Had a couple of silly offers for an art deco armchair we won't need, and I've got fed up. It can go to a local charity rather than sell to time wasters.

I hope you didn't have any bruises Mrs SD after your tumble, it's the type of thing I do 🙂 enjoy the rest of your trip, hopefully with better hotel rooms.
I think my sinuses are playing up as I woke up earlier hours of Monday with my tinnitus on loud and deaf in my right ear so a loud deafness! lack of sleep other than a long doze yesterday afternoon has meant I haven't done any work on the clutter other than a lot of emails and some recorded TV. I've finished a book as well but seeing as it is a kindle one it doesn't count.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin13 -

I hope everyone is doing ok
All good here just been a little busy with babyface, wildlife, the garden, having my main bathroom stripped out next week and having a hallway full of a brand new bathroom suit for my physical needs which I got a huge 85% reduction on as it was ex-display and had been on display for 2 weeks with no one even touching it, complete with all brand new unused fittingsI've also continued with the deluttering sales with 150 items left to sell & hopefully, I'm done!
You can only imagine what the hallway has looked like for the past 3 weeks!
It really does look as though I'm moving out and taking the bathroom suit with me!
Babyface is as gorgeous as ever! We've been having very early 4.30-5am longish walks before it gets too hot at 7am and another late at nightWe've also been playing sniffer hunting games with my home made treats in packages & digging & swimming in the garden, along with mental stimulation games in doors through the hot day - She's absolutely full of it & really living life to the full
I wouldn't have it any other way
Disaster on the cygnets frontOnly the 2 kings survived, but it was to be expected. 3 hatched a week after the kings and just didn't have the energy to keep up; even with lots of human intervention & feeding help, and then the female just broke & burried the other 3 remaining eggs, so something wasn't right, obviously!
The 4 fox cubs which are now huge are coming along nicely, although there was an issue with one who got a leg injury which got infected, but all sorted nowTime to potter off & I hope to post at some point soon xxxx Ta-ta for now xxxxYou should see the piles of food that get left in the porch early in the morning which all goes out at 10pm - It looks like I'm running a hotel / bed & brekfast
The noise of excitement when they come for their feed, is second to none

Tuesday cont’d: my mistake re the weather - it had rained earlier & the pavement & road were wet. However by the time we went down to breakfast (taking everything with us, *as we were too lazy to go back up again* 😔) the rain had stopped & it was just overcast & chilly. DH had a full Scottish breakfast whilst I had 2 boiled eggs + toast & marmalade. Juice & coffee for both of us. Whilst DH loaded a couple of bags into the bike & then he headed off to get the first landmark of the day, I paid the dinner & drinks bill. Also advised the receptionist of the issues with our room which he made a note of. I did also state the good points in that the food was excellent & the staff were friendly & efficient 😊 DH got back about 20 mins later & we loaded the rest of our belongings into the bike & headed off about 10:35. Very overcast, drizzly & chilly but we only had 5 minutes of proper rain up to 13:00, then a 2 hour spell with some blue skies & sunshine & slightly warmer. The first part of our journey was on the A702 with lots of wonderful scenery & twisty roads. Stopped in Greenock (14:00) to fill up with petrol + had coffee & cake in a Star…ks. Met another biker with a thick Glaswegian accent & chatted for about 20 minutes. Then set off again towards Inveraray. We had to use the Rest & Be Thankful Military Road in convoy. Arrived at our hotel, The Inveraray Inn at 16:00, found a parking space in front of the hotel & when we checked in we discovered we had been upgraded to a room with a view of the Loch (see pic)
& fortuitously a view of the bike 😊 We both had a shower & got changed going downstairs for dinner at 18:45 We sat outside with a drink as it was such a pleasant evening before going indoors to dine. DH had crayfish bisque with cheese covered croutons - it was delicious 😋 whilst I had leek & potato soup which although very tasty was not as tasty as the bisque. We then both had the daily special - venison, bacon & carrot stew with boiled (skin on) new potatoes. Oh my goodness, words cannot describe how delicious it was 🤤 😋 & the service was impeccable 🥹 Back in our room by 21:00 where DH listened to a podcast & I watched Midsomer Murders. Now time to catch up with the cheerleading:
Brie, hopefully you can get the “someone who shall not be named” to do the heavy lifting (as a penance for making a mess 😉) 🤞Well done on getting the weeding done 👏 but boo & ouch to the irritated hand. I will keep my fingers crossed that you can find a new gardener very soon 🤞
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏
Florenceem, you certainly had a very tiring Sunday 😥 No wonder you managed a nine hour sleep. Hopefully the next couple of days will be a bit quieter & you can pop into the TLC Carriage for a cuppa & a slice of cake 😊
YBR, I hadn’t quite expected you to do that many steps - 20,000 a day 🤩 Your Mum is a ‘card’ 😅 any chance of just saying yes then you immediately reallocating said items 🤔 Excellent work decluttering books & getting started on ‘cooking the frog’ 👏
Excellent decluttering of craft stuff Florenceem 👏 So great that it is going to such a wonderful new home 🥳 Will continue to keep my fingers crossed that your granddaughter gets a job before the new term starts🤞 Also well done on decluttering another bag of stuff 👏
oceanspirit, great work sorting out “matters arising” from the weekend clear out 👏
weenancy, I feel more foolish than hurt 😉 although definitely thanking my lucky stars that I didn’t injure myself 😊 Your comment “Attacked by your hotel room - most unfair.” did make me smile 😃
TC77, sorry to hear that you are not sleeping well 😔 I hope that the funeral & celebration of your aunt’s life went well 🙏
Wednesday2000, I do hope you enjoyed your trip to Brighton despite the sauna-like Airbnb room 🤞
Soontobeoap, yippee to the sale of garden furniture 🥳 Hopefully you can recover most of the cost of the steamer once you have finished with it 🤞
Florenceem, I am being especially careful now 😉 Another busy day for you 👏 which probably felt longer as you didn’t get a good night’s rest 😔 This “I saw a woman standing outside the gents toilets and then a lady came out - apparently - the ladies is closed. I would have to be desperate to go in the gents!” did bring a shudder 😥
Well done Willowtree222 👏 the encouragement worked 😂😉
YBR, great work packing & organising for your house move 👏 Your daughters should count themselves lucky that you haven’t designated them Slytherin or Hufflepuff 🤣 Good for you deciding to donate the art deco armchair to the CS 😊 like you I cannot abide time wasters 😠
Florenceem, I know that Dizzycap has been very busy lately. However, she did post on 16th June 😊 & hopefully when things calm down a little Dizzycap will post a little more often 🥹
Brambling, somehow I managed to get a bruise just below my kneecap which is odd as I landed flat on my back 🤨 Tonight’s room in Inveraray is brilliant with plenty of space, no nasty smells & a pleasant room temperature 👏 Sorry to hear This “I think my sinuses are playing up as I woke up earlier hours of Monday with my tinnitus on loud and deaf in my right ear so a loud deafness” 😥 Decluttering emails & TV programmes is still decluttering 👏
Floss, I will have to remember the colour coding tip, should I ever move 🙂
Dizzycap, so lovely to see you 🥹 Great news about the bathroom suite & fittings discount 🥳 & with the proceeds from your sales hopefully it means that the cost of having the old bathroom stripped out & the new one installed will not break the bank 🙏 So pleased to hear that Babyface is so happy 😁 & has you so well trained 😉 Just wondering if she still likes the nearby laundromat 😉 So sorry to hear about the remaining cygnets 😔 although it does sound like Mr & Mrs Swan have their work cut out looking after the 2 Kings 😊 I am very pleased to hear how well the fox cubs are doing 🥹 Does Babyface ignore them now or does she still show her displeasure by barking wildly & letting them know who is the boss 🙊 Again it is so lovely to see you 👋
All caught up so I will post & get ready for bed. Sleep tight everyone 😴 P.S. tomorrow we are heading off to Mallaig.

Mrs SD, loving reading about your trip, no not the one in the hotel room (although I hope you are not too bruised). OH and I loved the Galloway forest when we stayed there a few years ago.
No decluttering yesterday but several important things done which is just as satisfying. OH is out this morning so a good chance of getting through my list.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅13
