- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
As I was on a roll I thought I would do a bit more cheerleading. Still replying to posts dated the 5th January:
WickedLady4, what a great suggestion about decluttering Christmas cards & wreaths 👏
QueenJess, another great suggestion 👏 Does this mean that Christmas cards become Christmas postcards?

Not much decluttering going on but I tried yorkshire tea the other day which was jam and toast flavour which was amazing! So I've picked up caramelised biscuit to try!18 -
So happy that you have got good news.You and your family, especially your mum must be so relieved.
A good day today, both for you and for @Florenceem and MrF who have now some medical attention.
Big hugs for all who would like one, and take care everyone affected by the bad weather in the UK.20 -

@BlueJ94 oh yes, I know stroopwafels 😁
@Muddy_Walker such good news about your mum. You must both be so relieved.
Today's declutter tally was 15. Three from my son's room, seven from my bedroom and five from the living room. I'm mostly looking for stuff to donate now as that can be bagged up and put into the car until it's safe to go out. Our general rubbish bin was emptied early five days before Christmas and should have been emptied today but it's too dangerous to send the bin lorries out so it's full to the brim.18 -
@QueenJess
Get well soon
@BlueJ94
I lurve stroopwafels, but I can't eat them anymore, so that picture is unintentionally cruel! 😭🤪A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

@Muddy_Walker - such good news 🥂 🎉
@daisy_1571 - I just love the Sindy wardrobe! I had a Sindy too but she ended up being passed down to my sisters.
Mrs SD - I am the same regarding being better with a more empty fridge.
Florenceem - It does seem that things are starting to move now. I hope the picture becomes clearer and, more importantly, you both have some help.A very cold and wet day has meant that, apart from dog walks, I have been indoors. Housework and laundry catch up, processing mail, paying bills and filing. More using up of food for meals. I did light the fire and curled up and read my book for a couple of hours this afternoon.18 -
@daisy_1571 I still have my Cindy horses but I think I might have Cindy too. I have 2 tea chests that have all my childhood stuff and also lots of college work too. Once the weather is better and the garage is warmer I have to go through them. Oh I have my Britains horses and stable too. Can you tell I'm a horsey person lol. After moving so far my idea of bliss is just to be able to hug a horse but scared that if I do it then I will crave another horse.
@Florenceem I'm glad that now you have medical help and echo you need to look after yourself as well as Mr F. I know you will find the right solution for both of you.
2 long work days decluttered - I start at 5am and finish at 5.30pm hard work but satisfying with my workout in the morning then my brainwork after.
Tomorrow I'm going to bake some bread and really start to sort my diet out as I feel tired with eating too much carp no matter how good it tastes

Thank you Mrs SD for my gold star, I shall treasure it.
20 items out to the CS today, and I have finished 2 baby hats, so that's one small ball of wool decluttered as well. Have to go across town to where the hospital is in two weeks, so setting myself a target of 10 hats to drop off then.
Tomorrow my plan is to tackle the kitchen items, we appear to have a lot of odds mugs and stray teaspoons etc so going to purge those. Work gave me a £50 M&S voucher for Xmas, so I may invest that in some matching cutlery for the new house; normally Aldi is more my budget. And somewhere in the boxes is a potato masher of doom which used to wedge my drawers shut at least once a week, I was planning to cull it pre move but DP helpfully packed that section so I shall hunt it down and gleefully lob it in the dustbin.
Happy decluttering this week to all2025 in 2025- 2027/2025
