Not too much done today as busy working on family tree again, only been doing it since 1996.
Got rid of an enormous blanket thing, so heavy and so happy it’s gone. Plus two big bags of knitted squares gone as well.Tomorrow I have a ton of medicines to put in their proper places and old ones to be rid of so hopefully will get that all done.
Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend and looking forward to a good week xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Hi all ,still reading along and still totally amazed at what you all pack into your days. I’m still declutterimg but it’s been in small bursts over the last few weeks.
I’ve declutterred a holiday, several doctor and dental appointments but have collected hospital appointments. Hopefully they’ll be gone by the end of July.
i was watching TV last night and my eyes strayed to the drawers on the TV unit. I’d forgotten about them and I’m sure they’re filled with old DVDs and cables (for those just in case moments ha). That’s today’s job once I’ve had another coffee 😁14 -
One pair of big crushed velvet curtains and 4 crushed velvet cushion covers gone so far today. Also decluttered some marks on my light beige ottoman in the bay window - no one sits on it so can only assume my kitty has dirty feet as he jumps on it to reach the window sill, think I'll get him some slippers!!Have a good Monday all xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

still trying to declutter the holiday unpacking from the front room. Thankfully the place we last stayed in on our travels had a very nice HUGE washer and drier so except a very small portion of things everything was packed clean. It would be best to simply unload the bags directly into drawers but the bags are huge and heave and the drawers are (almost exclusively) upstairs. So it's going to need to be done in bits. Not helped by someone who shall not be named opening various bits and leaving garbage behind simply cluttering the place. I'll be telling (not asking) to empty the bin shortly so there's room for whatever other garbage I find.
And looked out the window this morning and marvelled at the lovely flowers all over the shrubs in the front garden. All clingweed of course. I do like the way it looks in flower but it's so invasive. So everything I could read has now been decluttered into the bin waiting for Friday morning to be sent off to it's final resting place. Managed to grab a very prickly weed as well so now I've got a very irritated hand. Shame the gardener has also decluttered himself as I'd try to get him over to sort things for me properly. Must try and find a new one that suits, sooner rather than later.....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. 22/52 - section B of my filing cabinet rationalised and papers recycled and a towel demoted to the dog towel pile.
23/52 - a flimsy little wooden filing cabinet out to the bin.
24/52 - the items from above filing cabinet recycled or binned. Items seem to be from 2001 so have followed me to multiple houses through the years.13 -
I had a long tiring day yesterday.
I went to Church in the morning by myself. Mr F was in his usual place.
I came home and cooked our meal. Then we went to SA at 3pm to board the mini bus to Maidstone for the divisional service.
It was a good service - we got home gone 8 so it was some food and a rest before bed.
I slept for 9 hours!
Today I packed my shopping trolley with stuff for the charity shop.
Mr F and I took it into town.

Back on the decluttering wagon today after the Download festival - @Mrs_Salad_Dodger as you predicted I did a lot of steps, around 60K steps over the 3 days when my average is close to 5K per day. I was a bit stiff this morning but it didn't last too long!Mum called 3 times today "offering" stuff she wants to declutter, she's certain we need sticky-backed neoprene (30+ years old) and her old spare bed-linen and I can't remember what. Her decluttering can be efficiently brutal, but we're on the receiving end of her wanting to re-clutter rather than dispose of stuff, when we're moving to a smaller place ourselves! This week I have a church service to prepare - my last one before I leave - so made a good start on cooking that frog this morning. Then I've been tidying the living room - decluttered maybe a dozen books out of the 3 boxes I've packed. I could have done more but I took time to sit down and untangle a ball of wool while watching some trash on daytime TV ...Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅🏅⭐️ ⭐️, DH: 🏅⭐️ and one for Mum: 🏅14

Today I had a good sort out of craft stuff - paper and card - piled it up in the porch. There was also foam sheets, tissue and crepe paper packs.
Daughter, Granddaughter and Grandson collected it after school.
Headteacher Daughter will use the stuff to supplement her school budget. She was really pleased with it.
Granddaughter still has no job to start in September - schools are cutting back and not hiring.
I have already packed my shopping trolley for tomorrow's trip to the charity shop. I am getting rid of the stuff that was going to be listed for sale. So one large bag has gone from the top landing.
I am going to sort more craft stuff to be collected on Wednesday.

Kept being disturbed today so wasn’t able to continue with filing cabinet. Did sort out a couple of the ‘matters arising’ from the weekend’s clear out.
Went through some more books to go on the new shelves - one for CS and another to be looked at a bit more closely before deciding whether to keep.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅12 -

Monday: I slept reasonably well in 2 to 2.5 hour sessions. Forgot to mention last night that the arrangement of our room was that there were 2 steps up to the bathroom then another step up to the toilet - see pic
The last time I got up was at 07:45, went to the loo then came back to the landing section at the top of the 2 steps turned to look at the bedside table but forgot about the top step so moving sideways fell down the first step, lost my balance & with flailing arms also missed the bottom step. I managed to swivel round enough & landed flat on my back also hitting my head on the floor 😩 To say I was surprised is putting it mildly 😉 Laid there for a few minutes with DH enquiring about what had happened & me checking that I hadn’t broken or twisted anything. No issues apart from a slight headache - so took a tablet. After calming down & letting my heart rate return to normal, I got dressed & we went down to breakfast about 08:50. DH had a full English breakfast whilst I had a fried egg with 2 rashers of bacon + 2 slices of toast & marmalade washed down with orange juice & coffee. Went back to our room, finished the packing & then whilst DH packed the bike I paid for last night’s dinner & drinks. I was given the bill to check, noticed that it was cheaper than expected so being a good child I pointed out that they had left off the price of 3 pints of beer 😉 Bill amended & everyone was happy 😃 Lovely bright start to the day sun shining & quite warm. We headed off to Penrith where we stopped to buy a charging cable for the camera & to fill up with petrol. Then M6, followed by A75 towards Stranraer driving through Galloway National Forest for 2 hours ending up at The Mill House at Fleet where we sat outside the cafe & watched the wagtails flitting from rock to rock in the river whilst we drank coffee & ate a cookie & slice of orange cake 🙂 We were also entertained by Mr & Mrs blackbird accepting biscuit crumbs 🙂 This was the view from the cafe terrace
After that A75 onto A714 & ended up at Isle of Whithorn - lovely picturesque harbour. Whilst DH was taking photos of landmarks I ended up chatting to another motorcyclist & we continued the conversation when DH got back. Lovely Scottish gentleman who was out on his first solo ride since his hip replacement 8.5 weeks ago. Then resumed our journey - 714 to A712 & then onto A702 (scenic & winding road) to our hotel in Thornhill, arriving at 17:45. It had been a pleasant day of riding with plenty of sunshine & temperatures in the low to mid 20’s. Very tired & achy so climbing up two flights of stairs was not a good start & when we entered the room DH noticed a bad smell. DH had a shower & noticed the bad smell finally went away so must have been standing water in the pipes. However also noticed black mould in the shower. Went down to dinner at 18:50. We were given an appetiser of bread with a mustard & honey butter 🤤 DH had Taiwanese fried chicken which he loved, followed by chilli con carne. I had prawn cocktail followed by Ricotta Gnudi (ricotta dumplings) in a rich tomato sauce - delicious 😋. One pint for me, 3 for DH. We sat out in the beer garden for a while until we got too cold. Back in our room 21:10 then DH listened to a podcast whilst I watched TV.
Today’s animal report: sheep, cows, horses, ducks, swans, butterflies, a solitary bumble bee, swallows, jackdaws, sparrows, blackbirds, wagtails & at least 18 red kites 🤩
Apologies for falling behind with the cheerleading but didn’t realise what the time was 😞 will try harder tomorrow 😉 Sleep tight everyone 😴
