Hi all, not a bad day yesterday. Managed to get the washing dry before the rain arrived but I was up late so only managed about 2 hours on the bamboo between the showers. I got a text message yesterday telling me my passport was due for renewal and it takes about 3 weeks to renew but I could do it online, click here! My passport does need renewing but it got me thinking how do they know my phone number ? when did they make that link ? I find this a bit worrying tbh. Much too big brother for my liking. I didn't click it just in case though I will renew my passport soon as I need to get my driving licence renewed soon and I know they can use the same photo if you give them the link 🙄. I tackled some emails, 200 deleted including one which I am sure was a scam saying I hadn't renewed my road tax, click here to avoid an £80 fine. Being sure I had paid it I never the less checked my email files and the confirmation email was where I thought it was, so that was good but again it made me think, how has this scammer got my email address and how did they know my road tax was due at the beginning of June? That email was deleted without clicking anything 😁. And then to put the top hat on it I checked my banking app and 2 accounts have appeared that I know nothing about. They are not mine, that I know of. I can't actually get in to them but I am going to have to go to the bank today to sort it out. I have made a note of all the monies in my other accounts just in case 🙄. The post was sorted as well, we only seem to get deliveries every Preston guild and then it's a big pile.
@Muddy_Walker sorry to hear you are struggling back at full time work, maybe you just need a bit more time to adjust but for now try not to stress about finances, easy said I know, but I am sure it won't help with your health. Take whatever help your employer can give, they do sound as if they want to help , and good luck with the pip assessment, big hugs
@Mrs SD, thank you for my medal 😁
Right off for a shower and trip to the bank
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Mrs SD thank you for my medal... I will keep it polished.
Small vase, top and 2 pairs or earrings in CS.
Hoping to get a couple of frogs done.
The 4 items this morning will count to my 50.
@Muddy_Walker I do hope you get your pip and taking care of yourself.11 -
21 years on the school run Charlies tribe, I think you deserve a bit of a lie in after that!
Muddy you are a marvel. xxx
Bricks moved with Mr V's help. Rain stopped play in the garden but a few nice days forecast from tomorrow. I must say after nearly doing myself in last year fighting the Himalayan balsam on the top garden, I can't see any appearing up there yet. It will come back in the future as I am sure I will have missed some but if the new people keep on it it could be eradicated.
Went through the fridge contents, chucked a couple of things, found some olives I had forgotten about, yum. Went through a kitchen drawer. Re homed the little zoo animals to the toy box. We find them all over after a visit from baby V.
A bag of soft plastics and a bag of batteries to the supermarket.
Emptied the airing cupboard in the bathroom, for the boiler service. It had the framed pictures that I was going to put up in the spare room until I put the house up for sale. Also the EEC body wash mountain inherited from MIL.
It seems you have some nice weather for your trip Mrs SD, give us a wave on your way past.
My mystery chazzer purchase was a pair of red woollen mittens with a Canadian maple leaf on.
What to do today? Home alone on a Friday. A bit of pottering in the garden perhaps, certainly some knitting, it's our little craft group later. First a bit of packing up of nicnacs from our bedroom.

Hello good folks,
I've been reading along since I returned from my holiday and I've been decluttering but not posting. Not sure why - probably the post holiday disorganisation that comes with trying to unpack and put everything away. After that we had a nail biting wait for ds's uni results. They came this morning and he has one resubmission which he's not too traumatised by.
Anyhow, my total decluttered for May was 200 things and for June so far (up to yesterday) it's 130. The early part of this week was slow moving because the general rubbish bin was full but it's been emptied now so I can carry on. Anything that needs taking to the tip for recycling (bigger cardboard boxes, hard plastics etc) is in the shed for now. I'll do a tip run sometime next month when ds has time to help me. He is head down in uni stuff just now so hopefully he'll pass the previously failed unit.
Onwards and outwards with the decluttering - take care all of you
😊

florianatwobob said:@Muddy_Walker Rosemary oil is meant to help with thinning hair, DSis has swapped to Rosemary shampoo and I think it has made a difference. Not sure if it was the radiotherapy of the sudden removal of her ovaries that caused the thinning and she’s always had very fine hair so this really didn’t help.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

So decluttered a solid oak nest of tables today on Wightbay. That's created a bit of space in the living room. It is much harder to declutter the wood chip paper though. We definitely need a steamer!!!
Also gave a huge pile of magazines to a neighbour so that cleared out a complete corner cupboard.
Everything is bing moved into dining room for the clear out, so we look more cluttered but I know that we will be much clearer when living room is done.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday continued: I had a lovely surprise as I was making dinner, an ex colleague/friend phoned 🥹 We had a lovely but brief 15 minute catch up & I arranged to call when back from Scotland. Not quite as long a gap as Wednesday2000 but I was shocked to realise that it was 26 months since we last spoke 😔 Back to making dinner - omelettes with a cheese, mushroom & bacon filling. Wudupa. DSis & I watched a film which won 7 Oscars in 2022 & were both very, very disappointed, confused & quite peeved at wasting 3 hours of our lives 😞 Any guesses…….. give up, it was called “Everything, Everywhere, All At Once”
1027 - 1029 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, glass bottle - recycled
1030 Kitchen detritus - binned
Friday is another bright sunny day & hot with a high of 28°C & a low of 16°C. I will go straight into cheerleading:
TC77, This “A friend reminded me of teenage years when jeans were v tight and she'd lie on the changing room floor get a button done up and then friends or assistant help squish you in and do the zip up!” did make me smile 😀 Although I never quite succumbed to this as I was always too afraid that I would tear something & have to pay for clothing I couldn’t wear 😅 Good luck with your continued decluttering 🍀
Muddy_Walker, HUGS & CWTCHES you are spoiling us 🥹 As Moorviews expressed it so well, I will echo her comment “hugs for all the adjustments you are having to make to cope with your illness and treatment. I hope that you get your PIP.” I love that you are not only “rocking bandanas” but that you also have such a supportive hubby 🥹 Also relieved to hear that you have a supportive boss 😊 Please remember to visit the TLC Carriage 😉
Brambling, I sincerely apologise in advance for my insensitivity when reading This “As a student I went into the ladies of a pub in Old Portsmouth (a bit spit and sawdust!) to find a girl laying on the floor crying as she couldn't do her tight jeans back up, her friend had used a wire coat hanger to get her into them at home 😁” as I laughed out loud 😂 - I am now hanging my head in shame & have put myself on the naughty step 😔 Excellent decluttering both indoors & outdoors 👏 How lovely that you still have your father’s suitcase & it is still in use 🥺 Hope the op goes well.
Lovely cheerleading post Moorviews ☺️ This “……… but still adding clothes to the CS bag. I have most definitely changed shape and it is interesting how differently things fit.” is so true for me also ☹️ Good luck with the Ws 🍀 please remember to wear a hat whilst outside doing the weeding 🙏
Breaking off from the cheerleading as there was a knock on the door & someone I vaguely recognised asked if he could borrow a ladder to get into a loft. Ladder duly loaned & brought back 40 minutes later, at which point DH & I chatted with said gentleman 😊 The reason I vaguely recognised him was that he owns one of the nearby houses but moved out with his family in 2010 (for work) but kept the house as a rental property. Still no clue as to his name 😂
DH has already packed his bag for our trip to Scotland. Having been distracted, I will post this & come back later to continue the cheerleading. Hope everyone is having a good day 😊

Mrs SD I found everywhere, everything all at once confusing a few years ago. Dd2 had a uni film assignment on it , well it was a video essay and surprised how much analysis she managed but from memory it was the benefit of focusing on one thing at one time ( maybe one relationship) that it was trying to convey. Overrated film. I've some tickets to use up at picture house but can't see anything that I think worth several hours and getting there etc.
I can see a parallel with my house and the film and my decluttering process
Gutters being decluttered at the moment.14 -
OH says to thank you for his medal, Mrs SD. Have a lovely time in Scotland.
Was about to start the next bag of old papers then realised that it was probably better to sort out the piles of current filing first, getting rid of several papers that don’t need to be kept. So, phase one of that is now done. Phase two will be going through current files to get rid of as much as possible. Phase three will be actually filling the papers to be kept.
Several admin tasks done this morning to prevent them becoming frogs and all papers from those tasks have been filed.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅14 -
