Hi all, small wins yesterday. Cake decorating in the morning, we were model making with a view to decorating a cake with an undersea theme 😁. I had everything I needed in my bag and have decluttered a tin to my friend E who said last week she needed one 😁. I will post a photo when I am on my phone. I called at the sm on my way home for a small shop. When I got home the bathroom bin was emptied and the top of the gas cupboard was cleared, lots of random things put away and a pile of OH's post handed over to be sorted and I ordered my meds. After tea I had a burn in the chimenea and decluttered a big bag of wood collected from various old garden things 😁. I have another bag and might get to it tonight. They have been waiting a few weeks for an evening when none of the neighbours has any washing out 😁.
I have a load swishing but am having a lazy start to the day as it was quite late when I came in from the garden 😁 and I have a union meeting later.
@Mrs SD, forgot to say thank you for my medal and I hope you found your root beer 😁. It is something I have never tried but I will keep an eye open for it now to give it a try 😁. I'm with you on the influencers, they seem to make a living by putting their lives online and getting paid for the number of subscribers while expecting people to give them things for free. OH had one who expected free driving lessons as she said she would be advertising OH's business. OH had no truck with that. A waiting list is in use and OH could work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week just by word of mouth recommendations 😁.
@Soontobeoap not sure if this applies to your area but here I was able to get a compost bin quite cheaply from my council which might help with your composting 😁.
@Brie thanks for the info on root beer, very interesting but I would have no idea where to get the ingredients to make it 😁 but I will definitely look out for some to try
@Vulpix so sorry to hear about your son's mil. It is always a hard thing to deal with, hugs to all the family. I have everything crossed that one of the viewings is someone who is in a position to buy and falls in love with your beautiful house, also that the change in ea helps with your mum's house, I can understand how you are exhausted with it all, hugs. On another note I also have an old petrol can aquired last year with a view to turning it into something but I have no idea how, you can have it if you want it, you will make much better use of it than I will In the foreseeable future 😂. Well done to Mr V funding the right cable 😂.
@QueenJess well done on resisting the french dresser, that must have been hard 😁. Decluttering Lego is pretty major, most children I know love it 😁
@StickyTheStickInsect hope Cookie recovers well from her op. I think it's the glue in cardboard that attracts cats, I think they use fish bones in it. I must say though I have never met a car who didn't love a cardboard box though most seem content to just sleep or sit in them 😂.
Right time to get on with sorting the washing
Hugs to everyone who would like one
733 meds ordered
734 bathroom bin
735 cake tin
736 bag of wood burnt
737 top of gas cupboard cleared
Take care everyone

I spent about an hour rearranging my new storage boxes onto my husband's old record shelves. It looks so much better! I have been left with various wicker baskets I was using before so I might donate them to a charity shop. I rearranged the kitchen stuff on the cabinet too as I had two boxes spare. I realised that I have two unopened packets of this hot chocolate powder that is supposed to help you sleep. It didn't work for me or my husband so he is giving it to his brother today to see if it works for him.
It feels much chillier today. I'm happy that my dog is back today as it feels like I haven't seen her in ages.13 -

@Brambling .you made giggle.
The gardening is still slow going. DH took on the front whilst I did more on the back garden. More composting bags made up ready to go behind the shed for 2 years. 2 bags of ready compost spread on garden and a bin bag of old pots and a broken barrel out for the bin men. Like others it is a slow process but progress is progress.😊craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £17.98 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

@Brambling... was reading your post when popped out for lunch and great light relief.
DB knocked over one of my favourite glass cups ( not the saucer) but realise only use for me and its one of 4. Saucer will be useful for covering small dishes in the fridge!15 -
Been sitting watching my k-dramas and eating too much. Decided I had to do something so that half made shirt from my beginner sewing has been taken apart - fabric in recycling and pattern together with 4 others in CS bag . Given up the fantasy dressmaker me! It got me using a sewing machine to take up curtains and I'm keen to alter things but as I get so much from CS don't need to make anything. Keeping wool etc as I hope to get back to knitting. Small step but something - looking at the far too many things in my house but think I will avoid tonight. Busy work tomorrow and out of London to see old friends. We're all taking food and foolishly offered to make salads rather then buy stuff so will be fun on the train with cooler bag etc.. Need to shop after work tomorrow .
Seem to have taken up too many interests and activities and unsure if on some level to avoid sorting out papers/house?

Finished deleting random drafts in one email account. Now have 2 drafts which I may send instead of 73 - counting as 3 to get to 860 as going to delete some from my sent box.12

@Floss... There is definitely some avoidance although I am trying to have interests in the hope of stopping work at some point. I hope you're enjoying some time to relax and enjoy the sunshine when it's here. Just deleted some more emails. I think I need to say 30 mins at some point each day and can be anything!15

Liverpool Anne, I'm laughing too! Thanks for the graphic description. However, I'm wondering how you take care of how you eat? Bamboo is really dificult to dig up and get rid of. My DD1 has been trying for years but is just comes back with a vengence.Mrs SD - Yes and I still have trouble remembering how to use them all
One is for the TV, One is for the DVD, one for the firestick, one for the sound bar and one for the light! And I think these "influencers just write a blog where they rabbit on about stuff (a bit like us) and somehow get paid money for how many people read it(not like us)"
Brie - Is there no online neighbourhood group you could show the collar on?Queen Jess, love the trees! Can anyone have one of those ginger and rhubarb scones? Never tried them before but they sound yummy.Florenceem, can we see a photo of your peacock peice when finished?Hello to Stickythestickinsect. You've been busy!Pennypinchin, you're making me anxious about getting rid of different sized clothes now. I was convincing myself I'm not going to get smaller but maybe I will?? Or perhaps I'm more likely to get bigger??What have I been doing since I was last here? Not much declttering I think. Some weeding, a little in the room of doom, a bit taken out of my shed while trying to find the pole for the umbrella (which turned out to be tucked inside the umbrella, aaahh! I had an afternoon sewing with my bestie and I made a top to take on that holiday we're going on soon to US & Canada and a bag to give away. I have also been buying a few clothes for this holiday which feels a bit extravagant but I very rarely do. Took DH out for dinner yesterday for his birthday. I've been with my DM quite a lot and this is proving to be tiring since she's taken to waking during the night scratching herself like crazy and begging us to help her to scratch, then she wants to get out of bed, go to the toilet, stay up etc. We've tried cream, antihistimines, other tablets as well as all the usual things to have good sleep but nothing's working so far.TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.14
