curtains ☺️ I am sure that you will find suitable curtains in a CS or maybe online 😊 This “Great commotion and fanfare last evening in the front garden. Fluffy introducing herself to a neighbour cat!” made me smile 😃 so pleased to hear that Fluffy is making her presence felt 😊 More excellent work both cleaning, sorting & dealing with frogs 👏 Loved the ‘emergency collar’ for DD’s cat ☺️
Green_hopeful, nice to hear that the vet is pleased with your cat’s progress 🥹
Willowtree222, my mojo seems to have made its way to you 😉 Great work decluttering & finding homes for the kitchen clutter 👏 One medal🏅 on its way.
Brie, This “Art class today and I asked what people thought of having musical instruments as a subject. Said I could take some pictures of my recorders, possibly with a backdrop and with a couple of other musical items we have and see what's possible. Art teacher was intrigued by the idea and suggested a collage of sheet music as a back drop. Normally we do landscapes, botanicals, still life with fruit etc so this would be a complete departure. I'm sure I don't have the skill to do it justice but it's worth a try.” sounds like a wonderful idea ☺️
Soontobeoap, excellent work sorting out your kitchen 👏 definitely a good days work worthy of a medal 🏅 which is on its way. Love the elf people 🥹 wish I lived on the IoW ☺️
Excellent work suzeesu2000 👏 Well done on finishing the sort out under the bed & reducing your craft stash by such a huge amount 👏 Another one of our Declutterati family who had a great Monday ☺️
Excellent decluttering Happy_Kitties 👏 both of general & neutral items 🥳 Perhaps you could send some of your decluttering mojo my way 🙏
Great work GrannyKate 👏 Hopefully Sox will soon start being less clingy 🤞provided you don’t leave him on his own too much ☺️
oceanspirit, good work reducing your reading pile 👏 Good luck with the bedroom tidying 🍀
Well I have caught up with the posts dated the 3rd, so seems an ideal time to stop. Sleep tight everyone 😴

Good morning
Happy birthday @Mrs_Salad_Dodger and happy belated birthday to anyone i might have missed.
I have been reading along but my memory and concentration is shocking at the minute.
It's been a busy few weeks and not much decluttered but DD2 is finally in her room! Still lots to come down but weve been sorting through it upstairs before it comes down to her room. Not much really to go as she wont part with anything but lots of rubbish out.
We have bought in lots of things. My niece had a kitten last week. It has been DD3s dream to have a British shorthair. Once she saw the picture of Dnieces cat, she hasn't stopped asking (we always said no because of the dogs) well she's bought all the stuff herself and then searched for her kitten. While searching she found a British longhair and fell in love. BUT it didn't stop there. While going to look at her, DS1 fell in love with another kitten they had from a different mum, so she ended up coming home with us too. THEN DD2 complained that I wouldn't let her have a puppy. I explained that I couldn't cope with a puppy learning to howl at everything like our little dog does so she decided she was having an axolotl!
They've all bought everything themselves and so far taking care of them themselves but definitely more chaos to my already chaotic life.
Will be back later with the list of things thats left DD2 room but I better go get her up as she has show rehearsal this afternoon.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Hi Peeps,
I have finally landed back where I belong. I have been detained in real life of procrastination, loosing our dad unexpectedly in July at age 94. He was poorly but passed the night before the day he was being discharged from hospital. Been doing decluttering from parents apartment/flat, it is so much easier when they are still with us. Stuff from their house from last year that I brought to mine I had a cull of some. I managed 2 car boot sales which generated some recycled monies. I had left them in DH's van as I had refused to bring back into the house which I managed to stick to my guns about and rid the rest off to the CS shops. I did feel so proud of myself. I am also finding it less painful of letting items go and being more objective about it.
The kitchen extension is not happening now. Money wasted
on the planning applications. All is not lost though we have had demolished the wall between the back bedroom and kitchen and now sort of/will have a dining kitchen. Windows have been created/made smaller and bi-fold doors inserted. It will be lovely eventually. DH is still insistent in trying to save money on jobs
yet his health or lack of he is not registering so is taking too long for my liking (still moving forward though). We will be replacing the whole floor including joists as there is woodworm. That wood will be used to help heat the house over winter so less to be thrown out or tipped. Half the kitchen is in the living room and some in the workshop/shed. This has helped keeping grocery spends down as we need to tidy up our excesses as they are living in places they should not be. Utensils are stored outside in a large storage box. We had nearly emptied the small chest freezer but is now half full again of HG fruit and bits of stuff from TGTG collections.
The lady kitchen designer has had to let us down this past week 2 times due to her children being poorly and then herself catching what they have had. Fingers crossed for next week. I am desperate for some inspiration. We do have an idea of what we are after and needing.
Looking forward to having a week away in Tenerife at the end of the month with the girl friends. I have also managed to declutter 7lb yay! go me
Have a good weekend

Kitten pics on below. No axolotl pictures yet. It's all payed for but she's got to set the tak up before it can come home, between 2-4 weeks to 'cycle' and she only set it up Thursday. Shes getting very impatient and wants it to be ready now. Both kittens have taken to sleeping in the washing so id be mean putting it away 🤣. Tge crate was for the first few nights as we weren't sure how the dogs would be but they're absolutely fine and just want to play
DH has took DD2 to rehearsal so just having a cup of tea.
