- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Friday was a bright sunny day with a forecast high of 20°C, low of 8°C & breezy. DH left 13:10 for his 3rd laser treatment on his hands (he has Dupuytren’s) DSis popped out to pick up some meds & reactivate her Oyster. DH got home 17:30 as he came home by bus - 4 new bus route numbers added to his list 😉 Dinner was chicken & chips for DSis whilst DH & I had salmon fillets, boiled potatoes & peas. Wudupa

Lovely post TC77 😊 Good luck with both the listings & donations to CS 🍀
GrannyKate, nice to see you back 👋 What an horrendous journey that was - I do hope you managed to stay hydrated 🙏 Sorry to hear that the kitchen fitter took longer than he should have ☹️ Fingers crossed that it doesn’t take too long to complete the finishing touches 🤞Then you can enjoy your new uncluttered kitchen 😊
Brie, thanks for the ideas about relieving itching 👏
Muddy_Walker, pleased to hear that you are going through a phased return to work rather than straight back 😊 Keeping everything crossed that the medical issues that you & your hubby have will soon be resolved 🤞 + the ‘problem person’ in your hubby’s workplace will be dealt with 😉
Excellent work in the garden Soontobeoap 👏 Fingers crossed that the raspberry bushes survive their relocation 🤞
A very busy Friday Liverpool_Anne 🤩 Excellent work especially sorting the digital frog 👏
Hopefully our Declutterati family members who haven’t posted for a while are all OK & are just busy with RL 🙏 Cwtches to all 🤗 Sleep tight 😴

Yesterday out odd sock, leaky pen and pen that stopped working !
Today some paper, sorted some of my many buttons and have some to pass on and those that I don't have the garments will go woth like coloured rather than stay in their own little bag ( which I label) but take up more room.
Making huge cous cous salad ro take to friends so used my huge old mixing bowl and know more which items I use but also need to clear the side more as misjudged space and knocked glass of water and then my dressing but saved most.

Thank you for the offer of an old can Liverpool Anne. I will take you up on that, I can't see it will be done soon as I always have more pressing projects on. The can I do have is currently in the shed. I have washed it in the bath and it is looking nicely distressed. It will take me forever to decide whether to leave it original or paint it, plus it still smells heavily of fuel, plus I actually can't figure out how to thread flex through. Perhaps there's something on youtube.
I inherited bamboo a couple of houses ago. It wasn't massively invasive but I didn't like it. I spent a summer digging it out. Very hard work and I expect it only rejuvenated it.Someone else's problem now!
Duchess 2, if you itch with codeine, I think you could have a sensitivity to morphine. I am allergic to morphine and itch is one of my symptoms. I also itch because I have a liver problem, I will ask my consultant about magnesium supplements to see if that helps. Thanks for the tip. I had completely forgotten about calamine. I remember having the lotion as a kid, it must have been for chicken pox.
Muddy, glad to hear things are more positive. I did a phased return to work after breast cancer and it felt like I hadn't been away after half an hour!
Granny Kate, I hope you are all straight now. I was still moving things about to better places in my kitchen 12 months after it was finished. I just shoved stuff in at the time to get the disruption over more quickly. Can we have a pic of the finished job?
Mrs SD, DS will try to email you again. He is keen to have some feedback.
So, I am steadily using up knitting yarn. I am a one trick pony and churn out little jumpers using the same easy pattern. Different sizes dependant on the amount of wool there is.
Mr V brought the converted telephone table in and I have undercoated and painted it. I used up 2 little tins of paint from the cupboard. yess! The cushions I acquired are too big so they can go to the charity shop. They have come up lovely after a wash. I have other cushions I can use and will make covers with fabric from my stash. I will also put a couple of knobs on the doors from my stash. The ones it has are too fancy.
I will get a few things together and offer them on thrift. The telephone table came with a buttoned cushion on a board as the seat. I thought about making a dressing table stool with hairpin legs but someone else can do it! As much as I like making things and saving things from landfill I don't need a stool.
My next project is sewing up a seam on an occasional chair. We are collecting it today from Thrift. It can then go to my Mum's house to wait until we move.
The bloke who viewed on Thursday who was measuring up for his furniture and made an offer on the spot has disappeared. Grrr I don't want to do any more viewings. I always thought I would like to be an Estate Agent but in retrospect I couldn't be doing with all the time wasters. I am close to taking it off the market again. I am finding the process quite stressful.
Better get a wriggle on, we are going to Llandudno in a bit.

I've been working so hard on buying less food for cupboards and using it all up from there and the fridge that I seem to have forgotten the freezer. Somehow it's been filling up whilst I wasn't looking, so I need to get that down as well. I did use some orange juice I'd saved in a rhubarb cake earlier, but definitely lots left to get through.Declaring 2 bits of packaging in, but lots of stuff out again (although not from me). The house is slowly getting much tidier. Just doing a bit every day.11 - paper, reused then recycled

I haven't posted this week. Time just flew by.
I was working on my daughter's cushion covers.
We have been watching more Agatha Christie Hours.
I went to the shopping centre with Mr F on Monday - told him to follow me as I headed to the lift in Sainsbobs. I got to the lift - Mr F was not behind me. My first thought was - he has gone through the door into the car park area - I had visions of him dodging cars with his rollator.
I couldn't find Mr F so I went up in the lift - he had gone on the travelator! So dangerous but he said - it was fine. He wouldn't listen to me about not being allowed to go on it with a mobility aid.
On the way out of the store - I spoke to a chap at the security desk and asked him to speak to Mr F. Chap said - Sir, if you hold onto a shopping trolley on the travelator - it has a magnet to keep from moving - your walker does not. So Sir - it is not safe for you to use the travelator - you need to travel in the lift for safety.
I was at a long meeting in the evening so a tiring day.
Lots of posts to read.

Hello declutterati chums! I’ve got the socks organized. At first I had too many for the two small drawers but after trying to get another drawer for them I bit the bullet and became a bit more Ruth . I now have 1 drawer for winter socks , 1 drawer for for summer socks and the four pairs of very heavy Sochi socks that I never wear are in with the tights box in the dressing to await winter when I will take them to the CS. The reason in haven’t worn them is because they make my shoes too tight. So, flush with success I now have half of my summer clothes out on the bed ready for culling.
So out
6 pairs of pop socks in packaging
5 pairs of socks for CS
5 pairs to recycling
1pile of pop sock types to bin is recycling as all fabric has to be recycled here - no more to a bin.
2 uu razors
i pile small rubbish
found while searching for another small drawer.
2 linen summers blouses - no more ironing for me which is why they haven’t been worn in 20+ years.Totals 22+273=295Hugs for everyone and my heart goes out to all of you with troubles .xx10 -
QueenJess - Mr F had one of those globes - it went when the house was modernised. We don't drink alcohol so it was surplus anyway plus I didn't like it.
Granddaughter has an interview for a teaching post. She is waiting to hear from another school - one she used to attend.
Tie backs are packed ready for collection.
The cushion covers for daughter's bedroom are finished - 2 patterned and 3 plain.

suzeesu2000 - thanks for asking. I have had an eventful and tiring week.
We have had sunshine this week but also chilly breezes off the sea. The temperature has not been as high as in some areas.
My town is busy getting ready for the Dynamo 85 years events.
On Tuesday I got my overlocker out and set it up to find - it didn't work! I bought it before Mr F went into hospital the second time this year.
I still had my old overlocker so used it to finish the seams on the cushion covers.
The cushion covers for the other 2 bedrooms are finished - I made them to fit the inserts she already had.
