Thank you for all the good wishes for my poorly cat. We have taken off the collar while we are with her so she is more comfortable now. She doesn’t really mind it but obviously it’s more comfortable without it.Grannykate Mr Sox looks exhausted by all your hard work. I quite liked getting rid of our bedding. I just kept one set for each bed and a couple for our bed and got rid of the rest. They were quite popular when we freecycled them.12

Brie, Fomo is on the way. Tuna is his fave.
Mmmm pumpkin scones.
Your house is looking lovely Granny kate.
Pic is DD1's cat with an emergency collar after the cat had been bitten and wouldn't leave the stitches alone. Did the trick for a few hours till she got a proper collar.
I am living with the window seat for a bit. I may still take it out yet. I forget we have only been here 2 weeks. I will wait until the blue feature wall is gone along with the big mahogany mantle and gas fire. It’s dark but not in a cozy way.I was looking for my sitting room mirror amongst all the stuff in the dining room. I think it has been left on the wall at the old house! Still not found my dressing gown and more importantly our passports. We go away soon.
The massive Amazon delivery bag has gone to Mr V’s work. Lots of previous owners stuff in the bin.
Curtains coraled and assessed last night. My old sitting room curtains are now up at the front door. Sadly some gifted curtains will have to go. Each curtain is 12 ft wide and 6 ft drop. I could unpick them and remake but I vowed not to make curtains again. The fabric is so heavy. No I will pass. Saved a door curtain. Don't know why, it wont fit anywhere here. Still need curtains for the patio door and one of the bedrooms.
Great commotion and fanfare last evening in the front garden. Fluffy introducing herself to a neighbour cat!Today’s 🐸 frogs. Some change of address phone calls. We couldn’t navigate some places online forms.Running repairs on a few picture frames.More finding homes for stuff
take the wall shelves out in the dining room.Look in the shed for any boxes of inside stuff
take down the old curtain track in the bay window.
remove the toilet roll holder and soap dish in the down stairs loo.Possibly another tip run and chazzer drop off.
CLEAN THE OVEN AGAIN, I have been procrastinating over this too long.
Finding homes for stuff is a very big job. I really don't want to unpack loads of kitchen stuff yet, or ornaments. Although the kitchen has been scrubbed by LCL it still feels grim. I think it's the floor. Floor boards but not in a chic way, more like a can't finish them properly or clean them, ever, way.

For goodness sake! Having photo issues.

Vulpix that collar is great. Seems to be doing the job as well. We have some cones of shame in the garage but it would probably take me half a day to get to them.My cat had a check up today and the vet was very pleased with her wound and progress. She has barely any skin left after all her ops so the vet struggled to close up the wound during the operation. Anyways another 10 days and she gets her stitches out.17

That is good news.xxxGreen_hopeful said:My cat had a check up today and the vet was very pleased with her wound and progress.
What lovely pics of all the cats.

Afternoon, hope everyone is ok.
Not sure what came over me today, but I found motivation and sorted out the downstairs cupboard and some kitchen cupboards. Lots moved around once space was created and loads of boxes emptied and binned. I also found space for all the clutter that was on the kitchen table so have finally reclaimed it again.
Two big frogs started to be dealt with too.
Everything looks so much tidier and has a home. There's always loads to do still, but happy with the progress.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x15 -
I'll make sure the cat flap is unlocked. Currently it's set to not let intruders in (foxes as well as cats) but will allow those that do gain access to leave (just in case).vulpix said:Brie, Fomo is on the way. Tuna is his fave.
Art class today and I asked what people thought of having musical instruments as a subject. Said I could take some pictures of my recorders, possibly with a backdrop and with a couple of other musical items we have and see what's possible. Art teacher was intrigued by the idea and suggested a collage of sheet music as a back drop. Normally we do landscapes, botanicals, still life with fruit etc so this would be a complete departure. I'm sure I don't have the skill to do it justice but it's worth a try.

Well I had a sudden urge to have a busy clean up hour and a half in the kitchen. Cleared off all rubbish from window sill including a compost box that I never use. Filled dehumidifiers with crystals to beat all of the condensation before it takes hold. Cleared off work tops putting away a lot of things in their right places as well as throwing out an out of date hot choc. Took 3 wrapped and ready hampers to community club for raffle. Emptied the house of 120 little elf people that the craft club will be hiding around the island over the next few weeks for people to find. ( Random acts of kindness). Hoovered and wiped down all surfaces. It's been a very good day.🙂

Monday: high 16°C, low 8°C but feels 5° colder due to wind. Dry until 16:00 when the rain started. DH has put peanuts in the pumpkins & put them out in the back garden. DH had noticed that one side light bulb on the GoldWing had blown, so replaced that this p.m. as he is taking it in for its MOT tomorrow. DSis had a doctor’s appointment re her COPD & he was pleased with her progress. Meanwhile I am just in a funk for no particular reason so have been doing even more Sudoku & falling further behind with the cheerleading 😔 So I will make a start with posts dated 31st October - wish me luck 🍀🙏
vulpix, great work by MrV & his mate 😊 so pleased to hear that you are leaving the ladder climbing to others 😉 It sounds like you are settling in really quickly & getting things organised 🤩 Also very impressed that you are sticking to your £100 per room budget 👏🥳 I hadn’t realised that the previous owner hadn’t taken all her stuff 😞 more work for you 😖 Hopefully your son will turn up a bit earlier & help with some furniture moving 🤞This “…. I will get her some real ones (flowers) for when she comes next week. She is quite enjoying having some good gritty cleaning to get her teeth into. Wait till she sees the downstairs loo !!!! Not the loo itself, just the grim paintwork and peeling radiator... and pipes. Pipes everywhere. Far more pipes than a very small room should have on show!” did make me smile 😊
GrannyKate, very impressive work completely redoing 3 of 6 rooms in less than a year 🤩 Excellent decluttering - you have reached another milestone so a Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 👏 Pleased to hear that you had a lovely time with DGD2 staying 😊 Good luck with the frogs 🍀
Green_hopeful, beautifully decorated room 😍I love that the colour of the extra strip of fabric complements both the curtains & the chairs 😊
London_1, I love that you are making it your mission to use independently owned shops 😊
suzeesu2000 sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed Friday despite the torrential rain 😉 I hope Saturday’s plan to continue sorting under the bed came to fruition 🤞Or perhaps Frankie decided that you needed to spend more time playing with him 😂
diminua, now that is what I call a tomato plant 🤩 Hopefully you will get some more spontaneously generating plants next year as well 😉 I will keep my fingers crossed that the plant stays green & will sub for a Christmas tree 🤞
Excellent decluttering Happy_Kitties 👏
One page caught up 🙂 Now it is dinner time so will be back later 🤞

Are you on the island as well? I made a load of these dolls a couple of years ago, what a pain sewing them all up was, mine had separate arms! Donated to Police as Trauma Teddies for children. Had nice letters back saying thank you too.Soontobeoap said:Well I had a sudden urge to have a busy clean up hour and a half in the kitchen. Been a decent day weather wise, bit of a drizzle earlier and I’ve just noticed the breeze, all fine though, nothing dramatic.
I finished under the bed an hour or so ago. Managed a bit Saturday and again Sunday. Before I even got dressed this morning, I put the four remaining tote boxes on the bed to sort through. Managed to declutter enough that I emptied three totes! Am only keeping fabric I will definitely use, no more hoarding it “just in case”. Put all the stuff that’s going into 3 bags and managed to get them downstairs, all stacked in sitting room waiting for CS to collect.Did last tote and got all into a crate so that’s all 4 empty. I found I have enough elastic for the petticoats, nightdresses and skirts I want to make as well.I have one tote now with all the stuff I’m, hopefully, selling. When that’s gone, I can put the bedside cabinet where it should be next to the bed.Dinner was freezer and fridge both.
Gots lots of other jobs done today so Monday has been productive.
Have a great evening all, sweet dreams xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal
