Walked into town with Mr F yesterday and took donations to two charity shops.
I worked on altering dresses this morning - I have 5 finished.
I text an offer to help at SA food bank as they were low on volunteers but I wasn't needed. Then I got a call - someone was ill - could I help out. So I was working at food bank this morning.
Very warm here with only a slight breeze.
Asked Mr F if he wanted to go out this afternoon - he was on the toilet - as usual - so I said - I am ready to go - it's now or never today. That got him out of the cloakroom!
We walked to town and deposited donations at two charity shops.
Stayed on the bus and went to get some shopping at Lid.
It was so hot on the bus coming home.

Had no idea it was so hot out as working at home which is very cool - great june- august and awful the rest of the year.
Sent off some photos to auction house to see if anything worth selling - table linen and some crockery.
Have wrapped up huge vintage platter for CS - hopefully someone may want for summer party - can fit a huge salmon or something - kept a smaller one for now, but once I've moved something out then similar things easier.
sorted out bank frog and reassured I thought my 0% credit card had to be settled next month but have many more months!
Hope everyone surviving the heat, and hope to report more over the weekend

- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Friday con’d: I had a productive couple of hours - took in yesterday’s washing which is now folded & put away. The 2 pieces of mail I received were both about my finances so phoned bank & paid my CC bill, transferred some monies to a savings account & after obtaining transaction details for the last 3 weeks I updated my paper accounts 😊 no spreadsheets for me 😂 I still prefer pen & paper & mental arithmetic 😉 I have also completed my competition entry form & read my weekly magazine. DH filled the bird feeders & fed the worms. I asked DH to order in - beef burger for DH & chicken burger & fries for DSis & me. Had a long chat with neighbour G - his eldest has just turned 18 😧 They have been investigating university costs & it is horrendous 😱 - Halls of Residence £400 per week + £9,250 for a year’s fees 😥 We then went onto how easy it is now to get a fine for unintentional motoring offences due to minuscule, confusing or badly placed signage 😡 Dinner turned up & very tasty it was too 😋 Wudupa. Started raining about 22:00 & the thunder started about 40 minutes later.

Great work on Thursday Liverpool_Anne 👏 Well done on ignoring the passport email 👏 I did a quick google & apparently it is a scam as the Passport Office do not & could not possibly remind everyone when their passport needs renewing. It is probably a random phone number generator & thousands of people get a message etc. Hopefully you managed to get the bank accounts issue sorted 🤞
🦋TC77, a good start to your 50 items for the weekend 👏
Excellent work vulpix 👏 Very pleased to hear that MrV helped move the last of the bricks 😊 Just wondering if you will still be able to keep up with the craft group once you move 🤔 I take it that MrV was working on Friday hence you having the house to yourself 😉
CRANKY40, congratulations to your DS 🥳 Hopefully the resubmission will get the desired result 🤞Excellent decluttering in May & June 👏 definitely merits a Gold Star ⭐️
Excellent work decluttering the nest of tables Soontobeoap 👏 Just wondering if it is possible to rent a wallpaper steamer 🤔 Good luck with the living room decorating 🍀
TC77, I think it will take my DSis quite a while to forgive me for making her watch it 😂 Definitely overrated ☹️ A quick result on finding someone to declutter your gutters 🤩
oceanspirit, your OH is most welcome 😊 Excellent work sorting out current paperwork & well done on dealing with admin tasks before they became frogs 👏
Brie, those mitts sound wonderful 😊 Any chance of a photo 🙏

Just caught up on the Friday posts - I'd been out most of the day and there's been more going on than sometimes. I see some excellent decluttering and paperwork-clearing going on. 😊I don't expect any from me this weekend since I'm volunteering as a chaplain at a big music festival this weekend, it's a short drive (and I was fortunate with traffic) but then a 45+min walk from the car park to the arena area where we're based. Then 4 hours walking around and chatting with people before the long walk back. Totally not my kind of music, way too loud and out of my comfort zone, but I enjoyed myself anyway. It's a scorcher this year though - I'm glad I'm on the first shift yesterday and today. It's afternoon tomorrow but hopefully cooler.

Hi all, reasonable day yesterday. I got the bank issue sorted though it did involve me having to make a phone call while sat outside a coffee shop 😂. The person in the bank gave me a number to phone and wrote me a crib sheet which was very useful but I couldn't wait until I got home to make the call 😂. Much passing of the call from one person to another, 2 other phone numbers collected for direct contact should I need to contact them again and all very helpful so it was sorted, panic over 😁. I then went to get my hair cut based on the fact that I will need a new passport photo and didn't want to look like a burst couch for the next 10 years 😂.
Then called into the sm for bits, then home.
Bedroom recycling emptied and a minor sort through my knicker draw, 2 pairs relegated to the rag bag then into the garden. It was quite warm and OH arrived home and made a pot of coffee so a long sit in the sun and a chat 😁. Despite rain being forecast decided all the pots needed a good water so did mine and ln's then as it had cooled down a bit I tackled the bamboo for a couple of hours. Although I am no where near finished with this task I am beginning to think I can actually get it done 😁. It will just take time 😂. Came in when it started to rain and sorted tea.
There are some very dark clouds hovering this morning but I am gearing up to get back out into the garden, might have to dodge the showers but I need to just keep at it.
@Vulpix glad all your hard work with the balsam paid off last year, it gives me hope the same can be said for the bamboo 😂
@Mrs SD hope your trip to Scotland goes well 😁
Right off into the garden I go

Fab picture @Florenceem. We had our thunder and lightning this morning when it was already daylight so not nearly as impressive.
Thanks for my gold star MrsS_D
Nothing decluttered yesterday other than a rather .long and waity hospital appointment. No complaints though - it's all part of the process and they were happy with the outcome of last years operation.
I'm just using some of my yarn stash to make a dinosaur for one of my great nephews. I've already made one for his brother. Total of things going back with my sister at the end of the month will be (amongst other things) 2 dinosaurs, 3 crochet snakes and 3 "for tv watching on the sofa" blankets. I made one blanket for my niece in law 2 years ago but she won't let any of my nephews touch it so I've made them one each and one for my little great niece too. I'll count it all when it finally leaves the house.
Off to make a bit more dinosaur then we're going out for some fresh air. Take care all of you 😊
