Hope something gets sorted ,you can’t carry o like this Florenceem .
I was also wondering if it was something to do with any new medication ,also ow is the cellulitis now ?I’m sure you’ll have a list of all current and recent medications and hopefully the team will be able to access his GP records
like everyone else I’m thinking of you xx19 -
I hope the medics turn up soon @Florenceem. The deteriation in Mr F is far too bad and too sudden to be normal. I hope they investigate thoroughly. You can't be carrying him round the house.
Wednesdays are usually the day that I make packed lunch for a friend and myself and then trundle off to his house to have lunch and do a bit in his garden. I am staying home today because the road outside is like glass - the left over snow has frozen and it's very slippy. Even if I can get the car off the drive I'm not sure I would manage to get it back on.
Laundry and housework with a side of decluttering today then.Take care all of you 😊19 -
Lovely nurse has just been here. I told her what was happening and before we went into the bedroom - she said Dementia.
Nurse could see that the Dr had requested a head mri with ? alzheimers/dementia on it.
She looked at his leg - no Cellulitis - just the markings from previous bouts.
Nurse told me to phone my dr's surgery and ask for the frailty team. So I did that and am waiting to hear from them.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hugs @Florenceem. I'm sure that there's no judgement about you not coping, they are realists and while we may not think we've aged our bodies certainly have. As you yourself have said, you can't lift/carry Mr F and that's probably what they were looking at.
Like everyone else my fingers are crossed for a speedy positive sorting out of what the problem is and help with whatever the outcome.Aiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

Other times I think he may need residential care but he is only 72. What would people think if I put him into a home. Just so hard knowing what path to follow...
Please don't worry about what people might think - it is not their husband / father / uncle so it is none of their business.
ETA just caught up & seen that you've had some medical support - hopefully this is the start of something beneficial for both of you xx2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Engagement cards all burnt this morning. A selection of personal letters read and I thought they can go too. I hear you oceanspirit, there are times when its nice to still have these kinds of links to our past. I think I might keep two of his letters to me as a sample. That won't take up a full box like they currently do lol. Lots of the letters reference the current issues we were having so I don't want reminders of that, but it was lovely reading how in love we were. That however hasn't changed lol, we still like each other to a sickening extent for such an old married couple 😆 😂
I have now looked through this
. My Sindy wardrobe made for me one Xmas by my lovely mum and dad. Look at her lovely clothes 😍
Only problem is.....no Sindy doll any more. That is definitely staying around for a while even without Sindy.
School books looked through and will go on the fire too. Nothing there worth keeping for posterity.
Onwards and upwards friends
